So Garuda got reworked and is now absolutely insane, went from like a high C or Low B to high A or even S teir, her passive is now literally just free permanent double damage and she just feels more tanky because of dread mirror changes
I remember when I first got her back in the day (grind no buy), I was disappointed. I didn’t delete her, thankfully, and left her in the back burner. Then I started using her recently, and I really like her. Just not sure how she’ll do in Steel Path. Hell, I don’t even know how to build for SP anyways. But, she seems like a good frame to cheese some missions.

nidus' 1 consumes energy to deal damage to enemies, every enemy it hits restores 25% of the energy cost, it doesn't take a genius to realize that if nidus hits 5 enemies he has infinite energy, and obviously the more your 1 costs, the more 25% of your 1 is, the more you get from each hit. Garuda on the other hand, garuda has no mathematical explanation for the efficiency of her ability increasing her energy restored
I disagree. Garuda is a warframe that has a base energy scaling that is much higher than normal frames, which makes it a frame that can work well without flow. But you want to be able to cast more with less need for the 3, so you put efficiency, which scales additionally with the 3 so it gives you back more energy.
having less need for an ability is exactly what makes warframes a 1 trick pony, warframes with synergy are desired nowadays, look at vauban, he had one purpose which was crowd control and look what happened to him

Half of the caves in the OV has hidden areas where toroids spawn on the ground. Found basically all of them required for Garuda while fishing and mining, I believe Grind Hard Squad has a video with the locations, learn couple and do some runs if you don't want to stick to shooting things in the face.

I think Revenant was designed as a corrupted Eidolon hunter, and not a sentient. His 1 makes killing enemies easier while also taking them off the radar, his 2 was probably an ability ripped from Eidolons, his 3 makes him health self-sufficiejt in the field, and his 4 was also ripped from eidolons.

I suggested both of these on a Facebook post by warframe when they changed there logo, however they were deleted a couple days after, all of this was before fortuna, I couldn't care less about what you belive or not, but as far as I'm concerned garuda and baruuk are my children.

I'd say this video was a Slam Dunk, But that aside, she's better built if you remove all survival mods and just give her primed flow and quick thinking. You can stay at 2 health all the time and only heal when you need energy (that's why her bloodletting scales off of efficiency, so people don't slam max blind rage and have a constant overflow of energy with no work)
I've got about 1700 hours in game and still like to watch your videos to enjoy learning about the more nuanced or complex interactions that frames and weapons have. Keep it up! Love your stuff!
I can imagine Garuda's augments will be something like... Enveloping Mirror - Blocks damage from an 180 degree arc. Grotesque Altar - The impaled victim terrifies nearby enemies, They stagger for 5s when they walk into the altar's range. Bloodraging - Increases casting speed and melee damage in addition to giving mana. Reaping Talons - If an enemy's health drops to below 25% while marked by talons, they die. or Shredding Talons - Reduces armor of marked enemies. Or Maiming Talons - Slows the movement and attack speed of enemies.
This video nearly gave me a heart attack. I had youtube playing in the background while playing destiny and I just hear triburos shout GARUDA!!!! out of nowhere.
BURRITO DEVIL eeeeh, he's pretty trash. Having a functionally useless 1st ability that DE for some reason though tying every synergy to would make it better (spoiler alert it doesn't). His 2's charges get depleted far too fast. Not to mention its cast animation is slow af which doesn't help the fact that recasting it completely resets the Mesmer charges to 0 while being cast. His threes just there to make Danse more fun. Honestly, I don't understand the appeal of percent damage if their just gonna make it super low. And why is its primary function to heal Revenant? He should always have Mesmer up so why do we have to track down a thrall then hope they don't move out of our reaves path before we reach them. And Danse Macabre is his only solid and useful ability. Tho it's "convert taken damage to dealt damage " mechanic is useless on a frame that can't tank, and when he does tank with Mesmer he actively reduces the number of attackers, reducing the converted damage significantly, making the mechanic useless.
Nah. He IS pretty good at this point. Enthrall can remove up to 7 enemies at a time from combat for a long-ass time, which is 7 enemies both attacking not you and drawing fire of enemies that aren't enthralled. On top of that, they essentially restock themselves when they run low, rarely ever requiring additional casts to keep a handful active. Mesmer Skin, by a similar measure, has a similar effect by removing enemies from combat. Its only real flaws are the openings created by recasting, but otherwise it scales really well into higher level content as it both serves as a buffer against damage (preventing most oneshots) and keeps most enemies that have shot you once from shooting you again. Reave is, frankly, amazing. The fact that it can one-shot or two-shot thralls is extremely useful - the fact that it also heals Revenant is essentially a side bonus. But on top of this it is one of the better mobility-based abilities in the game now that you can steer it while on the floor. If presenting an opening via Mesmer Skin is a serious concern due to there being more active enemies than you'd like, Reaving out of the area and around a corner is a solid strategy. I enjoy Danse, but it's hardly the best ability. The fact that it can shred higher level enemies, even those which are armoured, is pretty nice, but that it needs to take a few hits to dish out the real damage is a bit of a drawback. Personally I find it most useful in lower level content for just crowd clearing.

