“Your choice of rims w/ Firehawk tires is absolutely F’in SICK” 👊🏽
I had these on my Infiniti for a little over a year. 275-35-20Rear & 245-35-20Front. After about 8 months my only complaint was the road noise got really loud. Idk if its related to the above average tread wear but I ended up going with Pilot SuperSports after the indy500's and I've been really happy with them so far. Straight line grip seems the same but cornering the Michelin's give a little faster response on turn in. The Indy 500's are the best bang for your buck high performance summer tire.
Sick tire and rims are beautiful... just blew a run flat yesterday, 5 ×3 inch chunk missing.... replacement $$450!!!
Finally upsized tires on my ISF (stock is very undersized) & went with these. Good looking Q60!
I put these on my 2013 infiniti G37 sedan after getting upgraded slotted rotors and pads. After only having experience with all season tires, let me tell you these are incredible! Here in the Tucson heat these grip like crazy, I take twisties full blast with confidence. Love my car! 😎
Hell yeah man, glad to hear it !
Had these on my G35 and it was worth every penny 👌🏽
Theyll be my next set of tires. nice review!!
I have these on my 2018 Scatpack and they are really good tires. I dig the name change for the channel and that road looks very familiar 😂
🤣🤣🤣 yeah it does
Thanks for the great input. I have a '17 Q60 red sport currently on Mich pilot sport 4s. A fantastic tire, love everything about it except the cost. In Canada the PS 4S run about $1700 a set and the Indy 500 $1095, so a huge difference. The Mich is better, but not so sure they warrant the extra cost when I keep seeing all these great reviews on the Indy 500. I think you helped me make my mind up. Can put the savings into a beefier sway bar......
How do you like the 500’s?
Just bought these for my 996 Porsche 911. Great price and these have a softer ride and are much quieter than the Bridgestone Potenza Sports they replaced.
Nice !
Love mine I only got rears on mine because they were $220 ea +160 shipping to PR
Now we need you to hit the track and get that 10 second pass
Ordered a set of these for my mark 7.5 19’ GTI Autobahn in pure white (DSG) can’t wait to see how these handle.
I have these on my 2013 Genesis coupe 3.8. I flat out could not find a better bang for the buck tire. They are holding up well in terms of miles as well
How do they hook ? Thinking of getting a set for my genny
@@Biscayneboy I would consider them very good. Good enough where I purchased them again for my Gen as well as purchased them for my son on his Mazda 6
Hope you guys like this long intro lol.
By the way, most all season options out there can range 300-600 AA thread rating. Going back, I didn’t want to misinform anyone.
Thank you for watching!
Are these just as good as the Bridgestone potenza tires?
Depends which trim
This car is awesome man I love it! But question, what’s your exact rim/suspension setup because the fitment is good and it seems practical for everyday driving
I'm sold! Going to order same size for a Saturn Sky - 275/40R18 squared. Great review! Thanks.
You’re welcome !
I really hate the factory run flat tires too. But I'm going to keep them on until they are in need of replacement.
Thank you for your review. It was extremely comprehensive.
I am considering these next thanks to MWH. I have Pilot Sport 4S's now. They replaced my Michelin A/S 3+'s which I liked but were a bit noisy.
Yeah the a/s are def a bit noisy
Thanks for the information. I'm looking to put a set of these on my 2016 C300.
Awesome tires, getting 2nd set for our other car.
Awesome video bro. Will I be able to fit 275/40/19 or is that going to rub? Stock setup
I have these on my 2016 EB mustang. I love them.
The AS pirelli PZeros that came with the car where alright compared to the Indy 500s.
320 lb/ft of tq at 2500 rpms means you need good tires to get perfect traction. These delivered that!
Felt better driving in the rain, they are overall pretty smooth.
I already put 33k mi in them. Will be needing change in the next 3k miles.
I drive spiritedly not aggressively, rotated them every 4 - 5 k miles.
I will probably get them again.
Are there better out there? Probably.
But these are great for the money!
Probably but like you said, these are better for the money
What's your wheel width? Great review, thanks! I'm replacing the staggered setup on my F30 335i. I'm looking at 275/40 (like yours) on new 9.5x18 wheels for the rear. I'm trying to figure out the tread width/stretch on those Indy 500. I'm going with 245/45 on 8.5x18's in the front, btw. I like that meaty look and I don't mind the -2.66% speedo error plus I welcome the 8mm arch gap loss. Again, what's your wheel width? Please and thank you.
Great review. Thanks
Dude you made me want a q60 😳 I’m crunching numbers hoping to have it by November 🙏
Let me know if you’re leasing. I’m also a part time broker and can help 😁
Enthusiast POV I’m financing I have a solid down payment the monthly payment isn’t the issue it’s the insurance I just turned 19 and my insurance is 380 a month spotless record no accidents and I have a Toyota Corolla:(
@@EnthusiastPOV check your face book. I sent you a message.
Stinger is better.
@@EnthusiastPOV I'm kidding btw. To each his own. I crossed shopped Q50, 60, mustang GT, Scat Pack Challenger, BMW's 235,340,440i. Ended up with the Stinger and I love it. We have very similar power figures right now.
