That's debatable because for many people who opt for plastic surgery, they don't really care about what other people think, they just want to feel more comfortable and confident under their own skin. It's not always the society judging. I know many people who get compliments all the time and yet they still feel insecure.
@@jeryani9481 it’s not debatable when people make fun of you. Sorry I disagree. I was 15 looking at how much the procedure cost…everyday. Obsessed. All because people are jerks.
I never got made fun of for my nose or for how I look at all. However, I do want rhinoplasty because I feel I would look better to myself. And I see benefits to get it done for myself... glasses may not slip off as much, there are styles that I like that don't look right to me right now. There is nothing wrong with plastic surgery as long as the reason is healthy. Just read the response you gave the other person, they weren't attacking you. The way you responded was very argumentative and it doesn't look like you read what they wrote. Perhaps there is room for more improvement internally that you can consider.
Hahahahaha, I like the word "debut,". I am on shock at how plastic concepts of beauty have become. Authentic in all its forms is more important than becoming an assembly line replica. Positive energy gets you into your own beauty.
I have a kind of long face. In high school I don’t think I was very pretty but as I got older my face became more sculpted and I gained cheekbones (and I got heavier so it wasn’t weight loss) A lot of people told me I was very pretty. I’ve seen this in other women too. Now I’m old and wrinkled and with a saggy chin but being from Los Angeles am not a fan of botox, fillers or plastic surgery unless you’re desperately unhappy with something. My point is sometimes as we age our faces slim down. Oh and I hated my looks when I was young. Now I think I’m beautiful. I earned this face.
XO Pi, your patience has been rewarded with how you love the way you look now. Cosmetic surgery,in the hands of a doctor who is highly skilled, can be a game-changer for someone who needs a confidence boost. Sometimes, just giving yourself time to grow into your adult self can change your perspective and learn to play up/down a particular feature with the use of contouring and highlighting powders and applicators!!
Without totally diabolizing plastic surgery, her body, her choice but it remains a little sad that this multitude of operations tend to remove all her uniqueness/identity to tend towards a kind of generalised and bland beauty. Exactly the kind of face/beauty you find everywhere on social media. She was really pretty, she had some specific facial features that gave her character, her nose shaped her face very well. She's still beautiful, just more ordinary.
Exactly! Most celebrities we know and love have features that make them instantly recognizable: Julia Roberts' large mouth, Harrison Ford's crooked smile, etc. While plastic surgery can improve one's looks it shouldn't flatten everyone's face into the same (pretty, bland, non-specific) one.
A lot of the “ beautification” seem to involve erasing characteristics specific to one’s ethnicity. People all over the world are going to be wearing the same face.
Yes. They look very unnatural. All of her teeth are the same length, including the front ones. No variation which seldom happens naturally. It makes them look like huge chompers hanging down from her gums.
Considering how badly her mother aged despite the multiple face lifts, I would have thought that would be a huge warning to Ivanka, then there's the case of Kimberly Guilfoyle...big red flags to those who wish to mess with what nature gave them. Guilfoyle has aged a lot when you look at her in the past 20 years.
I guess people don’t care until it gets to them. Plastic surgery is only short term beauty that will fade fast. Natural is always better than artificial.
Kimberly was so pretty. All of that has made her look like a malformed plastic life size doll. Awful work. I keep thinking they can’t see - to be altered so far from anything people look like!
Based on what you say at 2:59, I wonder if she would have done better to get a chin implant first, before any rhinoplasty. Let it settle and THEN decide if you need anything done with your nose. Prominent noses can look so amazing if they suit your face, but her chin was so small that it might have thrown the harmony off.

There are a few things I hated from fashion as a teenager and in my 20's: low rise jeans, skinny eyebrows and pale lipgloss. I hated those trends and refused to wear them. But the gaunt look trend is huge no from me. I'm in my 40's and luckily I still look a bit young and I attribute that to having fuller cheeks. Why would these young actors, influencers and models permanently alter their faces so drastically? It ages them, it looks like they have no bounce or collagen to their cheeks, and it makes them all look alike. No one is unique. That is really sad imo.
