It has been bugging the hell out of me, but now I realize that the band reminds me of New Birth and Tower of Power from the 1970s. The big sound that compliments and drives the rhythm home. Man, I have missed that sound, it is so reminiscent of another era when musicians had equal standing with vocalists.
