I love this game and it's probably the best and only Vamp RPG I've ever played. The one and only thing I don't like is the amount of backtracking to prior areas without fast travel and having ti cure people all the damn time to keep a district safe. It's so tiring managing the districts heath but everything else is amazing in my opinion.

I'll most likely watch the good ending on youtube since I love long and intricate skill trees. Can't wait to enact vengeance on Joe. Thanks to your review I'll definitely try Vampyr out, good job bro!

This gives me very similar vibes to Technomancer, also published by Focus. The French seem to be making their own particular brand of eurojank, trading off the openness of the world for (some more) stability and polish.

Oh god, Techomancer. That one is in the same league with Elex. Two games that I enjoyed but I never want to play ever again

Was just thinking about trying this game, I really think I will after this review. Keep 'em coming! Also, I don't really mind clunkier games if they are fun, especially if they come from small developers. Let's not forget how many AAA studios put out unplayable garbage.

Yeah, but there’s only so much jank I can endure. Sometimes I feel like playing something big and shallow, but polished haha. Like, a movie with a good concept but shoddy execution is much more enjoyable than a game, because the former is a short, passive experience whereas a game demands more from you. And thanks so much, I’m happy my review convinced you to try it out!

I was sure I already owned this and had never got round to playing it, but after five minutes of checking Steam, GoG, Epic, EA, etc. I can't find it. Guess I'll probably pick it up in the Winter sales.

There’s a great game underneath the jank, but yeah, wait for it to go on sale. I think it’s 10 bucks on the PS store atm

Not able to watch now but can't wait! I never finished the game because it kept crashing. So I tweeted them asking for the achievements 🤣

Thanks Kara! 😄 Afaik Vampyr had huge performance issues at release, but they’ve managed to fix most of the problems. I’ve experienced the occasional framerate dip in Whitechapel, but otherwise, it runs very well
