Michio Kaku - Is the Universe Fine-Tuned for Consciousness?

  • That the universe is fine-tuned for life, with multiple physical laws required to be within small ranges, is generally accepted. But can we then make the additional argument that the universe is somehow required to contain consciousness? Such a conclusion may not follow. But the key question is this: is consciousness wholly contingent or somehow special?

I liked the part where Michio Kaku said we are special. That the Universe knew we were coming! Its actually quite mind blowing.
For, what point is there to create a work of Art ( The Universe) and not have anything that can appreciate it??
With regards to there being multiple universes, an idea concocted just to do away with some kind of "Creator," let me say this:
This would be an extremely wastful endevour! Its like saying that I am a Baker, I make loaves of bread but every day I produce 1000s that I deliberately burn to a crisp or 1000s that I don't even cook at all, but only one good loaf comes out of the lot!!
Our concept of a Creator is at fault! The Creator is not some kind of being or entity that exists in a single place. The Creator is more akin to some kind of Force that brought all this into existence and is sustaining it! Light for example is the only thing that we know that transcends the whole Universe, it links every part of the Universe, with every other part. But in the future we may discover that there is something else that transcends all of space and all of time, that exists outside of it all but at the same time, connects all of space and time.

There is sort of evidence to believe in multiverse and a lot of the top smart people in the world believe there are multiverse. Mainly because their equations have to support a multiverse theory. You can't make statements like "the universe knew we were coming." No you don't, and there is no theory to back that up. We are special in the regard we are lucky to be here, but it took us 13.7 Billion years to be this lucky. So are we really special? Not really. 13.7 billion years is a long time and eventually we would be here in that time. If you study, Physics, Math, Anthropology, Chemistry, and Biology, you will see that this is all dumb luck that humans exist. We are a consequence of the universe expanding, that's it.

This conversation needs a definition of consciousness. The interview is built on the premise that consciousness is just a function of life. Consciousness is the paradox of an entity that is separate while it contains the properties of other things. In short it is what it is not. The paradox of consciousness is not being an attribute of a carbon-based life form. Perhaps non-carbon-based also have consciousness by knowing that which they are not. This is the mystery of consciousness, and by many accounts, more specifically, quantum physics, inanimate matter (to us) may be conscious as well.

Vedanta is the very science of consciousness at both human and cosmic levels. It recognises consciousness as the ultimate reality and affirms its presence in all existence.
All this- whatever exists in this changing universe, is pervaded by consciousness"
      --Isa Upanishad .5000-BCE
The ancient Vedic rishis in all their wisdom said as early as 8000 BC , that our universe is not woven from matter but consciousness . (They never patent there knowledge there own name ) There are connections between quantum mechanics & consciousness .
Consciousness is the intelligence, the organising principle behind the arising of form. The quantum field or pure consciousness is influenced by intention and desire.
All atoms in the entire universe are capable of mind reading and communicating with other atoms. There is a consciousness in every molecule of matter.
As per quantum physics things do not exist in its physical form, unless they are observed by a conscious observer.
In every experiment when an observer expected energy to behave as a particle, it did so. When he thought it would probably be wave-like, it was. And when observers believed it might start out as one form and end up as another, it did so.
This means ,nothing actually exists in its physical form until observed by someone, was adopted by the group as one of the concepts. You created them by your expectations and your thoughts of what should be. In every situation in your life, including the wealth or lack of it you choose to attract to you.
Biology is a quantum process. All the processes in the body including cell communications are triggered by quantum fluctuations, and all higher brain functions and consciousness also appear at the quantum level.
On the subatomic level-mind is over matter. The brain and DNA is governed by the laws of quantum physics rather than the laws of biology or neuro physiology.
THE COSMOS IS THE PLAYGROUND OF MAYA.. FROM MICROCOSM TO MACROCOSM..
Bhagavad Gita is all about BEING IN THE MOMENT.
You cannot change your past, you cannot survive without water, you cannot change natures principle. The only solution is to accept things as they are.
Life is a combination or physical, intellectual and spiritual aspects. Without spiritual development , man is without love or positive emotions ( affection, care, respect, sympathy ) .
Karma is the result of your actions. If you do something good, you will get good tings in return and if you do bad things, you will get likewise in return.
Karma or the actions that you do in the present life is passed on to the next life. But fate is not passed on to the next life.
Dharma is when we are walking the path of our soul's purpose. When we are walking our path we are out of karma. We are no longer creating cause and effect. We are in flow with the universe, with our spirit. Our soul is line with the Divine.
'Manu-Smiriti'- 5000BC describes the code for leading a disciplined way of life.
Patience, Pardon, Suppression of will, Stay away from Theft, Purity, Control of desires, Wisdom, Knowledge, Truth, Controlling Anger. These 10 qualities are considered as main characteristics of the Dharma.
The whole of material creation is conscious. Our consciousness creates our reality. What our consciousness can conceive , it can also create.
Human beings are conscious. They can see themselves in the mirror and see colours, while an animal cannot.
To a Vedantic every part of this universe is dynamic, it is vibrating, it is listening and can respond according to ones KARMA, It can be by action and can be purely thought. The universe listens to our action as well as thought and gives in return what exactly we want either knowingly or unknowingly, weather it is bad or good.
Science is trying to understand the universe ‘out there’ and Vedanta addressed the universe ‘inside you’”
Schrödinger, in speaking of a universe in which particles are represented by wave functions, said, “The unity and continuity of Vedanta are reflected in the unity and continuity of wave mechanics. This is entirely consistent with the Vedanta concept of All in One.”
The multiplicity is only apparent. This is the doctrine of the Upanishads. And not of the Upanishads only. The mystical experience of the union with God regularly leads to this view, unless strong prejudices stand in the West. There is no kind of framework within which we can find consciousness in the plural; this is simply something we construct because of the temporal plurality of individuals, but it is a false construction… The only solution to this conflict insofar as any is available to us at all lies in the ancient wisdom of the Upanishad. - Erwin Schrödinger

