Here's a link few know about. www.alaska.net/~hammy/hammytech/basement.html It has more Technoid songs. There's going to be more of them show up in my videos from now on.
I downloaded them. Thanks for sharing. Any way you still have the original recordings? It would be awesome to download the original recordings in flac. I bet they would sound better in their full dynamic spectrum fidelity range.
The TO8 Oscillator is capable of producing 3 specialized tones and are in effect optimized for C-3RX calibration: 6.3kHz (-30dB), 400Hz (-30dB), and 12.5kHz (-30dB). In fact I modeled the TO8 in software and it's based on the noted specs. My application was not intended for public release. Have you checked the Owner's Manual for calibration instructions?
Hi I have a C-3X and am looking for a source for friction pads as my deck starts to play but the tape gets loose right away. Have you had to replace or repair your friction pads?
Thank you Hammy. Your videos are ALWAYS entertaining and educational. The band Hammy and the Technoids may not be a super group anymore (LOL). Hammy then created a youtube channel called Hammy Technoid, and now Hammy goes by Hammy Tech! Now, since he has had followers for several years now. I think it would be proper if we proclaim ourselves as Hammy's Technoids! There it is final now. LMAO! Hammy Tech and his Technoids! However, for some reason my mind repeats back to me....Hammy and his Hemorrhoids! OMG! Hope you got a laugh out of that.
What was the level of your recorded tones for adjusting Bias/Rec. Level on C-3X? Can we speak about dBFS scale here? Or should the level be at some exact voltage or should I say milivoltage? Asking only because of the input sensitivity circuit for deck calibration could possibly go bang? :-) Or probably I should get service manual and read all about the procedure there. It seems pointless buying Teac's tone box when I have Mac/PC and all sort of tone and sweep generators. Please let me know. I would love to hear that detail from you! Thanks! ;-)
I am embarrassed to say this, but, I dug and dug for a good hour looking to see where I bought those handles, and I couldn't find where I had gotten them. At first I thought Amazon. No search I checked showed a good result. Then I thought maybe Parts Express, and nothing there. Then I thought, maybe Newark.. but no. I'm sorry. But maybe you can find some somewhere. The amazing thing is, that as I recall, when I first ordered these, all I did was put in a Google search for 3U rack handle and I got responses. Now I can't even find the ones I bought. Again .. Sorry
the fluctuation is a result of very poor speed stability. these decks were know for having terrible wow & flutter originally. That's why studios bought Revox B215 decks ! Even newer Teac's from the 90's sucked. V7000 and above things improved
Beautiful deck! I have a Teac A800 and it sounds fantastic too.👍🏻
I like that TOXIC BADA$$ song. I played it in a loop. Sounds great on my system.

Nice!
Hi I bought the C3 it is necessary to use a test tone for calibration?? Can’t you calibrate bias and rec directly to the recording kassette ?? Thanks

Can I plug my computer into the back and use a tone generator I downloaded. Thanks
