Don’t mean to look too much into this, and I don’t know if Joe does it on purpose, but I think it’s a defusing mechanism. Meaning, guy comes at Joe aggressively, and Joe responds by being silly, it shows the guy that he’s not threatening to Joe, and it almost makes him look silly. At the same time it also puts Joe in control in a round about way. Either way it’s brave af, most people would totally bottle it