So, according to Michio Kaku, there are two ways to explain the fine-tuned nature of the universe: Either it was designed that way (which implies the existence of a designer) or it's only one of a greater number, perhaps infinite number of universes, each with it's own properties and laws, in a larger cosmos.
Kaku says he leans toward the latter - the idea of the "multiverse." Why? Is there any actual scientific basis for such a thing, or is it simply because the alternative (a creator) is unthinkable to a physicist such as Kaku?
The significance of the fined-tuned nature of the universe is that it eliminates the element of random chance from our cosmology. Given that we live in a universe whose existence is so statistically improbable as to be virtually impossible, the idea that this is all just a random cosmic accident is inconceivable.
What the multiverse does is reintroduce the element of random chance into our cosmology, so that the odds of a universe that supports the development of intelligent life don't seem so daunting. It's an interesting idea, but is it science? Is this really the stuff of peer-reviewed scientific journals, or is it the stuff of comic books?
It seems to me, in order to qualify as science, one needs to do more than just imagine a solution, which is really all that the multiverse idea consists of. The multiverse cannot be expressed as a mathematical equation to see if there's any internal logic to it. It can't be subjected to any scientific methodologies of observation, experimentation, and analysis. Why? Because everything available to be observed, experimented on, or analyzed - as well as the means, methods, and people necessary to conduct them - is limited to that which exist in "our universe."
That means that, as fun and interesting as the multiverse notion is (it may even be true, for all we know), it explains no natural phenomena, it is predictive of nothing, and it is inherently unquantifiable, unobservable, and untestable. In other words, it's pure fantasy.
So essentially, Kaku believes something that can never be proven simply to avoid believing in something that has never been disproven.

- Erwin Schrödinger

you are a soul and you have a body "