I haven't had any job done, but my face naturally has almost no fat in my cheeks. I have intense cheek bones. This year I will be 39, but people tell me that I look somewhere between 21 and 32...
It's called Buccal fat removal. They get that patch of fat, way below the surface of your skin, taken out and once it's gone then u can't get it back. They think it makes them look high fashion but Idk that a trend like that is gonna look nice at the age of 60.
Sometimes, a feature throws off the whole face. The chin implant really balances her face nicely. Her nose was not big and it had a nice character. It's a shame people just don't stop. They remove all traces of ethnicity and uniqueness.
I'm 33 with no fillers or facial surgeries. I look younger than her when she was 28. I've been using Retin-A since I was 24. It can be expensive without insurance, but it does work and keep the face wrinkles free and youthful.
@@graymatsI thought they were saying that it’s not necessarily plastic surgery or Botox or filler that could account for Ivanka being wrinkle free. I do think it’s odd that when celebrities don’t have forehead wrinkles in their early 30s people attribute that to Botox. I don’t have forehead wrinkles and I never had Botox. But Ivanka doesn’t seem to move her face much so maybe she has.
I remember in the 1980's, ppl really didn't touch their face until their 50's or 60's. Why are so many young ppl in their 20's and 30's doing fillers and procedures they don't need
Because they're basically insecure and think that having surgery will make their lives better, which it rarely does. Loving yourself comes from within.
When I was younger I really wanted to get rid of my huge nose with even bigger bump... now I love how I look, distinguish and, with a little of make up, even classy. It definitely fit my face, cannot tell if a smaller nose would do the same... My suggestion is: Wait until you really deeply love yourself before going into plastic surgery, in this way you are gonna be realistically satisfied with the result
I have a huge nose, and I was only insecure about it at 12, when it seemed to grow before the rest of my face. At 13, my coke bottle glasses were my insecurity. Starting at 14, no more I securities... until age 50+, lol. Sag is worse than a big nose!
I’m 76 and the only wrinkles I have are laugh lines at corner of my mouth. People always ask why I don’t have wrinkles. I only use lipstick, no foundation and stay out of the sun.
I had a chin implant when I was in my late 30’s and wish I had done it when I was younger. It gave me more confidence. Even though it was subtle, my face looked more proportioned. I’m a teacher, and did it over Summer break and when I returned, I did get some stares from people who knew me, but no one ever questioned what I did.
I'm kind of off put by the way he's talking about "women over 31" and "women over 34" like they all look wrinkly and have thin lips. That's just not true. Lots of 31 yr old women look no older than they did at 27
No one from the few reviews I have read has mentioned the fact that her makeup is applied in such a way that it enhances her look. Plastic surgery and makeup can really make changes.
@@UberLummoxYes, you are correct. I was hoping she would be the rebel in that family, and stand up against ole’ dad. I’ve been sorely disappointed. In her defence though, it would damage a person a great deal when unaccepted by those who should cherish you without changes. It would have hollowed me out. SAD LIFE.
Her looks have changed drastically based on her November 9th court appearance. Her jaw was much more pronounced. I guess we expect it but not everyone can run and get work done to just feel better. Pays to be rich
I have a 37 year old friend who is obsessed with looking "young". A large part of her salary goes on fillers, Botox, .... she has even had fillers injected into her hands!
@@miaash3870 I've never heard of anyone getting fillers in their hands. Imagine how freaked out she'll be when she has 60 year old hands that bruise easily.
When I was younger I had a neighbor who was very cute and got attention wherever she went. One day I was in her apartment and saw a framed photo on her dresser. I thought it was her sister. Even though the girl was average looking I could see the similarities. I asked her about the photo and she told me it wasn't her sister, it was HER. I was stunned! She said when she graduated high school her parents gave her the nose job she'd always wanted. What a difference it made. She went from average looking to someone who turned heads. I couldn't believe a simple nose job could change someone's appearance that much, but all you have to do is look at Megan Fox to realize it's true.
