Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

Hey Jon! Dead sand fleas actually work great as bait because they aren't able to dig themselves into the sand and hide. Also you can stack multiple on the hook for the bigguns.
*6 mins into watching- I love the Cape! I fish there all over every summer for weeks! If you had asked me some questions I couldâve really helped you out a lot. Already, I wouldâve suggested you throw something different with a change in presentation, and I wouldnât have casted out straight like you first did. Fishing saltwater up north is a completely different ball game than freshwater down south! My favorite fishing is southern saltwater, without a question. I was born on the Cape in Barnstable. Dad is from Falmouth and Iâve fished that beach before lol. I used to do this all the time when I was younger. Iâd find and scrounge around for live bait, lures, terminal tackle, and build up my tackle box with all the lures, rigs, and terminal tackle I found. I found reels and rebuilt them, bait and filet knives... everything. I was real young and didnât have really any money to spend. Anyway, I caught big blues, stripers, flounder... on tackle I spent days searching and finding, and fixing. Now, if you want to get a little kid into fishing up there, all you need is a 2k or 3k reel on a 6â to 7.5â rod with some 20LB to 30LB mono, some double drop rigs, 2oz weights, and theyâre set. Tell them to go find bait. Or buy them some shrimp, clams, squid, blood worms... depends. Me? I found it all! Theyâll be fishing for Scup which are extremely plentiful up there, fun to reel in on a small medium light combo, and will bite all day. Good eating and all you need is some butter on a pan with salt on em. I actually just barely had the record scup caught from the shore on the Cape, believe it or not! So close! Iâd insert the pictures in the comments if I could, of the scup, as well as my 100% beach finds tackle box. Now, to watch the rest and see what else I can point outđ. ***if I donât comment afterwards, Iâll say one more thing- you NEED to get Four Seas Ice Cream after a good day of fishing.

You arenât fishing the best spots(no way Iâll tell you mwahaha). Regarding your tide comment, you have it somewhat correct. The key is fishing an hour before slack tide, to an hour after. Thatâs the money time zone. Slack high or slack low depends on where and when you are up there.

Look up more than fishing or fishermans life, they fish with sand crabs.. Usually if you find them in a certain spot... You wanna cast in that direction cause chances are if you can find them so can the fish that eat them... Here in cali we use them for big stripers and barred, striped, redtail perch... Some wallaye perch occasionally... You can probably get some type of rockfish with flukes
Try a fish-what-you-find in north Jersey. No shortage of perfectly good, abandoned fishing lures here. I've found multiple poppers, a jerkbait, a lipless crank, a million and one jig heads, some good plastics, a shaky head, a ned head, a good amount of spinners, a phoebe spoon, and loads of other stuff. And that's just lures. I've also found a crazy amount of hooks, split-shot, swivels, and bobbers. If you went out in a boat, you could probably even find some of my snagged lures in low-hanging trees, depending on where you go (if anyone wants three Gary Yamamoto cranks, a popper, a jerkbait, or some shitty homemade baits, launch your boat out on Lake Surprise in the Watchung Reservation and look in the trees).

You should fish the sandbars. Find a beach that the tide goes far out. Get there at low tide and fish the incoming tide. In Brewster were I live thereâs 2 beaches that go really far out. Breakwater and pains creek.

We use fleas all the time in Florida for Pompano. Kind doubt you have those in Maine. Have also caught various other fish on the fleas too but primary is pompano.
You can use the sand flees near rocky areas for taug scup and black sea bass.
Experiment with a head mount for your go pro. Would be much better for the viewer. You canât see the tip of the rod when itâs up

I know you're out of there now but when you go back stop at one of the many wonderful cape tackle shops and pick up a few actual saltwater plugs. A pencil, darter, needle, swim shads, metal lip. You may catch more. And I realize the point of this video is to only fish what you find. That plug you had stuck in your sleeping bag would work.
