I am so grateful I found your channel. I had to get myself and my son out of a bad situation, which meant moving to a new place and cutting ties with very toxic people. It's helped me feel less alone to be able to watch your videos and laugh. But the biggest impact your videos have had involves my faith. After some very dark years, I had completely lost my belief in God. On a particularly bad day, I put on one of your videos and you started talking about the power of prayer. I figured what the hell, I might as well give it a shot. So I did. It was immediately like my world went from black and white to color. I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life because once I got my belief back I was able to introduce my child to the Lord. Thank you so much for giving us the most valuable gift we will ever recieve.

It's really awful and so inaccurate I wind up hating it. I can't listen.
If you knew how hard the King was working to get Andrew out of Royal Lodge, it's a real issue, but the King is determined. Andrew cannot afford it anymore and the King isn't prepared to pay. He did promise his mother he'd make sure Andrew wasn't out on the street. Plus he hasn't been charged, found guilty or convicted. Had it not been his mother's jubilee year, he'd have had his day in court. He's probably glad he didn't, but. The Queen may have paid the settlement privately, I can't remember. What screwed him was that interview with Emily Maitliss. Can you believe he thought it had gone well. I think he realised when his mother asked him to put his titles into abeyance. I will say for him, he didn't argue. Apparently they both cried, she took everything except the Garter thing which I think is for life. He didn't need to be asked twice. But Scobie knows full well how hard the King has been trying to get Andrew to get his arse out of royal Lodge. He's using one room watching TV in the dark, and riding with a bit of golf occasionally. Hard times guys, hard times. He has the audacity to get them to bring the horses up to him, then he goes riding and they have to take the horses back. It's a six minute walk. He's so arrogant!
The King hasn't been grumpy lately. That stuff over the pen, he'd lost his Dad, then his Mum, suddenly become king, at that point he'd barely slept in five days, was organising the funeral and checking it all, flitting around the country in a way that made no sense to his ordered mind and a waste of resources too, he was on the edge of grief, not being allowed to fall into it as he was working 24/7, at 73, and had Harry and Megan driving him insane about the princely tittles for the kids, along other things. He was entitled to a bit of grump if you ask me. He can be emotional, such as at Trooping the Colour this year. I think bring treated for cancer and working that hard suits him, but it'll get to you in the end. He's not generally a grumpy person, but he had his moments, as did his parents.
If you're trying to sort out a chapter of that awful book, I don't know if I can stick with it, and I rarely start a book or a review of one and quit, but it's truly dreadful, and you make any book interesting. But if you're falling asleep in the sun by the pool (it's raining fit the third day here in London) and the book goes missing...God might be trying to say it's not worth reading something so scant with truth. By an author who can't write.
It won't end the monarchy, it's ended Scobie, don't let it end you.
My daughter is dyslexic and has ADD, though we now think she's on the autistic scale. My brother was so severely dyslexic, he had remedial help twice a day, to the point my dyscalculia and ADD was missed as I helped teach him, Mum left school at 14, the war changed a lot for East Londoners. She could paint and draw superbly, but was clearly dyslexic, school didn't care so I taught her too until she could take over my brother.
Luckily I got to send my daughter to private school, my Dad kindly paid, with such small classes and a great understanding of dyslexia, she pretty much got over that part of it as the ADD grew worse.
If home teaching is working out for you, do it, it will really help your son and you'll pick up skills that could qualify you as an SEN teacher, which might suit you better at the time or pay more for fewer hours. When all is up in the air, trust the Lord, he has you and has it all figured out.
I hour out turns out to be the best year from now, a house with a pool sounds great, despite my living on a barge on the canal. Enjoy, I hope you'll feel happier and more settled now it's coming together.
Don't read Endgame unless you really want to. Life's too short.
Mr Biden definitely hasn't been well for some time, it's not fair on him.

I’m not surprised or bothered that the RF allows Andrew to hang around. He’s been stripped of his patronages and he’s no longer a working royal. But he’s still a member of the family. Let’s recall, he was not charged with a crime and the civil suit was settled out of court. Some say he settled to save his ailing mother the heartache of a salacious trial in her final years. If that’s true+ he’s actually behaved more honorably by her than Harry did.
+I don’t know if it’s true or not; I’m just saying it might not be as black and white as we think. If the RF wants him around in a private capacity, who am I to argue?

I think Andrew is probably a bit sleazy behind the scenes but I also think he took one for the team by settling and didn’t have a chance to clear his name against the charges given the accuser already had to admit she’d recalled things “wrongly “ about another guy who took it to court. Thing is with Andrew, despite his shady personal life he did genuinely go to war for our country, non of the bunker Harry stuff, he was right in the midst of it flying decoy planes to make the enemy try and target them instead so the ships could get through. I feel based on that he should be allowed to remain quietly in the background in his house he’s ploughed £25 million into.

I was sorry to hear that your youngest son has been diagnosed with dyslexia, but there are so many resources available today to help him learn and thrive at school and in independent study at home. I am sure with a teacher for a Mom, he will be just fine. I attended public schools in Philadelphia from second to twelfth grade back in the 70's and early 80's, and I had some wonderfully dedicated teachers. I heard that my high school Spanish teacher had won Teacher of the Year shortly after I had graduated. I feel for teachers today who are still dedicated to their profession, but also must assume the role of social worker and disciplinarian for their students, regularly expense school supplies from their own wallets and endure an endless worry about potential school shootings and effectively preparing their students during active shooter drills. I wish kids today could experience the idyllic childhoods some of us had back in the "good 'ole days" when the only things kids worried about was what to expect on the next test and having fun with their classmates doing things like playing sports, not texting each other and dealing with on-line bullying via social media. I laughed when you started complaining about Endgame...I agree, that book is complete trash. I just started listening to "Ask Not" on Audible. Although it is not read by the author, Maureen Callaghan, the book is full of juicy stories about the Kennedy men and how horribly they treated the women in their lives. I really think you will enjoy reviewing the book, and you may even attract many more subscribers in the process. Hope you are staying cool in this freaking heatwave. Enjoy the pool!