I have a dream....no really! My dream is to buy these tires someday. They have a really cool name, the tread looks awesome. Most of the reviews are positive and the price is affordable. If I only get 15,000 miles on them, I am ok with that. Longevity isn't everything.
Got some for my c1500 gmc, far better looking than my old good year wranglers
That tire review was so good and well done I wish you did car reviews I would subscribe to you but you don't have much as far as a playlist
Thanks for the comment and no worries. Glad it helped you out
Nice thanks for this! Btw do they run narrow, wide or true to size?
I have them on my 15 BRZ. They had a Sale on the Indy 500 I got them for 90.00 each with install. They look Sharp
Perfect timing I was just searching for some new tires, might just get only for my rear wheel and some cheap tires in the front 😂
Your fronts are how you steer... I think you want some front grip
The car wont feel or handle right like that, save some extra money and get the same tires all around
This can be a contender, I am in the market for a set of tires, great information thanks.
Anytime
I have the ps4 by Michelin and for almost 1200 bucks them tires are shit good on rain 🌧 but not aggressive on the dry summer weather . I’m thinking between these and some nitto ?🤔
Bought a set to go on wedssport sa-20r for my q50, just waiting for the temps to get above 40 outside lol
Hi Just wonder if you got the left and right two kind, or if this tire only have one kind. And one side will rotate reversed from another side, cause the thread pattern is not symmetrical in direction
that intro was its own video.
I have run Super Sport back in the day. I tried the PS4 and still didn't like them. Michelin sidewalls are flimsy. The Firestone sidewall is a little stiffer AND they grip about the same. They are good in the rain...maybe better than the Michelins. I was running RE71R which are great but they wear fast. I am very happy with the Indy 500 tires on my AWD
I live in Tx and the temperatures in Texas are extremely high 40• 45• I put the Indy 500 in my Elantra N 245/35/R19how do this tires work in the heat
I live in Canada and I'm getting a set of 245/40/R18 installed for $1.300.00 tomorrow. wish they were cheaper.
They have gone up in price recently :/
I’m gettin them!
Firestone Firehawk Indy 500
vs
BFGoodrich g-force sport Comp-2
Thinking about buying a set of 225/45/17 tires for my RSX
Either will do Nicely
The sport comp 2 is AA traction rating and the fire hawks are only A rated
I have them on my mk7
GTI PERFORMANCE PACKAGE LOVE THEM 200%
Hows the grip on launches and hard pulls?
@@MrTibblez yea not bad stops good
God. The traffic out there is horrendous!
It is
I have a 2018 charger scatpack and I have my stocks on but im upgrading soon would you recommend these tires for the rain? Because the stocks are horrible in the wet
They do pretty good in the rain
Hey bro what was the size of your wheels ?
Just put these on. It was about 1100 at Costco. 255 front 285 rear 19s
Do these run wide or narrow ?
I need some for my GT
I have AWD as well... do you have front and rear sway bars? if so, what brand? all the ones I see including Stillen are good for the rears only but the fronts won't fit
I have stocks still
The fronts from Stillen are only got Rwd.
Yea that’s what I thought as well.
Thanks for the reply man.. big fan of your channel. Keep up the good work
Would they be okay for snow? I bought them and didnt expect them to be so sporty 😅
No.
I know these are great summer tires, but can you drive the Q60 in light rain?
Drive this car in storms no issue lol
@@EnthusiastPOV Thanks! I don't drive my Q60 too hard and the run flat tires get me from point A to point B. However, I wouldn't getting some better tires.
I have around the same power with awd too, hows the grip off a launch
It was great with AWD
What do you think should be the first mod for a 2019 Q50 3.0t ? Help
Heat exchanger or tires honestly to actually enjoy the car
I was going to do 3 inch Downpipes and then get a full exhaust and a tune or what do you think to do first
@@purexmonkey8672 imo do dp then a tune so you dont have to revise again for dp tune. You can add exhuast whenever you want.
These are OK tires. great for most people, they wear good, look good and perform good but do not expect these to be competative. They simply don't have the grip to be a top notch autocross tire or drag strip tire. They hook okayish and thats about it.
Well said. Easy to get away with on an AWD car
how do they perfom in the rain ?
They did great for me!
Summer tire life 🙄
where are you?? nebraska?? lol good review
Texas now
My car is so loud i wouldn't notice the tire noise. LOL
so who should I buy these from?
Tire rack
Simpletire.com got my set for 630
They dont fit the car I would need 305 30 and they don't make it n 285 30
These or continental dws06?
Dws06 is an all season tire, different category
Rotate every other oil change
I'm not a betting man but if you put a set of drag radials you'd get into the 10's.
Quite possible on 100 octane and better SA
@@EnthusiastPOV I'd like to see yours against the Supra that the 1320 Channel is putting together.
Good tire but does not last long . As soon as tread get below half. If rear wheel drive you may spin out on rainy day. Laste abiut 15000 miles.
I’m on 20k miles still 8/32.
@@EnthusiastPOV you are rwd
Sorry AWD
15k miles is great
Tread rating, not thread.
Lol, thank you.
Itjust6
I love his channel
Bro flexing the fact it’s an AWD 😂
What the funk is a “thread” rating? It’s just a tire tread guy. Rofl tread rating. T R E A D
When English isn’t your first language 😂😂 leave me alone 🤣🤣
