Thank you for playing for us. Lovely rich tone. Large hands and long fingers are helpful. Can't help loving those wonderful chords.

Thank you 🎹 and yes, true, in this case long fingers and big hands do indeed help a lot: many times I see students struggle with it. But also indeed with the sound, not only the stretch. And thus we see that one of the "easiest" preludes of Chopin is indeed not easy at all..
Thanks again, kind regards, Simon 🎹

Always when a student plays this piece (that's known as one of the "easiest" of Chopins famous Preludes), I am always reminded of the fact that's it's not easy at all ! Of course, compared to most (if not all) of the other 24 preludes, this one is, especially technically speaking, relatively "rather easy", but I am almost never satisfied when a student plays it...there are so many "hidden difficulties" in pieces like this, (as also in the maybe even more famous no. 4 !), so much "hidden technique" is needed to let it sound convincingly and musically and sonorous and fluent.
Kind regards! Greetings again from The Netherlands, Simon 🎹
