The old guy is looking so much better after getting rid of all his bad teeth causing infections. He's much more "bouncy" as much as his hips allow, he's wagging his tail much more often, and his face & head fur has filled in and his coloring has improved.
💯🐕 I agree. Sherpa has vastly improved health wise. Thanks to Jamie who pushed for a second opinion on his 🪥🦷 teeth issues. Glad the dental veterinarian removed all the teeth that was causing issues initially and the others that would have added more issues later on.

Lost 18 but has 24 left, hoping with teeth brushing every day, he will keep those 24 healthy. Sherpa has perked up now, arthritis notwithstanding.
My own small breed’s teeth (just age 3 1/2) have been brushed since puppyhood well before the baby teeth fell out because wanted to start him daily as a good habit. He has white teeth all the way to molars. We have used the same enzymatic poultry flavor ever since, every single day. We also have small apple flavor dental chew (not daily). He plays with his favorite rubber ball with obvious texture, so that is added benefit.
If we had not brushed, his molars/premolars would have yellowed and his breath not the same.

@@abaialsa712 Sherpa had surgery. He had many teeth taken out, due to an infection.
He is on the mend now and is able to have regular food.
I know Sherpa appreciates the shelter on days like those. He wants to lie outside, and blast, it starts to pour. As he makes his way to the shed he is thinking, Thanks Dad for the wonderful place that I can lie out even when it rains. He is looking good!💜💜💜

I just love the way you are taking care of an elderly dog!! I will remember your videos when my dog gets to be an elderly dog. I want to be as kind and accepting as you are!! The old boy that no longer can go on long walks, who likes to have his privat time sleeping and resting, who dont interreact as much anymore... I want to love him just the way you love your dearest old boy.

Sherpa reminds us all to keep an eye on the dental status of our older friends and family. 🦷🪥Bad teeth can affect every part of us, from chronic infections to painful eating to weight loss and more.
Many have fear of dentists from outdated practices when they were young. But today's dental practice is to be sure there is no pain.
My mom 90 was amazed how they cared for her, when we finally got her in for work. ❤

We got our riding mower fixed and didn't cost a ton. So now my husband is happy. Don't have to keep running our son's push mower back and forth. And don't have to worry about getting in trouble with the village.
Now I just need to get the kids a washer and dryer. He has a set up in the basement with a clothesline and a huge fan. Also has some outside. But all they have for a washer is one that sits in the tub and only washes a few shirts at a time.
