  • Here's a 3-step method to develop your 2-dribble pull up.
We start with repping out the footwork and understanding the timing of the gather. Then we rep out a 2 dribble pull up, again just focusing on our timing. Then we put it all together and start shooting game shots.

This was actually really helpful. I feel like a lot of times when you get a screen you forget to stop to pull up as opposed to forcing the drive

Do you know what makes you decide to stop and pull-up vs to drive?

@@halfwayspiral8460 that could be part of the reason. Simplify it even more to “when I come off a screen, do I have space to shoot?” If yes, shoot. If no, attack, drag or pass

at first I found shooting off the dribble going to the left is hard (im right handed), but after some practice, it feels much easier to get shots off going to the left. when i go right, i can't even shoot the ball straight and is fading and all that shit. i understand because same side pick up is supposed to be harder plus you have to turn your body mid air to get the right shoulder facing the rim, most player would fade a little bit. i guess i need to be more "squared" before going up to the air, instead of going up then try to turn in air, espcially with the very limited hang time i have.

You're right, you should try to do your preparation to square yourself before the shot so that you don't need to rotate in the air.
