Why does Red Sea TRADE allow you to build military buildings? The wagon's description literally says "Transforms into a Commerce Age economic building or Outpost." Also, we do have Aldi in America.
Another way to use those red sea is to take the trade line, if you had one before, you will have 3 tp and there is a card that make ethiopia get more resourses from there, age 1 card. From there you can pump gold or influence, and the influence shipments are really strong.
Ethiopia is a weird civ. It's not strong in most people's hands. I don't think there is one standard play with ethiopia, everyone plays it differently. This build tho, might just become standard for all Ethiopia players like for example France semi ff.
To be fair: ethiopia is very strong in maps Like mongolia with mich livestock. I know meloncola and plas with him sometime. Its very unfair in such maps
Yeah i still think the build in itself is really strong but it also has weaknesses there are many people and civs where i cant beat them with it because they know how to play against it USA best example if osteo would have gone for ff into skirm goon i would have had no chance because i get crazy outranged but i aggree that the build is currently too strong but i also think devs wont do shit against it because playrate+winrate is just way too bad
And also thanks for Showcasing the build i think more people need to know about the build because its so damn easy to Play and a perfect low-mid ELO build
throws away 6 shotels before even connecting, drag boxes 3x after breaking wall getting no contact onto units, heals high value targets with forward huge LOS mountain monastery and abun. If any other civ tried to rush and loses just ONE, not 2, masses, they type gg wb all. The ability to remass instantly with ez macro; all vills on food and training vills consistently, literally what are you supposed to do. I hate ethiopia, its OP, broken mechanically, game wise, and unit counters don't matter. it's actually the most brain dead strategy in the game
Why isn't anyone playing this civ? I don't play Ethiopia much but maybe I will start. I love the Hausa, xbows with 1.5s reload, barrack+stable combo buildings AND only two upgrade types for xbow+goon and huss+cuirassier. They are missing a non-influence musk, but for 250infulence, you get shadow tech musks which are food and gold with an area effect damage! (and they now come from the war camp like everything else) They have euro-shadow tech''d cannons, and you can pump heavy artillery from palaces (forts) like They also have some crazy cards and their monks fight. I made my middle mouse hotkey to select fully fattened livestock. The granary makes 4 or so vills able to hunt and not drift without micro at the upfront cost of time.
Ethiopia is bad in pretty much every other scenario. This is just a great map and good opponent civ that can't handle a huge rush. Ethiopia is pretty bad civ overall
I'm a ethopia main and tell you they nerfed it so many times its pretty unplayable. They are among the lowest winning rate civs in the game. They dont need anymore nerfs. Tis win by Ethiopia can be summed to a map highly favoring Ethiopia, and to the fact USA is not the best civ to protect against a rush.
i think you are overestimating this build. I tried it as well on ladder only being 1400 elo but people know whats coming with etheopia and an almost pure musk-rush loses to any well prepared opponent. Osteo afaik didnt prepare well enough. if he aged up with sharpshooters he might have been able to kite musks more effectivly. I played it 3 times on the ladder and everytime the opponents were completly rdy for it. When i played against usa i pushed him with like 50 units at min 7 but my opponent shipped outposts in age 2 and agedup with sharpshooters in age 3. Same goes for ports. All these civs get insane age 3 timings and you are essentially facing vet skirms with your basic age 2 musks. Imo it only catches unaware opponents and in the intro you even said you had to look out to find this game. I remeber a couple of streams back you casted etheopia as well and they lost. The one time you lost to this build happened to be with brits who dont get skirms in age 3 so it might have just been an unfavourable mutchup that time. Again i am not a pro but i dont see this build overperforming.
A lot of civs will struggle vs this, it's basically triple rax whilst most civs can only single rax at the start of the game. It is beatable for sure, but it is very powerful for little skill.
The first two waves felt like an Aztec rush, but the third one was just ridiculous. That might also be the top map for Ethiopia.
Its really only because of the map they were able to rush so hard. Ethiopia is not OP or even S tier.

Its usually only used for water based maps.
Ur a legend bro! Keep up the awesome content!! I appreciate you posting daily so much
I appreciate you watching :)

Yeah that sounds pretty strong actually!

Be fair. Usa has some unfair shut as well
I'm so trying this!!! Amazing
The fact this build just wrecked USA which is currently the strongest Civ overall in the game by far. Speaks volumes.
To be fair: ethiopia is very strong in maps Like mongolia with mich livestock. I know meloncola and plas with him sometime. Its very unfair in such maps
exactly its only because of this map that we see such a hard rush@@floriwe

It's like the movie Zulu dawn😂
tower defense gameplay. defending the waves of enemies

Haha someone else shares my bitterness to this build
Honestly, i dont even care if its broken or not i'm just happy that Osteo got karma for the brain tumors i got for his 2 hour game.
hjahhaha
Ive pushed up to 1900 laming an azziw rush
1900 what a beast!!! 💪💪💪
@@lionheart9015 only w aztec....other civs probably 1700 or so LOL
Why isn't anyone playing this civ? I don't play Ethiopia much but maybe I will start.

I knew it was a RuneScape reference! Haha nice
Holy shite is that future #1 player Meloncola?
The scary thing about this Ethiopia rush is that in the hands of someone like revnak or Kaiser, the game would be over within seconds… holy
lmao that micro was so bad
Mongolia makes the rush even better!!
Also the fact that USA went FF, this rush feasts on FFs.
lol wtf how is this in the game
Finally I found a reason to try out Ethiopia, I need to try this strat myself 😂
Ethiopia is bad in pretty much every other scenario. This is just a great map and good opponent civ that can't handle a huge rush. Ethiopia is pretty bad civ overall
meloncola on top
lol you said opti not osteo 0:26
oof
since so few players use this civilization, you want it to get a nerf WTF Lion .....
Tbh i never bought the african dlc... I know they were OP , but damn...
Oh nice, the +400 elo build
you are really going to make me play again ahah ! Best trash content creator ever !
tee hee
It's not op it's just great to see a different civ for a change
Ethiopia OP
Trash content creator is right this is OP
you're right that remass is lame, good map for Ethiopia with all the cows though
Ethioia needs to be nerf ASAF

Bro, I highly advise you try this build out if you think they are bad lol
@johnnada 100% agree with you.

bullshite rush. i think meloncola said she has a 100% winrate on mongolia.
the stupid musks shouldnt attack faster the closer they are to their targets
15 vill age up? he got 13 right?
Yeah, 13 vils and an Abun is 2 pop
Ethiopia is not S tier, and this rush would not be that good if on another map. And stop asking the devs to nerf african civs.
what a joke
