She’s from the small Faroe island and when she gives a performance virtually the whole island of about 600 show up. She has an angelic voice so unique , so mystical , so magical, so entrancing so hauntingly beautiful .
    Here’s a few more.
“Eivor trollabundin” ( first vid 5:44). ( from the Faroe Islands and trollabundin meaning ‘spellbound’ and all who watch this amazing.video in her native language will be spellbound.). Wish I was there outdoors sitting with the audience. Great tribal mystical vibes. Atmospheric mesmerizing hypnotic vocal prowess. The island’s backdrop scenery of mountains and rivers are breathtakingly beautiful and I wish I could have booked a plane and been there sitting among those lucky island fans.
    ~
“Eivor Palsdottir Wake me Up” ( 7: 11 duration) it’s in English and she kills it with celestial high notes and emotional impact. It’s about her longing to wake up from this earthy dream and reunite with a lover that left her and she longs to return
to a place lit by heartfelt memories
( and oh boy does her voice scale the ethereal heights). This vocalist has already become one of my favorite female vocalists. And I just discovered her less than a month ago. How on God’s earth did i ever overlook this world class vocalist. Watch the drummer go crazzzyyy.
    ~
Eivor “ free falling” ( the one you reacted to . If she performed it in America and there were 50,000 in attendance , all 50,000 would be screaming and yelling during and after the performance. Epic!!!
    “Evior sofar True love”
( 5:18 duration) she performed this several times but my recommended version is otherworldly
    ~
Excuse my excitement but whenever I discover an amazing vocalist I can’t control my emotions.
When I first discovered Morissette, Daryl Ong, Dimash, ( best pop-op vocalist in the world), Diana Ankudinova, , Park Hyoshin ( best ballad vocalist in the world) , Park Ki Young ( one of the best female vocalists.. as good as or better than So Hyang ), Forestella ( best crossover male vocal harmony group in the world). Lara Fabian...
    Now for one more Eivor
( the only one I know with a full orchestra :)
CZcams “Evior may it be “ ( Lord of the Rings) in a palatial setting in front of thousands with full orchestra and the Queen of Denmark!! ( at the end of this amazing performance the camera pans to the balcony and the Queen Of Denmark clapping. Incredible, mystical, celestial , will transport you to a higher realm.
    All love,
    All

      Neville Corkin :
      Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
The nice thing about her is she’s very humble , very approachable , and also not caring for fame and glory , not caring if there are thousands when she performs for the Queen Of Denmark or just a few hundred in LA or on her own Island.
The best unheralded solo vocalist or with band in the world. And she still performs.

I don't know if you were trying to exaggerate, but the population of the Faroe Islands is 50,000, not 600 xD

      @Jonse70 Před 3 lety +2

@@TheFrecklish - he was probably thinking about her village of Gøtu, where she comes from. But I'm only guessing.
The Faroe Islands are 18 Islands, for those of you might find it interesting. 17 of them are inhabited. Total population just over 50 thousands. We speak Faroese (related to Old Norse)
Most of us speak 4 or more languages. So communication is not a problem, if you want to visit ☺️

Eivor is fantastic, regardless of which of her songs you listen to. As for pronunciation of her name, I consulted several of the online aids to this, and the nearest pronunciation in English sounds like "Ivor Pals Daughter". Thank you for a great reaction.

I love Eivor! I pronounce it as "iivur" but since i speak spanish o just go by "aivur"
She's so underrated and wish she could be more known! I reccomend you other songs from her :
Trollabundin (Please the 2 minutes version since you can hear more clearly the rawness in her voice)
    Wake me up , live.
    True love, live version
Salt, live at Juke Train 218.
Rain, the stripped back version, it's just her and her ukelele.
    í Tokuni, the music video.
Thank you for giving her a chance!

FINALLY someone new reacting to this! Far too few reactions to this. She's quite exceptional. I think for an English speaker, you'd get close to the right pronoucniation with "A-vor". I don't speak faroese, but I do know someone called Eivor, and in Swedish, a related language to Faroese, that's how it would be pronounced. I just love this performance, but she can do much more too - here she is doing a song called "Trøllabundin": czcams.com/video/wfDJzmNXDuQ/video.html
There are many versions of that on CZcams, but the above is my favorite.

Just watched and listened to Evior perform a Billie Holiday song and beyond a shadow of a doubt the best rendition and Cover ever of Billie Holiday’s “ Gloomy Sunday” performed in English after dark in some studio or night club. Brought me to tears.
If not publicly, you must react privately by YouTubing “Eivor & Ginman after dark gloomy Sunday” ( click 5:11 Version posted by AlruneR.). No one as yet has reacted. Deserves a million watches.
All love in isolation from Miami Beach, Florida,