As I interpret what you're saying, you didn't mean consciousness you mean intelligence. Let me try this: Intelligence doesn't require consciousness anymore than consciousness requires a brain. You going along with that? You need intelligence because intelligence answers questions. Logus answers ultimate questions for you and gives ultimate context to your life. Consciousness is even in worms, I suppose but in humans it becomes self-aware consciousness (small 'l' logos) I guess my deduction is that any small 'l' logos implies that there is an Ur-Logos, since logos cannot be shown to arise 'materialistically'; it is in Kant's term 'a priori'. What is amazing about what Jesus teaches is that the small spark within me and you and in every person, is of a piece with the divine Logos outside of any consideration of time or space. the Bible delivers this true Light's revelation---which reaches across to limited human minds---otherwise of our own accord and by or own 'lights' (i.e. intellect) we could never in a billion years suss out what God really is---truth had to be revealedled. Self is not separate from the field, however, to navigate the field, distinctions are made. Time is ultimately just the measurement of how long things in relationship to other things last. Otherwise, within the infinite field of consciousness, there is no space or time, and paradoxically, there is no end to space and time. This knowledge has no utility other than to reassure the ego that consciousness doesn't end with death. Once the last chapter of our autobiography ends, a new book with blank pages is born. "I"ness is universal, with each expression as person, rock, tree, butterfly, tardigrade, moon, planet, star, etc.. writing its own unique story of how it came to be, what it did and how it will end.
This knowledge is either experiential as with enlightenment, intuitive,, speculative or for a multitude of reasons, doesn't arise at all. Maybe you weren't listening, but his explanation is precisely the reason why we can't just say "everything points to a designer". It's like winning the lottery. The odds of a particual person winning is astronomical... but the odds that somebody wins is pretty much a guarantee. So that individual might feel like he/she won because of supernatural forces since the odds were so low. But when we take it into context, we can see it was simply a numbers game. Enough combinations were drawn that eventually somebody won. Likewise, it may be the case that enough combinations of "universes" were drawn to produce one that was conducive to life.

    • @intriguing2966
      @intriguing2966 Před 3 lety +2

@@GrowMasterGeneral no because the odds are zero.
Because multiverse takes the question back a step. Where did all the universes come from? If you keep going back and back all what you do is you say there is an infinite regression. An infinite regression means an infinite amount of events should happen so that we get to this point. Which means we would never get here because we need an infinite amount of time to get here .. which means there will be no existence.
Number two, the existence of nature laws is another question than the universe existence.
Existence of matter and energy doesn't mean the existence of a pattern of behavior for matter and energy. So the laws are not explained by simply stating that there has been multiple universes.
Finally, the claim that all these constants align together in a logical fashion , also that our logical thinking is able to predict those patterns by a matter of chance, is absurd. It explains nothing and it is not a mechanism, it is a merely pushing the question away. Very irrational
If u choose randomness as an explanation then you must provide a mechanism for what actually happened, rather than ridiculous claims.

@@GrowMasterGeneral My apologies, didn't have much time to reply to your answer recently.
So I understand from that , that you accept my argument, but you think it also denies God?
      Okay I will answer that.
God isn't defined by infinities at all.
In my world view, God is the designer of spatio-temporal existence (space time) , and what supports this notion is that time itself is changed by the other forces in nature, gravity per say. Therefore, it logically follows that time itself is a law that is conditioned within the universe.
Now, let me follow that with the structure of the concept of God, the rational structure.
First of all, we have laws in nature (including time) , these laws are the patterns of matter and energy behavior, such as( gravity, electromagnetism, atomic structure, etc) .
There is no reason at all the universe should follow a pattern, also there is no reason the pattern should be maintained, meaning: if today E=mc2, why is it the same tomorrow? Why is the universe mathematically fixed and sustained?
Another question follows, why does our rational thinking (the logical laws in our mind) match the laws of the universe in a way that makes ys able to predict these laws?
If I put my hands on a lighter and then receive a pain stimulus, my brain will associate a logical response: lighter burns the skin, therefore a prediction would be: if you do it again you will get hurt. Now the prediction will only be true if the universe works with the same logical laws in the brain. This example demonstrates the law of causality (everything has a reason), which is an innate belief in all of our brains.
So the question here is, why do we have laws? Why do they match the laws of nature? And why do nature have laws?

