Thank you silentshep for uploading this ...one of my favorite stories.I think the first part of it was cut out Shep talks about the women and some other shenanigans the Bumpeses were up to but might be too riske for the channel? I believe the story was also in Playboy as well as "In God We Trust " Thanks again 😉
I remember my aunt worked at a hotel that Gene Autry owned. One time she served him personally, and he never tipped her. One thing I knew about my aunt was that she never lied. Anyway I was surprised about that however I still like him, and figure he may have made a mistake or who knows what happened. Maybe he didn't feel it was necessary.
A true American classic. Hearing it read by Shep here was like walking into the garage and finding Boston playing “More Than a Feeling”, or reaching for the keys and having Carroll Shelby toss you a set saying, “Here, take mine.” Thank you for posting this! 🙏🙏🙏
The photo montage makes it even more hilarious. After decades of growing up sharing a property boundary with freaky hillbilly neighbors I am only too happy to endure three break-ins in Englewood.
The setup of the pages describing the ham, baking the ham and the old man's anticipation of before the dogs ate the ham is brilliant
Darned I'm laying in bed listening to this it's almost 2:00 am. This is becoming a nightly habit but it's great.

Many years had neighbors who were exactly like this...…..my kids and I still laugh and discuss our memories of them.

He changed the Ham to a Turkey for his movie 🎥
This is hilarious....Shephard is an awesome storyteller!
Warning: Don't let the Bumpus hounds ruin your holiday!
