It actually is possible if you start a 1P match and use MAME cheats to give control to a human player.
Tbh i just want an updated version of this, not all star battle, but exactly this. I dont care if it has the same look or if they update it to the best graphics ever seen, if we could have this but with more characters and take the majority of this, i would be happy, like imagine playing other final battle mashups, but better then ASB

There's a fangame we call JoJo mugen and it has characters starting from part one to Blackmore from part 7 (it also has heaven Dio from eyes of heaven)

when u do a complicated version of what is already the toughest thing to do as dio...as well as doing the 1f over literally anything else (yes ik debug jacket dio cant use any stand off lows)

The basic rekka combo, that part where he drop punches the enemy has the same sprite as high dio

It was a game from 1998 on the ps1, when far less people actually cared about jojo, i don’t think they would have really looked that much into it, and even if they did, there could have been space issues or other issues with not being able to fight the game onto one disc

I managed to do the loop but if i try to make it go faster s.5A doesn't even register, i have to make it a bit slower which AI can escape from, do you have a tip when trying to do the loop?
Uhh, if you're actually trying to play Jacket DIO then I recommend playing the normal DIO since he's way easier.

Jacket Dio isn't unlockable in any version. I just used debug mode to use him. Also, it's better to just play HFTF instead of the PS1 version since HFTF is pretty much better and can be played online on Fightcade.

Yes and no, shadow dio is obviously a playable character, but Jacket Dio is a character that only the computer can use as its a boss character, same as the vanilla ice cpu that you fight. But what they have done is made them as a playable character. So yeah