I'd always wanted a nose job because it was uneven nostrils and curved to the right. I mentioned it to a surgeon I was seeing for another health issue and he told me about "chemical nose job," a tiny tiny bit of a super thick filler just in the tip and it straightened out the split cartilage. It's very subtle but changes how I look in each picture
@@Ckawauchi35 I agree completely. I have no issues with my nose but I have seen some of those rhinoplasty before and after pics and my god - the transformation from a single procedure 😱. I feel like it would change me from average not bad looking to stunning.
To Europeans, so many American celebrities have the same features; sure it’s attractive to look at but they all look the same. Nothing out of the ordinary or original.
Chin implants may improve one's profile, however they are the bane of anesthesia providers--when the patient doesn't admit to them. A chin that recedes is an indication of a difficult airway, which is important to know for airway management. If we don't know about the chin implant, which makes the chin appear to be a normal risk for anesthesia, the patient's life can be endangered due to unanticipated difficulty oxygenating and/or intubating during anesthesia. Please people, do what you want to your body, but PLEASE let us know what you've done. No judgement, just safety.
Enjoy! I didn't have any wrinkles until I hit 50 and started menopause. I'm 69 now and am naturally wrinkled but people still think I'm younger than my age. Life is an in interesting journey.
@@mangoteeth1290 Hydration, sunscreen & other smarter sun practices, stress management, enough sleep, good hygiene, and good nutrition are the pillars of a healthy appearance. Hydration includes drinking water and using at least a basic effective moisturizer. Once those are taken care of, topical treatments like vitamin c in the morning and retinol at night help a lot.
Though I didn't think she needed surgery bc she was pretty before, I think her plastic surgeon did an excellent job. I think it looks natural and she is gorgeous.
The narrow nose is definitely not a natural look. She’s slender and petite, but the boobs are from a 170 Lb. woman. We’re so used to plastic surgery that these features now look like the natural thing.
Are you being overly positive or nice? Her 18 year old picture is like a typical look woman. This is an example of plastic surgery done right. She is a beauty.
@@annat6249 maybe she wasn't a great beauty back then, but she was still very pretty and didn't need plastic surgery, imho. But her surgeon did an EXCELLENT job, and she looks STUNNING but also natural.

@Carly Bishop I so agree with you. She had a classic- beautiful nose & face … so Roman, so Greek goddess. I sculpt … her face ‘then’ was perfect …. Now … sorry but she has ‘herd-mentality’ beauty; generic beauty. I’ll probably get scolded for my opinion. 😏
@Sue Sue some age much better than others. Jane Seymour looks great and she is in her 70's. Lynda Carter looks great. Brad Pitt is getting up there and looks really good.
Also don't forget black dont crack. I just turned 46 in November '22. My profile picture is 18 months old, no photoshop. I dont have a wrinkle on my face. I also have 25 cats and dont leave the house...so there's that🤔👀🙄
I would love to hear your opinion of Tiffany Trump, pre and post wedding, Doctor. Major weight loss for sure, but she had had some major work done, I reckon at least buccal (sic) removal and heaps more. Any ideas?
I think she beautiful before her first surgery, she had an ethereal beauty that she doesn't now. I understand her having surgery, but sonetimes we grow into our features.
She definitely did an uplift at the edge of her eyes! Whatever it’s called, she has had her eyes done. She looked Eastern European when young but not anymore.
For the most part, I look at the picture of a person before they had any cosmetic procedures done and I think they look fine. I can't see why they want want plastic surgery. It is obvious that I am one of the few people who feels that way. In my personal opinion, the only reason to have plastic surgery procedures done is if you had an accident such as a dog bit, were in a major car accident or had a deformity that inhibits your quality of life.
The United States is the country with the highest number of plastic surgeons. From 1997 to 2021, the demand for cosmetic procedures has grown significantly: 1997 - 900 thousand surgical procedures were performed. 2021 - 1.56 million surgical procedures were performed.
Although the USA is ranked as having the highest number of plastic surgeons, it is important to also look at what countries rank as having the highest percentages of plastic surgeries done each year! You will find the results interesting.
@@jjsanti3529at is more meaningful - stating the number of plastic surgeons in a country doesn’t tell you much without considering that country’s rank in population. Nether is that useful though without stating it in terms of per capita.
