Hi all, fairly new to VTOL VR using oculus 2 ‘ I have a problem during the tutorials, basic weapons scenario: set it all up ok, but I am unable to cycle through the different weapons using the red button on the joystick ? It almost seems as if my virtual thumb doesn’t reach it ? The thumb controller works when I’m moving the targeting pod around but not when I’m cycling through the weapons? I have the weapons master armed on and cover up,and all the MDS screens on , the only way to change them is to disable them in the weapons screen and just have one weapon selected ? Help please
When you're moving the NAV screen ~3:30 is that default movement when it's SOI? I can't get this function with my index controllers, super jealous after seeing that. Anyways cheers for the helpful videos!
How did you enable the SOI speed switching control on the thumbstick? Also had no idea that the GPS list would automatically scroll through the list of targets if you hold the trigger when firing! Quick tip I've figured out about the voice comms not working; always make sure that VTOL VR is Fullscreen on your monitor. VTOL uses windows speech recognition for the comm system and if you're not fullscreen in VTOL, WSR doesn't know which program to translate your speech to.
You have to set the bombs to auto in the equipment screen to scroll through the target list, but it’s definitely a useful tip. The SOI switching was always on the speed control thumb stick for me. Thanks for the tip with the voice commands. I’m sure that’s going to help a lot of people out
nice video and all but why did u use the gbu 12's like that? it looked like u were using the flight path marker as a ccip pipper. u can just drop em like the gbu 38's and activate your laser. (mark turned on on your left mfcd)
Mark doesn’t affect the laser, it’s just an infra red beam that you can see through night vision to “mark” a target for your wingmen visually. By flying over the target it increases accuracy as the bomb has to make fewer adjustments. Not sure if it’s programmed like that in VTOL but it how I learned in DCS

Both the 12’s and the 38’s have the two circle pipper so the closer the drop marker is to the centre of the circles the better the chance of hit, but LGBs are usually meant for moving targets and GPS bombs for stationary. If you drop an LGB too far off a moving target it can lose momentum through constant readjustment and fall short even though it was within the pipper circles
How do you record vtol vr gameplay? Whenever I try to use game bar it doesn’t work because it says it cant record the windows Home Screen or something.
I would probably need to remake the video to get proper chapters and time stamps, so maybe sometime soon. There were a few weapons I missed and the Fox 1 have also been added so adding time stamps is another good reason to update it

@@TheFerretsWheels sorted it now mate ! I was trying to press the virtual red button on the top of the joystick, instead of the B button on the hand controller! Doh
If you have weapons on the pylons and the master arm is on then it shouldn’t show no arm. Could be a glitch. Try verifying the steam files and see if that fixes it
@@TheFerretsWheelsit was actually working i just thought that when i put the master arm switch cover back down it would still be on like how the engine covers do but it turns out you had to keep the cover up😂.
@@Merchantofwar oh okay, yeah i also like both. But i saw that theres many people hating on one or the other and i thought that theres some kind of rivalry and reason behind that that i dont know of 😅
@@baadlyrics8705 ig its just prefrence, like in technichally the f45 is worse, but because of its stealth its about equal imo. some people think the f45 is better cause its steaalth, and some people ignore the stealth and just look at which one can turn better

Great video! I noticed, when you fired the laser guided bombs, that you forgot to turn in the marker in the tgp
Mark isn’t used for laser guided bombs, it just marks your target for team mates. If you mark a target and put on NVGs you will see the beam

Yes it’s default. It’s the same input as slewing the TGP, Radar, ARAD etc

That's odd. It should be the top button on the right controller. bottom button should be microphone

When I put the weapons and go in I turn on three master weapons and everything but it still says that there is no arm
If you have weapons on the pylons and the master arm is on then it shouldn’t show no arm. Could be a glitch. Try verifying the steam files and see if that fixes it
