Lyrics
All right (can you feel me)
Come on
Can you fill me in
I was checking this girl next door
When her parents went out
She phoned said, "hey boy, come on right around"
So I knock at the door
You was standin' with a bottle of red wine, ready to pour
Dressed in long black satin and lace to the floor
So I went in, then we sat down start kissing, caressing
Told me about jacuzzi, sounded interesting
So we jumped right in
All calls diverted to answer phone
Please leave a message after the tone
I mean me and her parents were kind of cool
But they ran a fine line between me and you
We were just doing things young people in love do
Parents tryna find out what we were up to
Saying why were you creeping around late last night
Why did I see two shadows moving in your bedroom light
Now you're dressed in black
When I left you were dressed in white
Can you fill me in
Calls diverted to answer phone
Red wine bottle, half the contents gone
When I returned, Jacuzzi turned on
Can you fill me in
Whenever the coast was clear and she'd ask me to come out
I'd say, "hey girl, come on right around"
So she knocked at the door
I was standing with the keys in my hand to the 4x4
Jumped in my ride, checkin' that nobody saw
The club we went in
We got down bounced bounced to the rhythm
Saw it was early morning
Thought we'd better be leavin'
So I gave you my jacket for you to hold
Told you to wear it cause you felt cold
I mean me and her didn't mean to break the rules
I weren't trying to play your mum and dad for fools
We were just doing things young people in love do
Parents tryna find out what we were up to
Saying why can't you keep your promises no more
Say you'll be home by 12, come strolling in at 4
Out went the girls but leaving with the boy next door
Can you fill me in
Wearing a jacket, who's property
Said you'd been queuing for a taxi
But you left all your money on the TV
Can you fill me in - Hudba
June 2024 anyone

Forgot about this song... CZcams actually guided me here from usher - you remind me hahahaha
If you grew up on this kind of music, THEN YOUR CHILDHOOD WAS AWESOME!
Uk garage was my childhood
Yes I loved this song as a teenager
Yes indeed!
I was a teenager kissing ( and else 😅) for the first time around these times. This was the background with Dangelo brown sugar lmao
Right 👏🏻
I kinda wanna cry .. so nostalgic … cherishing those years so much ..
I remember when this song came out I was in elementary, I was 9 years old. I’m 32. I’m so grateful I got to experience such a beautiful era of music.
You and I Both…
I remember when this song came out I was in college, I was 19 years old…and it was the story of my life. I am 42 now and my youth and this song scares me…I’m blessed to not have children.

Born Sep '91 Young Black/Brown Boy from Jville Fl. Literally My first CD i bought outta target(my uncle bought it) I was in 5-6th Grade Nobody my age or in my neighborhood knew this man or songs. 7Days Was my favorite. I met my Father that same year & when I got in his car I swear to god HE had that Green CD Born to Do it! I felt so amazed and In LOve with my Father. My step brothers hated it!I LOved it. Fast forward to me in 10th Grade and see Jimmy from Degrassi With My favorite Rapper The GOAT Lil Wayne. Listened to Drakes 1st songs and mixtapes(TREY SONGS/DRAKE ERA) and I knew then Drake was a Fan OF BORN TO DO IT. & a maybe a year or months later I hear A song by drske and he mentions how he be on that CRAIG DAVID and ARTFUL DODGER type Flow/Vibe.
Really an era of wonderful musical experience
Craig David deserved so much more. Such an underrated bop
Hi there hows your day been hope your safe and well my dear peace be with you always ✌🕊🙏
Agreed girl
Whole album was a bop!
Should have taken criticism and satire like a man instead he thought he was too worthy! Ha ha got decked!

This song will maintain that fresh vibe. Never gets old, just timeless.
Anyone still listen to this track in 2024. Ok kids that are too young its good music on a cd

Before Drake there was Graig.
Craig David is probably the most underrated artist of all time. This is the business!
And for him to sing like he's an American and he's from England.
Great musian man.
Craig David is that guy that only shows up every few years, get a massive ass hit, then leave in obscurity again😂
Agree witcha 100%..I put my daughter up on this album ....she still listens to 7days....
Donell Jones and numerous others are in the same category, Leanne.
@@TheCoachRC lol
When I worked as an optician I used to play this ENTIRE cd over the speakers and never once had a complaint from customers. I had more people ask who was singing certain songs. Thank you Mr David for making my work days more joyul.
i would love to know you ma'am❤❤❤
❤❤❤ me too love his music ❤❤❤
That’s so funny you say that bc my 6 yr old daughter who’s not interested in music at all, begged me to play this song on repeat like 10 times in a row when she first heard it lol.
Summer of 2001 just graduated high school and met my husband and this was bumping everywhere . I miss those days. I feel like the world has changed so much. I use to be happy and have fun and now I feel like I gotta look back at things and reminisce to even smile.

