Best line of the episode: “Thank it for being there for you and put it back on the shelf” 😂
Great show, as always.
🤣 - at least one person is paying attention. Thanks, Jim!
Great show! I love using my library as a reference library. Researching different versions of tricks is so much fun. Thanks, Jeff!
Don’s Magic and Books rocks!
Appreciate the kind words, Scott! It is *so much fun*!!
Great episode. Cafe & Archive have been so useful when it comes where & what to buy :)
They *can* be. Sometimes it's just a dog fight 😄
really enjoyed this episode !! Many thanks !!
Thanks, Steve!
Great video, Jeff! My favorite part of building a magic library is that it affords me the ability to pull other works that may be referenced in the credits of an effect or method that I’m studying. I think that cross referencing is where some of the real gold is found.
Absolutely, Doug!
Great research methodology Jeff. Glad that mentioned Denis Behr’s Archive as well as its limitations. It doesn’t seem to be very well known. Your method will definitely help those who ask, “what’s the best….?” answer the question for themselves and make new discoveries and connections. 😃
I love using it myself!
It's a wonderful upload. I am always doing this. Sometimes l get so caught up l loose track of the day.👍😊👍😊👍
It's a great feeling, isn't it?? Thanks for taking time to watch and comment, Robert!
Absolutely amazing video. So glad I saw this. Time for me to get to researching!
Thank you for your comment! Enjoy the journey 👏
Dr. Bill and Ran Pink ;) Thanks, as always, for the never ending stream of excellent videos.
I've heard of Dr. Bill's tear - where is that published? Appreciate the kind words, too!
Great video. I practiced center tears the othee day until my fingers hurt. Went through a whole sticky note pad
Thanks, Russ. Hope all that practice pays off!! I'm confident it will
Don's carrying The Hermit Vol 2 for $30 less than publisher! Picked them + 3 other titles and Don got it to me really fast. Highly recommend.
To clarify: The price I have it for is the correct price. $120 Canadien is equal to $90 US.
Glad to hear you got a great deal and even better customer service!
Cool stuff
Thanks, Jerry!
Great video as always! It would be much better if you would ditch the garnet shirt!
🤣🤣🤣
Business card center tear should be done instead with a peek wallet.
Depends on the scenario, but yes, I use a Jaks Wallet when I go this route. What's your go-to?
Where did you get those fun magic poster book markers?
You can get them straight from Don! donsmagicandbooks.com/search?q=masters+of+magic&options%5Bprefix%5D=last
Oh great wise one of the Libro Magica what is your recommendation?
I have an opportunity to purchase The Artful Mentalism of Bob Cassidy for close to $250. But I heard a rumor, I think from you, that it may go back into print this year. Should I strike while the iron is hot and purchase this book or should I wait for it to go back into print? I almost spent a ton of money on Barry Richardson's three Hermetic Press books. I'm glad that I didn't, because they went back into print only a few weeks after I found them for hundreds of dollars less. I'm glad I dodged that bullet. I don't want to miss out on an opportunity, but I also don't want to spend a lot of money only to find out if I just waited a few more weeks, I could have saved myself a couple hundred bucks.
🤣 I would definitely wait. I have it on pretty good authority that they will be reprinted in the near future. Definitely not worth taking out a second (or third!) mortgage
@@EruditeMagic Thank you! I will hold out. But in the meantime. I think I'll take advantage of a rare opportunity to purchase Ted Leslie's Para Miracles.
@Dr.Tinkerpaw definitely recommend Paramiracles!
what are the best ones for a buisness card you have found ? is doug dyments good or bruce bernstein? which others?
Yes, they are both good and worth checking out
Jeff, did you ever try out for Fool Us. ???
I haven't, but I thought about it. You?
@EruditeMagic Yes l submitted videos last season, they looked but did not get picked. But l am trying again 🙏🙏
Good luck!
is mind myth and magick worth picking up?
It's okay. I don't love how hard it is to find everything because of the complex names... 🤷🏻
I was waiting for Don's Christmas sale if you sent $100 you get some books free. But 2023 no Christmas sale like that one. I even had that money waiting for sale
Oh well 🤷🏻 I guess that means you came into the new year with money burning a hole in your pocket 😉
I change up my sales every year, depending on what I have in stock and if I’m actually at home at the time of the sales. My “plus one” sale is coming up soon…
ANSWER YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGES ON MAGIC CAFE !!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣 does anyone get anything other than marketing spam? That's what all of my messages are...
Interesting perspective on this topic.
