Nice ! Another interesting geographical valley tour.👍🇨🇦🤙
I always enjoy driving by Kamloops Lake
27 :40 looks like a beautiful cannon and trails
50 degrees, it's 7:11am and we are at 70 degrees heading for 105 degrees........summer in eastern Oregon.😋
nice. we’re close, 26*c / 76*f in Penticton. @7:14 am. Going to be a roaster again.😎👍
And a bit of smoke rolling in on que
@@JuanRempel Juan it would surprise you but in 90-to-100-degree weather we have seen farmers around here do field burning.
Yikes
I was in Vernon BC and a bit of haze and smoke coming from some wildfires burning
Sav-an-aww. Going to the former Ainsworth Plywood mill. I worked at the Tolko Heffley plywood plant for 7 years. Fun times ! South Thomson yes. North Thompson meets it at Kamloops, runs up Hwy 5 (Yellowhead)
Finally at least got 1 river right
@@JuanRempel Great fishing in both of those rivers. Fantastic trout.
Those trails you saw off the Peterson creek Bridge follow the creek uo a few kms to a small waterfall. That is all in Peterson Creek Park. The chip truck you were following took Exit 370 which bypasses city centre and he has to now descend another steep hill back down to the pulp mill west of the city to unload. I lived in Kamloops for 25 years and still love it. It is Sa va naw with the emphasis on the Sa. Thanks for the visit to Kamloops. Happy trails.
I guess that's another trail I'll have to explore
Canada sure has beautiful mountains. We do have some beautiful mountain ranges but not so much in New South Wales. Where I live.
We certainly have a lot more names in the credits 😀
Beautiful day for you and me. Rain has gone and 🥶 is on its way.
Fire Smoke os unfortunately rolling in.
Nice to see my old hometown again. I lived in various parts of Kamloops when I was growing up, including along the South Thompson River a few miles west of Monte Creek. The canyon that you drove over closer to town is Peterson Creek (where I spent a good part of my childhood exploring), and the trails do go quite a ways into the creek valley.
Those trails seem like they would be fun to explore
That's a really great train. I went on it on UTube, and it was lovely. Cheap too😂
I thought it was expensive 😆
That was a good video. Thank you 😊
Last time down this road(Hyw 97)was when my friend was teaching me how to drive a semi(super B with wood chip from Gormans Mill) in 85 on my days off from the company I was working for, big difference, safe travels!
I did have my class 3 license then, but no air endorsement. When I did get my air endorsement, I was grandfathered in meaning no classroom course, yippee 😂 all I had do is show I could adjust my breaks
The good old days, these days people are just to stupid not to do classroom work. I think that's due to companies not training drivers right anymore
@@JuanRempel yes, my friend wouldn't let me drive with a load until I was used to the feet of the size and weight of a empty of the unit and what a difference! But it helped
The old Sandhill back in the day was a tad more interesting when you had to come to a stop at the bottom then go right eastbound or left to Kamloops. It was a great improvement when they changed the intersection to what it is nowadays. The old route down Columbia St. passed the hospital was more than interesting in too many ways as well.
And the Canadian Pacific Railway is right there too. And nearby is the C.N.R. as well.
Definitely a train hub, don't forget the Rockie Mountaineer
As for the no hitch hiking near the prison, it's to prevent released inmates from stepping in front of vehicles to end their lives. It used to happen quite often. I am glad they implemented that law.
I did not know that, yea, im a fan of less un aliving
Yes…but you would think anyone that was in prison, isn’t going to give two hoochies about a “rules of the road” sign.🤷♂️
@@blueman5924 Most of the fatalities were walking downhill on the East side of the TCH and jumped in front of trucks that couldn't stop because of the downhill grade. Coming off the 'Coke' heading in to Kamloops in that direction is a very long process, and it starts well before you get in to Kamloops. Most truckers brakes are smoked 3/4 down that grade and they have a hard time stopping for an emergency. Somebody jumping in front of a truck in that area gives a driver literally no time to stop. Years ago a trucker lost brakes and took the downtown exit and rode it out until he wrecked and killed several people right in front of Royal Inland Hospital at the runout at the bottom of the hill. I was living there at the time and it was horrible.
That's terrible, scary
Morning Sir
Morning
See you next time Juan 👋
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE
MOOOOOOOOOOSE BURGER
It is a different h'way, which is good. We haven't seen it before.
You have seen it, it's just been a good long while
Fantastisch w900 👌
W900L to be more precise
@@JuanRempel 👍
@@JuanRempel Ahh, ich kann das L nicht vergessen!😁
@@SaskPlaneSpotterIt’s last, but not least.😉

If you put clear fingernail polish on both sides of the window where the chips are. It will stop it from growing. Make sure you put it just on and right after the chip. It saves you the money for a new windshield
Intresting, never thought of that
@JuanRempel I have done it many times with my cars. My wife car we did it too 4 months ago when I rock chip her windshield and it has not grown.
It was 40⁰C in Vernon BC and smoke and haze coming from Washington state i hard about it on the radio in Vernon
That Smoke haze is really spreading. Hopefully our Smoke season hasn't started
2 things today. Back in the 80's i used to catch the coal trains out of Kamloops & head to Calgary or Vancouver. The other is i spent time in KRCC when it 1st opened. Not proud of the 2nd thing
Jumping on trains always sounds like fun, just not as easy as it used to be. Not very comfortable either. Nothing wrong about coming from a past. The difference between people is the ones that got cought, we all did stupid things when young.
@35:06 Drivers cutting rigs off should get ticketed.
Amen
People are SO impatient!!! Thanks for another great drive. Love the drive from Armstrong/Vernon to Kamloops.
I'm in 100% agreement
Don't forget Falkland ..... and there Rodeo
G'day Juan