It's 2023 and I'm still loving this song and this whole album. It's one of the best albums ever made and I had such a big crush on Craig David back then. 🙌🙌
R&B is dead nowadays so we have to appreciate these old school legends because we will never get this quality of music again 💯💯
This is considered old school? Wow 😅

R&B isn’t dead you just have to listen to R&B singers 😂
I was in a London club a few years ago and this came on, everyone went crazy, still such a great song 👌🏽
I remember when this came out...I was a "metalhead" never appreciated most rnb or anything...now I'm almost 35 and I think this song is phenomenal and I think Craig is a stand up guy because recently (in the last few years) he's been staying on the scene...that's a true artist...in it for the love.

Nothing beats 90's/early 00's music
Well said
This is a classic track from 1990s.
@Flaming Dragon Why did Craig David release this track in year 2000.
@Flaming Dragon came out in the 2000 album he released but its definitely 90s beat so around 1999 it would've been recorded
60’s, 70’s or 70’s, 80’s easily beats it
Who else is bumping in 2024
Never left
Oh yeah
Of course ❤
My mom passed away 4 years ago and she absolutely loved Craig David and this type of music as a whole so anytime I listen to it or hear it playing it brings back so many memories of my youth and my mom literally blasting this CD everywhere we went! Still such a gem after so many years
Being young is the best thing there is. If you're in your early 20s, enjoy every moment, satisfy every curiosity, live fully and intensely. It will be worth it. This masterpiece brings so many great memories... Enjoy youngsters.
Isn't it sad how youth is wasted on the young lol..miss my early 20s 😭 but hey we had our time
I agree
Sad thought dear person you can be like this forever don’t limit yourself for that era
I needed this. Thank you !!!
This should be your view for your whole life lol my 30s about to be more lit
I like how music videos back then we're actually accurate with the lyrics and the meaning of the song.
Compass Amour me too!!!
I like your intelligent and introspective response.
People knew the culture and were engaged in it back then... also, less online time and more actual dating and events where people actually meet.
I was at the point where he was on the window ledge and singing 'why were you creeping' when I read your comment..make best sense
Absolutely! Back then was the peak!
Listened to this song when I was 8 and knew it was a hit then, I’m now 31 and can still feel the same feeling as soon as it comes on, this is a classic 🔥🔥
Haha I'm 32 and I was a kid. I loved it too. His voice is absolutely lovely. I always remember this shaggy Afroman songs. The 2000s was quite they time to be alive and young haha.

At 13 I just thought this was a good song and he was a good artist ... at 33 I realize this guy was light years ahead musically ... and a lot of artists have used his style
I hear a lot of Drake and Travis Scott
There was an MTV vote in like 2009 for the best albums of all time , and Born To Do It was voted #2 behind Thriller !
This album is the album of a whole generation 30-35 y.o now! Banging great music; 7 days; fill me in; rendez vous and walking away where straight up bangers! Memories!
100% this holy shit. I'm 33 too and you're spitting straight facts

Yes sir... A classic... Very underrated!!!
I came after Tori Kelly tell that her song “missin u” is a sample of “fill me in” ❤️

Craig is a lyrical genius. The whole album is a bop
The early 2000s Urban Outfitter vibes of this video is making a comeback in 2023.
We failed Craig... Imagine how huge this song would be if Usher or Justin T sang this song....

This is how I know Craig David was criminally underrated… I’m born in ‘93 and grew up on literally every R&B artist you could think of but I didn’t hear this song or 7 Days until THIS YEAR! I feel like I missed out on pure greatness!!! Song was wayyyy ahead of it’s time!!
Man, I feel bad for people who didnt hear him in his day and even more for those who dont know Craig David at all.
I genuinely feel bad for you, but better late than never! Also heyyy fellow 93 baby!

That’s mad! 7 days was always on! Feel bad for you haha
Thank you Craig for sharing your talent with the world! I imagine you like a shooting star who took things to the next level. Smooth and silky voice that is heaven to the ears! In the scene walking past the building walls are you wearing a black mesh shirt? In any event, your talent is difficult to walk past by! Your talent is like a fountain of creativity that does not cease.

Craig David is MAGIC. ALL of his tracks, till today in 2021 he still is Brilliant. I think for the most part, because he wasn't born in the US - he's been very underrated. If it was JT or Usher singing these songs it would Sky Rocket! No sweat! Every humbled man will reach unimaginable goals. Craig is such a fantastic man with such brilliant authentic character.