Thanks for your life update. So glad you are in a better place. Finding a good pubic school is so difficult and stressful. Trying to move to a good school district and then the city/county changes the district lines and just like that they are in a crappie school. Not everybody can afford a private school especially now. Frustration isn't even the word for it. I agree totally with you on the insantiy that is going on politically !

I worked on the payground at recess, volunteered in the library, ran the parent group, attended conferences etc. My children got a decent public education suplemented by active parent participation. they all got through college

Granted, I live in northern Virginia rather than DC, but I find it hard to think of a city containing the Smithsonian, the Kennedy Center, the Lincoln Memorial, the Mint, Catholic University, George Washington University, etc., etc. as "Satan's Armpit.". You can certainly criticize the political scene or some of the schools without putting down what is, after all, one of the great American cities, particularly with respect to architecture and the arts.

    • @elfgrammy
      @elfgrammy Před měsícem

@@detectivefiction3701 I agree with you except calling D.c. a great American. Politics on both sides have ruined what should be the best American city.

Well, poor presidents or shady politicians hardly have the power to remove the John Singer Sargent or Canaletto paintings from the National Gallery of Art, nor do they have any effect on the various performing arts institutions in DC or on its Classical architecture. All major American cities have their problems, but objectively speaking they are still great--i.e., culturally and historically important--cities.

Intellectually, I knew I was spelling everything wrong, but I would hurry up and finish my work, so I could go back to erase and correct misspelled words. One teacher finally caught on and wouldn't let me "check" my work when I finished. Boom, Diagnosed. Algebra is gonna be struggle for your son, with LETTERS and NUMBERS mixed together! So many tears on that one. Then I became a national news editor! HAHAHA. Boy could I tell stories on that one! Can't wait for Kennedy book.

Hi Cheere! I've been following you from the beginning and find you absolutely entertaining. I LOVE people with a sense of humor and find myself laughing at your comments and facial expressions so often! I'm 65 and a grandmother now but I listen to you and your current predicament and my heart goes out to you. I understand you not wishing to become a political channel and agree...but, your present living situation with young children that have to go through the education system in the "armpit of the nation" just makes me feel terrible for you. My mom's favorite saying to us all was "this to shall pass" and it will for you too. Hopefully your hubby gets a really great job opportunity back in the sane part of America and you and your family can carry on happily. Until then bring the kids to the Smithsonian, Holocaust Museum, Library of Congress and all the historical sites in VA. If you haven't been yet a really gorgeous trip is to Harpers Ferry the town and the National Park. Great hiking trails. Another place not too far for you is Gettysburg if you haven't been. Being a history person you should go when they have their Civil War reenactments usually around July 4th. Anyway, enjoy your time visiting all these places while you can. I love all these places but loathe driving down from MA to the "armpit" although MA is it's own armpit. Fortunately for me I happen to live in the one and only sane alcove in the state LMAO!

I was at first not knowing where you were going, thought you were rumbling but then found that I agreed with every single thing you said. Especially the politics. People are so scared to speak the truth on that subject but at some point, you have to take your stand, even if it means losing followers.
I like you a lot and I think its not a waste of my time to listen to you unlike so many other channels these days. 100% agreed with everything you said about Scobie and yes, don't finish the book. What for? We already know what Meghan thinks and is. (and this was her book under the guise of another writer). I will always always let you complete your thoughts, tangent, opinion, whatever you are expressing, though it might take you a while to get there, plus, why on earth are you doing your make up whilst you talk? Its actually amusing now that I think about it. Anyway, you are one of the few people who I can listen to out there without dreading that you'll turn evil or coward or hypocritical.

I thought my granddaughter might have dyslexia at 5. She just could not learn to read and was writing her letters backwards and she is a very bright child. Her teacher in the 2nd grade suggested she might have a tracking eye problem. After seeing an ophthalmologist, they thought this was her problem. After 3 months of eye training at his office and suggestions to help her track words, she improved 100%.

Cheere, I had a very similar experience at a school I worked at last year. The teachers were mostly nice, but it was a disorganized place, the students were chaos, the parents were white trash, and my daughter wasn't getting a good education at her school. My husband and I also figured out that we can't keep it together at home when we're both working full-time. I don't have the stamina for that. I only stayed a short while after I figured out which way the wind was blowing and resolved to homeschool the girls (at the time a rising kindergartner and second grader) starting last fall. Teachers have been leaving in droves where we live and it's so sad. I used to love teaching. The good news is my kids are getting a good education now and I'm joining forces with some other teachers- turned-homeschoolers this fall to be involved in a new co-op that I think is going to be really good.

I must have never touched my eyes at all during the day, because the liner never smeared (and they didn’t have no-smear eyeliner way back then). Now, I rub my eyes several times a day (but gently), dislodge “sleepers” with my fingernail, put in eye drops for comfort…I would have to train myself hard not to touch my eyes.
