"Gateway" was originally composed in 2021 for a sci-fi movie documentary, but unfortunately, it didn't make it into the final cut. However, in 2022, NRW featured it on the documentary's soundtrack. Despite the initial setback, this track became a personal favorite of mine, significantly influencing the direction I envisioned for "The Loop." Discovering it didn't make it into the documentary left me a bit frustrated. What a waste... Eager for more ears to hear it, I reached out to NRW, requesting permission to include it in my album by lifting the exclusivity clause. The version you hear on the album has undergone slight reworking from the 2021 version to seamlessly blend with the new album's sound.

Protect Volkor X at all costs
I've loved this track since i first heard it, on that documentary soundtrack,. In my opinion it is the finest of the bunch and I've probably listened to the original over 100 times.
That documentary fucked up beyond reason excluding this track. A Waveshaper song brought me to that original documentary soundtrack but this fucking GEM was the standout piece. I had the soundtrack going in the background but when this started playing I had to stop what I was doing to figure out what I was listening to.
Suffice to say Gateway was the only reason I bought that documentary soundtrack, so I’m beyond stoked to support you more directly with purchasing The Loop. Long winded post for sure, but Gateway is hands down one of my all-time favorite synthwave songs, so thank you for being one of my absolute favorite artists in the genre and keeping these bangers coming.

I enjoyed the first version of this song so much that when I heard this in the album I couldn't help but to smile, this song sounds so powerful and a good one to always go back to and listen over and over.
I just listened to the original upload of this a little while ago and don't mind a 2nd listen! Volkor X helps to motivate me at work as I transform into a cyborg space-ninja.

I do wonder though, this is the song that confuses me the most while listening to the story of The Loop. What is happening during this point of the story? Are Syd and JOSS traveling at light speed during 1:20? And is the ship, unknowing to Syd, travelling to their actual destination to investigate the source of whatever destroyed the entire planetary system?
