  • After such good success on the Nyamindi the day before, we couldn't resist seeing what farther upstream had to offer. Not only was there some more great rapids, but some of the prettiest gorges. It was 100% worth the rally!

    Love your ability to describe the water and drops. Very educational and gives an insight Into your thought process. Stay safe Dane.

    Scenery wise, what a dream land! Difficulty wise, I think I ran it perfectly on my monitor. Not sure I'd do quite so well in person.
    I apologize for laughing about your mate slipping on the log and falling into that used washing machine detergent. He was a great sport about it.
    I love your videos. I'm sure you hear that all the time, so just put another notch on your GoPro if there's any room to put another on it.
    Can't wait for the next one, so keep on finding great rivers to send!

  • @kenaipeninsulawhitewater5650

    IMO your channel is the best whitewater channel on the tube... The next generation of paddlers that gets to grow up watching these videos are getting POV views and insight from one of the best paddlers in the world. Thanks Dane & crew! Maybe someday an Alaska expedition? Lots of worthy classics (Devil's Canyon, Turnback, et al) and miles and miles of possible first descents

    Been loving your videos. Especially the people. The boys you're with and the people you interact with. Sometimes there is a beautiful synchronicity during an adventure that's hard to describe (video captures it). Like Bren's "little swim." You gotta laugh at those moments...
    The wilderness shapes you into the man you want to be and less of the man you don't want to be.
    Thank you for sharing with us.
    It takes me back to some of the happiest moments of my life.
    Safe travels, mate.

    Is there no threat of crocodiles and the like on some of these rivers you are on? Hippos even? Genuinely curious 🤔

    • @danejacksonkayak
      @danejacksonkayak  Před 2 lety +3

      The rivers are too small and the water is too cold on these runs around MT Kenya for crocs and hippos. As you get farther away from the mountain and the rivers get flatter and wider there is more potential. But the locals often get rid of them anyways.