Ivanka Trump was more beautiful before all this plastic surgery Really stunning features. I agree with you Plastic Surgery as a last resort. A lot of people who have these nose surgeries never breathe the way they used to. Love your program
I’m so sad that she did any surgery. I absolutely love how she looked before. That nose is so distinct and beautiful!!I really hate that she changed it. She had a classic beauty look of old times. Now she just looks like a modern streamlined version that everyone has. Not the effervescent beauty she was before!
Oh, dr Youn, 35 or 36 is not really the age when you have any noticeable wrinkles or real signs of aging. When I was 35 an up to 38 I looked pretty damn amazing, not a single wrinkle or sagging in sight! I also looked quite great until I was 42, when I started to see some signs of aging. And I never had any procedures. It bothers me when people say "omg she is 35 and has no wrinkles it must be botox!". Maybe, but it's still very young age. Having said that, Ivanka obviously had some work done, but it was done really well, tbh.
Perhaps you aged better than the average person. Dermatologists and plastic surgeons study the aging face and it’s true - around 35 that’s when you “see” volume loss, the depletion of collagen and elastic, sun spots/fine lines etc. It’s science. And I notice it on people as well around that age. They don’t have the seemingly sun damage free skin that a late teens or early 20s does. A 35 year old is not mistaken for a 20 year old which means you see signs of aging. If you age well, great, but Dr. Youn isn’t technically incorrect. A number of derms back him up.
Just because you experienced something most women don't, doesn't mean he's wrong. In fact, he is indeed correct. As a Plastic Surgeon, you obtain this knowledge and for a good reason. Thought I would pass that along
Hahaha then you aged very well. Trust me, aging is very different from person to person. I haven't had any new wrinkles or sagging yet weirdly, but due to working outdoors in my teens and being naturally very pale I had sun spots appear all over my nose bridge at 30 (dermatologist confirmed it was visible sun damage) and I started graying at 24 but I had no other signs of premature aging. Part of it is also due to Lupus. At the same time, there's a girl at my work has a 40 yr old forehead at 28. Same forehead as her dad. People still think I'm younger than I am and often think my co worker is older than she is. It all depends on genetics and how you take care of yourself.
I had wondered about her - how she could possibly look so good and so very young considering not just her dad and the age she has reached but having had "3 kids" come out of her too!!! That is one hell of an "impact" on the body which normally "shows" on the vast majority of women. And in this case she appears unnatural. But she has the vast amount of money to have these procedures and anything else she wants. Though I wonder how she will look in some years to come in the future. Her mother started out as attractive and very pretty, and then "time" crept in and took its toll.
@@Peace17292 Yeah, it's very likely to happen, but then it's not worth spending all of that money on those procedures if just to look much worse in the future. In this case better for a person to just take as good care of themselves as possible to maintain their looks and appearance naturally. Though I thought Ivana in her later years was somewhat excessive with her makeup and hairstyle. And the rest of it I can't fathom.
She looked so much better without implants, her body was proportionate. Now she ruined her natural breasts which would have looked way better as she aged. As for all of the facial work she had done I don't think Ivanka looks so great, way too plastic. She should have stopped after the firs nose job and chin implant. A great example of plastic surgery gone right is Christie Brinkley. She didn't do much until she was older, and she only enhanced her already great looks to stay youthful. Not messing with her eyes/nose/lips which (imho) made the outcome and overall look way better. There are plenty of good looking people who ruined their faces with unnecessary work. Could you do a Liz Hurley deep dive, she looks amazing.
Those of you who are saying, "Her body, her choice", ordinarily that would be true. However, I suspect her father had a LOT of input, especially at such a young age.
I wonder what she thinks about when she looks at her children, and sees the so called flaws she saw in her own face. Hopefully she won't find them unattractive, as she did for herself. They won't be inheriting her new face.
It’s a habit that’s learned and passed on by generations. I remember her mother Ivana was a plastic surgery fanatic in the 80s-90s because of her high profile (and competition). I see Ivanka’s little daughter and that was how she looked as a child. But this is a famous family in which women don’t much encourage natural aging.