      Holy crap!
Look where you are getting this info from, they're anti-Islam missionaries. Why the hell will they let you know the truth?
Quran has been preserved as such as it was reveled on the last prophet.
The verse in your comment does not say that the sun sets in in a murky pool; rather, it says that 𝘿𝙝𝙪𝙡-𝙌𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙮𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙛 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙢𝙪𝙧𝙠𝙮 𝙥𝙤𝙤𝙡 (this is what appeared to his eyes).
Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."
      - Al-Kahf 18:86
Had it been setting in a murky pool, then Dhul-Qarnayn should have seen it rise out of the murky pool; rather, he sees it rising on people who were not shielded from it, on the other side of the planet as the verses say he had traveled across:
      حَتَّىٰ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ لَّمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُم مِّن دُونِهَا سِتْرًا
Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had not made against it any shield.
      - Al-Kahf 18:90
Furthermore, while there are direct verses with no use of literary devices, as in An-Nisa' 4:17: "So believe in Allah and His messengers," one can find the use of literary devices as in As-Saffat 37:65: "Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils."
Qur'an uses multiple literary devices from similes to metaphors to other devices that are commonly employed in the Arabic language (التصوير ـ التمثيل ـ الجدل ـ القصص), as in this example:
      وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍ بِقِيعَةٍ يَحْسَبُهُ الظَّمْآنُ مَاءً حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَهُ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْئًا وَوَجَدَ اللَّهَ عِندَهُ فَوَفَّاهُ حِسَابَهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allah before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account.
      - An-Nur 24:39
Obviously this verse is using imagery to describe what happens to disbelievers on the day of judgment about what they perceive to be their good deeds.
Finally, the various tafsirs do not support the view that sun actually sets in a murky water; rather, this is how it was perceived from the view of Dhul-Qarnayn as he saw the sun sink in the lake or pool.
      View in tafsirs
Here are quotes from different major tafsirs of this verse by authors over a number of centuries, and they point to the same concept. Translations are mostly my own, so treat with care.
      Ibn Kathir
And His saying: "he found it setting in a spring of Hami'ah" meaning, he saw the sun as if it were setting in the ocean. This is something which everyone who goes to the coast can see: it looks as if the sun is setting into the sea, but it never leaves its path in the fourth orbit, in which it is fixed.
      Al-Qurtubi
Al-Qaffal said: "What is intended is not that he stopped when reaching the actual setting point and eastwards where it actually rises, and he reached its orbit and touched it - for the sun orbits around the earth without touching it, and it is larger in size to get into a well on Earth. It is way larger. What is intended that he reach the end of urban area to the west and east. He then found it in his own eyes as if it were setting in a murky pool, as we see on flat smooth land as if the sun is setting into Earth.
      Al-Sa'adi
Then Allah gave him the means to reach the sunset point, where he saw the sun in his eyes as if it were setting in a murky pool; murky being black. This is common for anyone who can see the sun set in the horizon; one sees set into the water, albeit it is very high up.
      Al-Muyassar
حتى إذا وصل ذو القرنين إلى مغرب الشمس وجدها في مرأى العين كأنها تغرب في عين حارة ذات طين أسود
Until Dhul-Qarnayn arrived at the point of sunset, and he found it in his eyes as if it is setting in murky pool with black mud.
      Al-Jalalayn
حتى إذا بلغ مغرب الشمس موضع غروبها وجدها تغرب في عين حمئة ذات حمأة وهي الطين الأسود وغروبها في العين في رأي العين وإلا فهي أعظم من الدنيا
Until he reach the place of sunset where he found it setting in a murky pool, which is black mud, and it setting in a pool is in the eyes of the beholder, but it is greater in size than Earth.

