📱 What screen recorder am I using?
I use Camtasia to make all my videos. From my experience it's the best screen recorder available, and I like the built in video editor and cursor effects. Check it out here: techsmith.z6rjha.net/ba9x0M

Very cool, I’m on my way to not buying files off Etsy thanks to you Rick. You are a teacher and inspiration for us older folks who want to continue to learn new things. Keep it up
Thank you so much! This is my whole goal with the channel- to share info that may help people create their own designs.
Diagonal Grid Lines! OMG thanks for that game changing hack. 👍🍺 from Western 🇨🇦
IKR!! 🤯
Haha. Love the diagonal guides!
Ah! Grasshopper has learnt something new. Thank you sansei Rick. 😜
Haha! Thank you!
Thanks again. I always learn a little trick watching your videos, like the diagonal guideline. Stay inspired!
Thanks!! I love the little diagonal trick.
Sooo cool!!! I didnt know you can have a diagonal guide!!! Holy moly
Haha. Thanks! They snuck that one in there.
Fantastic effect, thanks for the video. Little tip, to select whole objects, like the V for example, select a single node and press CTRL+A.
And that’s why I love this community! I did not know that and am going to try it first thing in the morning. Thank you!!
@@IronEchoDesign Haha. Well, you'll be glad when in 1.3 you'll be able to select nodes using lasso 😄
Is that coming in 1.3? Nice!!
@@IronEchoDesign Yep 🙃
Excellent!
Thank you!!
Another excellent tutorial, Rick! So grateful to you for these.
Thank you so much!!
As always, Very useful information Rick. Thanks.
Many thanks!!
Nice tutorial , I find advanced technics in your tutorial..
and I wish to begin in Gimp course later...
Thank you! Gimp goes well with Inkscape.
This is awesome! Thank you!
Didn't know that diagonal guide trick
Love that little diagonal trick.
Can you please show us the similar process for creating fonts using inkscape and image trace? Thanks in advance.
Very well done! The mag mouse is a big help for me. Thanks again!
Thank you! I'll keep using it!
You can fill the holes by using path ~> break apart, and then path ~> union
Thank you! Great tip!
@@IronEchoDesign you're welcome.
Can't wait to see more of your designs ;) (I'm also into vector design)
I love experimenting and seeing what we can do with Inkscape. Thanks again, and have a good one!
Very good!
Really. So many things I learned with this "one" tutorial. And the diagonal guides were a surprise to me.
Thank you, sir. 🖖
Thanks!!
I do this with hand drawn artwork but I scan to my computer from my printer/scanner. ThankQ for this tutorial! ❤
Nice! Thanks!
thank very great tutorial as usual since i found your channel you inspired me to start desiging and having a little progect of my own a football fan page start to make a lot of desigins using your tutorial i'm strugling to make my logo to paper effect like those mock ups they do in photoshop i would appretiate if you do a tutorial on this topic and thank you again
Such a great video, Thank you so much! I have a request please, can you do a video about creating a font in inkscape , thank you in advance.
Great idea for an Inkscape video. Well done, thanks. One area I could use some tips in is brochure/flyer design. Specifically, some tips for jazzing up headings (e.g. "Sale", "Special", 50% off!" etc.). Your handwritng video shows one way I guess. Maybe also your 3D text video.
Thanks!! I could do a video that includes something like that. We’re thinking about having a yard sale and was going to make something eye-popping for signage pointing the way.
Great video! I would love if you could teach how to make, if possible, the gravitational and visual distortion caused by high mass and density celestial bodies. Like the Gargantua black hole in Interstellar.
I love that movie so much. Great suggestion. I’ll play around with the design- hopefully I can figure it out.
Great Great Great! All your videos are amazing and very helpful!
It'll be great to know your opinion.I am new to digital art...I wanna create wall art paintings and be able to offer them in different sizes.I am between Krita and Inkscape ...My pantings has many brushes which krita offers me but they aren't vectors...in other hand you can add brushes in inkscape but it's more difficult .Thank you in advance!
PS.It'll be great if you can reccomend any site with plenty of brushes for inkscape! :)
Thank you again for your wonderful videos!
Hey Rick, as a new subscriber to your channel you are truly an inspiration. I mean that...and as a request can you do a video in the style of artist Roy Liechtenstein?
I think his art is perfect for inkscape.
I've tried the use of 'benday dots'(half tones in the digital world) with some degree of success in gimp but really struggling using inkscape.
Thank you so much!! Roy Lichtenstein is iconic. I’ll see if I can get a good tutorial together on Pop Art style with half tone patterns.
👍
Thanks!
I was wondering if you have done any videos on how you can create halftone with inkscape?
I did one a year or so ago, but the method has been made obsolete with the new Tiling feature in Path Effects. I’ll try to make an update. Here is the original video. Inkscape Vector Halftones: How to Make Halftone Patterns with Create Tiled Clones Tool

@IronEchoDesign ya right after I posted this .. not even 5 mins later I found your old video .. I commented on it too " nevermind i found it 😁" lol .. but yes plz if you can find the time to do an update video for halftones I would truly appreciate it..
@@bellamillz6778 I believe Logos by Nick has just released a video on this.
9:13 Aren't these little circles to rotate also on the horizontal and vertical guides?
Yes! All guides I believe can rotate. Cool little feature.
instead of the paint/fill bucket was there a reason you did not just break apart then union to fill in the holes?
Love that method. I was getting "not responding" crashes. Probably too many nodes for my work computer. Should be much more efficient than Paint Bucket when it works.
yeah, I sometimes get that. I thought it was just because my computer is a 2009 Imac running mojave LOL
Haha. Macs hold up. It's about time I upgrade my battle-worn PC.
Yeah mac's hold up but they get let down by OS & software moving on LOL
shame they are not as 'cheap' as PC's :)
First we need to learn to write readable letters actually.
Haha.
