  • WHY RADIATOR FAN STAYS ON ALL THE TIME
If your radiator fan stays on all the time when the car is started or with the ignition being on we will explain what is causing that. Radiator fan should not stay on all the time. The radiator fan is supposed to be activated at certain coolant temperature or the radiator might be on if you have the AC turned on. We will demonstrate what could cause that and show you how a bad temperature sensor made our radiator fan stay on all the time.

There are good problems, bad problems and fatal problems in a combustion car. When a radiator fan is not turning On know that you are having a fatal problem but when the a radiator fan is alway On then that's a good problem. A bad problem is when you had installed new parts and checked everything but the problem persist.

Found wires cut. I tested voltage again and there was no power kept tracing the wires. Found it cut in another place . All fixed . And now fans works as required .

so am I just dumb? lol I just got a 2022 Dodge Charger scat pack, it started having some issues and the dealership "fixed" it but I got it back and theres a bad grinding noise I haven't figured it out yet, I'm bringing the car back to them in the morning. But another thing that threw me off is the radiator fan not being on... I thought fans were on at all times, my other vehicles are a 08 Ram 1500, 01 F150, 01 Yukon, 08 Mustang I have never ever had the hood open on any of these and not had the fans turning. My Chargers fan was not blowing when I first heard the noise and it was not blowing when I got back home after driving approx 38 miles. Its a scat so the car is LOUD I'm not going to hear a fan come on and off... but I have not seen it operational. I know I'm not a mechanic but it was weird as hell to me to not see that fan moving, I've done basic enough repairs I can do myself to many of my vehicles I have never seen their fans not spinning. Never.

@@cam-3461 Short answer: a rather irritatingly hidden addition to the coolant system that nobody explained to me untill i found this video.
      Long answer:
Turns out there is a 2nd coolant temperature sensor on that car that i.didn't know existed untill recently.
You have the one right at the coolant return line, which is easy enough to access, and sends info to your temp gauge.
The other sensor, as was unbeknownst to me, is at the bottom of the radiator. Right at the start of the coolant sending line. This sensor controls when your cooling fans turn on or off.
      It stopped working.
And if the car detects no sensor readings from.there, it will keep the cooling fans on for redundancy. Smart design choice. I just wish i had found it sooner.

I have a 2016 Silverado Ltz and the radiator fan stays on the entire time the truck is running. Also the ac don’t get cold until 10-30 minutes. Then is blows super cold all day. I changed the coolant temp sensor and disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and it still doing the same thing. I’m not getting any codes and my gauge on the inside is reading correctly. Any ideas?

This is what happened to my car 2007 Kia Sorento after I replace the radiator! The fan went on right away waiting for the bubbles to get out of the radiator and cooling system. So the engine was actually cold yet when the radiator fan went on before the antifreeze got to operating temperature. Help please? Also I have no check engine lights. And the car is at operating temperature where it should be.

      You can drive it.
Hell, you can live with it.
The cooling fans being on isnt going to harm anything at all.
On the other hand, if they stay off, and never turn on, _THEN_ driving it 20 miles is not a good idea unless 18 of those miles are highway.

I have a slightly different problem. The radiator fan does the same thing but only when you turn the aircon on. Then it stays blowing full, I have to turn the car off to reset it. It's not the relays. No check begin light.

hi, I’m just wondering if anyone here has experienced the fan turning on randomly while the cars parked. This can go on for several hours and it stops when I lock/unlock the car door. Mine has happened several times now and as a result the battery drains and I get the battery low warning when I start the car. Have checked the auto climate control settings and nothing is programmed in, it’s a feature I never use.

I noticed that after the thermostat the collar is always cold while the rest is hot. An engineer who went to the car told me that I had to put in the original thermostat and change the pipe from the water bucket to the end of a plastic valve. because there is no ventilation .. the temperature light has not come on. Can you help me if I change the thermostat to genuine will solve the problem