When I jumped into this game a month or so ago I wanted a frame that would fit me. And when I saw Garuda I thought: those claws look neat. I proceeded to look at the abilities and I thought: holy shit! Blood and gore stuff!(the alters is what caught my eye) and knowing the ins and outs of the ability I can rest knowing I didn't waste time collecting recourses
The one thing that I hate about her, is how her 2 heals. Having a 6m base range is bad enought, but getting x% health per second would be WAY BETTER than how it is now: getting x% health of your lost health per second. That way you get less and less health the closer you get to full health.
Garuda WANTS to have lower health (or at least less than max) because of her passive though, she only needs enough health to not get splatted, and %missing health does that.

For me she's a God when combined with quick thinking, energy mods and using that damage buff... I love using her and if there is a teammate with abilities for energy regeneration... well... she hits hard and won't die due to quick thinking... Garuda is my go-to if I just feel like going on a "murder wholesale" killing spree. I know this vid is about a year old at this point, but if DE gave her a recent rework, maybe do an updated video (?). I realized by watching this, I think either I've been playing her wrong or not modded her well enough for power strength, since I don't have access to those better mods yet. But this was a great vid, Trib. I still love my Nekros as my Edgy McEdge-lord.

BURRITO DEVIL eeeeh, he's pretty trash.
Having a functionally useless 1st ability that DE for some reason though tying every synergy to would make it better (spoiler alert it doesn't).
His 2's charges get depleted far too fast. Not to mention its cast animation is slow af which doesn't help the fact that recasting it completely resets the Mesmer charges to 0 while being cast.
His threes just there to make Danse more fun. Honestly, I don't understand the appeal of percent damage if their just gonna make it super low. And why is its primary function to heal Revenant? He should always have Mesmer up so why do we have to track down a thrall then hope they don't move out of our reaves path before we reach them.
And Danse Macabre is his only solid and useful ability. Tho it's "convert taken damage to dealt damage " mechanic is useless on a frame that can't tank, and when he does tank with Mesmer he actively reduces the number of attackers, reducing the converted damage significantly, making the mechanic useless.
Nah. He IS pretty good at this point.
Enthrall can remove up to 7 enemies at a time from combat for a long-ass time, which is 7 enemies both attacking not you and drawing fire of enemies that aren't enthralled. On top of that, they essentially restock themselves when they run low, rarely ever requiring additional casts to keep a handful active.
Mesmer Skin, by a similar measure, has a similar effect by removing enemies from combat. Its only real flaws are the openings created by recasting, but otherwise it scales really well into higher level content as it both serves as a buffer against damage (preventing most oneshots) and keeps most enemies that have shot you once from shooting you again.
Reave is, frankly, amazing. The fact that it can one-shot or two-shot thralls is extremely useful - the fact that it also heals Revenant is essentially a side bonus. But on top of this it is one of the better mobility-based abilities in the game now that you can steer it while on the floor. If presenting an opening via Mesmer Skin is a serious concern due to there being more active enemies than you'd like, Reaving out of the area and around a corner is a solid strategy.
I enjoy Danse, but it's hardly the best ability. The fact that it can shred higher level enemies, even those which are armoured, is pretty nice, but that it needs to take a few hits to dish out the real damage is a bit of a drawback. Personally I find it most useful in lower level content for just crowd clearing.
Dude you are so damn right when I was in a extermination mission some guy with lvl 30 rev just wrecks everything so the next best option for me is do the sit emote and just watch
Kyuubi Hiro AND BEHOLD, REVS ONLY GOOD ABILITY. If they bothered to make the rest of his kit actually useful then we probably wouldn't see as many Revs that just use his Ult.

When I jumped into this game a month or so ago I wanted a frame that would fit me. And when I saw Garuda I thought: those claws look neat. I proceeded to look at the abilities and I thought: holy shit! Blood and gore stuff!(the alters is what caught my eye) and knowing the ins and outs of the ability I can rest knowing I didn't waste time collecting recourses

The one thing that I hate about her, is how her 2 heals. Having a 6m base range is bad enought, but getting x% health per second would be WAY BETTER than how it is now: getting x% health of your lost health per second. That way you get less and less health the closer you get to full health.
Garuda WANTS to have lower health (or at least less than max) because of her passive though, she only needs enough health to not get splatted, and %missing health does that.

For me she's a God when combined with quick thinking, energy mods and using that damage buff... I love using her and if there is a teammate with abilities for energy regeneration... well... she hits hard and won't die due to quick thinking... I'm in love with her :) I'm still trying cool combinations and seeing what comes for her

Garuda is my go-to if I just feel like going on a "murder wholesale" killing spree. I know this vid is about a year old at this point, but if DE gave her a recent rework, maybe do an updated video (?). I realized by watching this, I think either I've been playing her wrong or not modded her well enough for power strength, since I don't have access to those better mods yet. But this was a great vid, Trib. I still love my Nekros as my Edgy McEdge-lord.