With that delay it is easy to introduce errors. Then there was a power battle between fractions in actual Syria and Saudi Arabia. The latter won and rewrote the entire Quran. First Mecca was further north on Syria/Turkey and then the winning fraction copied everything with Mecca and move it to actual Mecca. Neither romans nor persians mentions actual Mecca in their maps when first Mohammed was alive .No God would support a prophet that kisses small boys thongs or steal their sons wife. Those surahs were invented by ignorant human beings. Do your research. In the area of where first Mohammed had his first battle and took over a city everyone were christian. There is a big chance that first Mohammed in the Quran was a Christian. No real God would write down hate in a holy scripture ether. A piece from a new book titled: Saved by the Light of the Buddha Within...
Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the identity of what some scientists are now referring to as the unified field of consciousnesses. In other words, it’s the essence of all existence and non-existence - the ultimate creative force behind planets, stars, nebulae, people, animals, trees, fish, birds, and all phenomena, manifest or latent. All matter and intelligence are simply waves or ripples manifesting to and from this core source. Consciousness (enlightenment) is itself the actual creator of everything that exists now, ever existed in the past, or will exist in the future - right down to the minutest particles of dust - each being an individual ripple or wave.
The big difference between chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo and most other conventional prayers is that instead of depending on a ‘middleman’ to connect us to our state of inner enlightenment, we’re able to do it ourselves. That’s because chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo allows us to tap directly into our enlightened state by way of this self-produced sound vibration. ‘Who or What Is God?’ If we compare the concept of God being a separate entity that is forever watching down on us, to the teachings of Nichiren, it makes more sense to me that the true omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence of what most people perceive to be God, is the fantastic state of enlightenment that exists within each of us. Some say that God is an entity that’s beyond physical matter - I think that the vast amount of information continuously being conveyed via electromagnetic waves in today’s world gives us proof of how an invisible state of God could indeed exist.
For example, it’s now widely known that specific data relayed by way of electromagnetic waves has the potential to help bring about extraordinary and powerful effects - including an instant global awareness of something or a mass emotional reaction. It’s also common knowledge that these invisible waves can easily be used to detonate a bomb or to enable NASA to control the movements of a robot as far away as the Moon or Mars - none of which is possible without a receiver to decode the information that’s being transmitted. Without the receiver, the data would remain impotent. In a very similar way, we need to have our own ‘receiver’ switched on so that we can activate a clear and precise understanding of our own life, all other life and what everything else in existence is.
Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day helps us to achieve this because it allows us to reach the core of our enlightenment and keep it switched on. That’s because Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the identity of what scientists now refer to as the unified field of consciousnesses. To break it down - Myoho represents the Law of manifestation and latency (Nature) and consists of two alternating states. For example, the state of Myo is where everything in life that’s not obvious to us exists - including our stored memories when we’re not thinking about them - our hidden potential and inner emotions whenever they’re dormant - our desires, our fears, our wisdom, happiness, karma - and more importantly, our enlightenment.
The other state, ho, is where everything in Life exists whenever it becomes evident to us, such as when a thought pops up from within our memory - whenever we experience or express our emotions - or whenever a good or bad cause manifests as an effect from our karma. When anything becomes apparent, it merely means that it’s come out of the state of Myo (dormancy/latency) and into a state of ho (manifestation). It’s the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness, being awake or asleep, or knowing and not knowing.
The second law - Renge - Ren meaning cause and ge meaning effect, governs and controls the functions of Myoho - these two laws of Myoho and Renge, not only function together simultaneously but also underlie all spiritual and physical existence.
The final and third part of the tri-combination - Kyo, is the Law which allows Myoho to integrate with Renge - or vice versa. It’s the great, invisible thread of energy that fuses and connects all Life and matter - as well as the past, present and future. It’s also sometimes termed the Universal Law of Communication - perhaps it could even be compared with the string theory that many scientists now suspect exists.
Just as the cells in our body, our thoughts, feelings and everything else is continually fluctuating within us - all that exists in the world around us and beyond is also in a constant state of flux - constantly controlled by these three fundamental laws. In fact, more things are going back and forth between the two states of Myo and ho in a single moment of time than it would ever be possible to calculate or describe. And it doesn’t matter how big or small, famous or trivial anything or anyone may appear to be, everything that’s ever existed in the past, exists now or will exist in the future, exists only because of the workings of the Laws ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ - the basis of the four fundamental forces, and if they didn’t function, neither we nor anything else could go on existing. That’s because all forms of existence, including the seasons, day, night, birth, death and so on, are moving forward in an ongoing flow of continuation - rhythmically reverting back and forth between the two fundamental states of Myo and ho in absolute accordance with Renge - and by way of Kyo. Even stars are dying and being reborn under the workings of what the combination ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ represents. Nam, or Namu - which mean the same thing, are vibrational passwords or keys that allow us to reach deep into our life and fuse with or become one with ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’.
On a more personal level, nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence, it’s the causes that we’ve made in our past, or are presently making, that determine how these laws function uniquely in each of our lives - as well as the environment from moment to moment. By facing east, in harmony with the direction that the Earth is spinning, and chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for a minimum of, let’s say, ten minutes daily to start with, any of us can experience actual proof of its positive effects in our lives - even if it only makes us feel good on the inside, there will be a definite positive effect. That’s because we’re able to pierce through the thickest layers of our karma and activate our inherent Buddha Nature (our enlightened state). By so doing, we’re then able to bring forth the wisdom and good fortune that we need to challenge, overcome and change our adverse circumstances - turn them into positive ones - or manifest and gain even greater fulfilment in our daily lives from our accumulated good karma. This also allows us to bring forth the wisdom that can free us from the ignorance and stupidity that’s preventing us from accepting and being proud of the person that we indeed are - regardless of our race, colour, gender or sexuality. We’re also able to see and understand our circumstances and the environment far more clearly, as well as attract and connect with any needed external beneficial forces and situations. As I’ve already mentioned, everything is subject to the law of Cause and Effect - the ‘actual-proof-strength’ resulting from chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo always depends on our determination, sincerity and dedication.
For example, the levels of difference could be compared to making a sound on a piano, creating a melody, or producing a great song, and so on. Something else that’s very important to always respect and acknowledge is that the Law (or if you prefer God) is in everyone and everything.
NB: There are frightening and disturbing sounds, and there are tranquil and relaxing sounds. It’s the emotional result from any noise or sound that can trigger off a mood or even instantly change one. When chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day, we are producing a sound vibration that’s the password to our true inner-self - this soon becomes apparent when you start reassessing your views on various things - such as your fears and desires etc. The best way to get the desired result when chanting is not to view things in a conventional way - rather than reaching out to an external source, we need to reach into our own lives and bring our needs and desires to fruition from within - including the good fortune and strength to achieve any help that we may need. Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo also reaches out externally and draws us towards, or draws towards us, what we need to make us happy from our environment. For example, it helps us to be in the right place at the right time - to make better choices and decisions and so forth. We need to think of it as a seed within us that we’re watering and bringing sunshine to for it to grow, blossom and bring forth fruit or flowers. It’s also important to understand that everything we need in life - including the answer to every question and the potential to achieve every dream - already exists within us.
To understand the meaning of Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo even more, I sincerely recommend that you read Tina Turner's new book: Happiness Becomes You.

