The Sinseers and The Altons playing in the same band is some mind blowing talent. Sounds of SoCal and sunsets. I grew up in Whittier and Long Beach so you know this my jams.

Joey is the gem of the Chicano music community. An amazing vocalist.
I would say Joe Bataan is from the 60s but he's definitely the modern day reminder no shade thrown it's just that status matters when someone put it down for decades verses a little bit.

In the mid to late 50s-early 60s, there the Poor Boys and The Midnighters....Dad was a Poor Boy.
I loved all cruise tunes. From Mejicano to Motown, with Texican thrown in for good measure.
And on Wednesday night, we all cruised Bob's Big Boy!

This band reminds me of the times when I was young when things were so simple and fresh and virtuous I miss those times
First we got the 80s revival spawning retrowave, chillwave, and vaporware rendering eargasm since the early 2010s. Now, could this be the inception of 50s revival? well, I certain hope so :)
There's been a decent amount of this style coming out for a while. Daptone Records promotes artists that're similar to this.

Fucking hell, how did I just hear this now for the first time. Hella good, I'm blown away by those smooth sounds and those silky voices.
I absolutely love the music of Joey Quinones, Thee Sinseers, Trish Toledo, Durand Jones and the Indications, The Altons, and Baby Bash I wish they were on my radio station, but we also had some badass oldies then too. I love jamming here in Beautiful San Francisco going down Mission Street, El Camino Real, all the lowrider cars back in the day were the bomb. Back in those days (the '70s) everyone got along with no shootings no fighting believe it or not just pure love because that is how Oldies made you feel calm, loving, and just grooving to the tunes with your man. I miss that. Then heading out to the beach for a barbeque, being proud of your lady, and showing off our Lowriders doing all kinds of moves. Time goes by fast so "live your best life" and listen and play Oldies. OG FROM THE BAY. May God Bless us all - Can't we all just get along?
There's a lot of unsung Chicano talent out there. Above Ave. Is a group from the Bay area with some great rap and r&b.