When I lived in NY, I would often see young Ivanka, the face on the left. Her father invested top $$ for her "now" appearance She participated in fashion shows, and she didn't seem to be very confident or graceful on the runway. I think she's pretty.
I had to have my nose fixed it had been broken when I was twelve, lots of damage and I was unable to breathe properly….. they actually moved my nose to be even on both sides, I still have the bump and one side feels like there is no bone there….. but I’m happy with it
I'd love to see your insights on someone a lot of people think of as natural. Like Gwyneth Paltrow. And maybe an actress of color? Maybe not even American to see what the difference is between what they do in Asia vs the US (even though I can imagine a lot of them come to the US for this).
A lot of fools go to the islands too , because cheap is what you want when it comes to plastic surgery right ! Like I said before, fix between your ears first, then maybe you’ll realize that surgery isn’t the answer
@@kimdagnillo8246 It actually ís the answer for many. It allows these famous people who often rely on their looks to look younger for a longer time. It kinda goes wrong in certain cases, but it's better then becoming old-looking. That's the simple reality. And often people forget. Think about Bruce Springsteen. A lot of people think he didn't have any surgery, while in fact he changed his entire face.
She had extremely extremely thin hair all her life and if you’re a little bit older you might remember that so I guarantee you must of what she’s got right now is extensions to make it much thicker.
I always heard that 80's hair band rock stars got molar teeth pulled out to get those sunken cheeks. I used to slightly suck in my cheeks for photos when I was a teen. I like the look plastic surgery can offer, but the risks involved with facial nerves (like the buccal fat removal surgery) is so scary! No judgement for those who do it!! My only plastic surgery ended in an antibiotic-resistant staph infection that nearly killed me. I needed a whole other surgery to get rid of it!
IMO, a chin implant, where 'needed' makes the most difference to a person's appearance. It makes one look more powerful and assertive. Not fair, but there we go!
Now that I’m old, I think the best thing you can do to improve your appearance is smile! Marilyn Monroe said smiling was the best makeup, and now I agree! Smilingly is fast, cheap, and painless.
Eric has had quite a bit of plastic surgery, too, along w/dental work. Jr. may have had a chin implant, too. Then there's Melania who denies having any work done at all...🙄
I dont know why you are saying that it so remarkable that at 31 or 34 ones face would be different. My face really didn't noticeably change until I was 50.

attribute that to Botox. I don’t have forehead wrinkles and I never had Botox. But Ivanka doesn’t seem to move her face much so maybe she has.

Korea is worse
Although the USA is ranked as having the highest number of plastic surgeons, it is important to also look at what countries rank as having the highest percentages of plastic surgeries done each year! You will find the results interesting.
Procedure-wise, likely South Korea 🇰🇷 out numbers 🇺🇸.
@@MyWorldIsYourOyster agreed according to current data.
@@jjsanti3529at is more meaningful - stating the number of plastic surgeons in a country doesn’t tell you much without considering that country’s rank in population. Nether is that useful though without stating it in terms of per capita.

Same here, sunscreen and good skincare can prevent a lot of wrinkles! 40 and only have a few tiny ones between my eyebrows and mouth.
I have zero wrinkles and in way into my 40s. But I do see some sun damage though.
I believe the 17 y/o Ivanka’s face shape tended to more greatly resemble Tiffany’s face.
It wasn't time that crept in on her mother, it was a number of plastic surgeries that made her look grotesque.
Lots of botox
@@Peace17292
Yeah, it's very likely to happen, but then it's not worth spending all of that money on those procedures if just to look much worse in the future. In this case better for a person to just take as good care of themselves as possible to maintain their looks and appearance naturally.
Though I thought Ivana in her later years was somewhat excessive with her makeup and hairstyle. And the rest of it I can't fathom.
LOVE the kamp behind you
She looks fantastic.
I’m not saying that you Dr. are wrong but makeup plays a big role too ❤❤❤
Those of you who are saying, "Her body, her choice", ordinarily that would be true.
Her daughter looks like her before her surgery. Is she going to have her do surgery.
Seems they will get cosmetic surgeries as well …