- Erwin Schrödinger

you are a soul and you have a body "

@@AmitKumar-qz2us if consciousness is not plural why do you say animals cannot see themselves in the mirror? There are different types of consciousness and we are all individuals. We are persons, all different. God is a person. Father Son holy Spirit, three persons one essence and undivided. Christ is the culmination of all religions. God became man so man can become like God. After the judgment God will give us all a new name, our true identity.
God the son became incarnate. In doing so he deified our flesh. He roes from the dead so man will also be raised from the dead.
We are a soul and we are a body. The body participates with the soul in good deeds or wickedness, and together will receive in the life to come torments or blessedness.
God is love and does not punish anyone by sending them to hell. In the end God will fill all places. There will be no place anyone can hide from God. God and man will be together. man will see God, there will be no more guessing. For those who love God and received his love through Christ, this will be a blessed Joy but for those who hated Him this will be a burning lake of fire. Forever.

There are many crucial factors about the Earth which are essential to support life. One major and critical factor is the nature of our sun. The interior core temperature is some 15 million degrees kelvin, due to nuclear fusion, yet the temperature of the light and heat is lowered to only 6,000 degrees, so that by the time it gets here it is just right to sustain life. So the sun's composition and external shell are vital to this process. What I would like to know is whether other stars mimic the composition of our sun, and whether there has been astronomical work done on this.
Consciousness is not rooted in the physical nor is it local. I could point to other websites where this is demonstrated, but your website does not allow links to other websites.

    The universe is not"fine-tuned".
Rather, our sciencce toolkit has evolved to give us the ability to finely measure nearly everything in nature.
What we call the laws of nature/physics etc. are because that"s the way the universe is. The universe came first; then came our ability to measure it in ever finer detail. (This point was not addressed in this video.)
There"s nothing special about our world. It is a product of this universe, and of the nature of this universe. This may not be the only universe, but since we know a lot about this universe and its properties, that one would think that if there are any others, then they would likely have similar properties.
I greatly respect Michio Kaku and Closer To Truth, but was surprised that neither of them brought up this point.

Multiverse theory and the "anthropic principle" (or "Goldilocks principle"), explained in four words
Tamino: “If the universe wasn’t created by an intelligent agent, why isn’t the world-its physical constants and its history-unsuitable for our existence rather than suitable, given that statistically, unsuitable is so much more likely? After all, if the ratios of the fundamental constants to each other were even slightly different from what they are, then matter as we know it, atoms and molecules, wouldn't exist at all. And even if the physical constants were right, the history-- the spontaneous formation of the first living cell from inanimate precursor molecules-- is so unlikely that you could wait longer than the age of the universe without seeing it happen. It cannot be just random coincidence that the universe is correctly tuned to create us and that some time in the past an origin-of-life event occurred. How could something so improbable have happened, without an intelligent, purposeful Creator? Of the many possible universes (possible worlds, can it really be coincidence that ours is the actual one?
