Very good job, there was just one thing about the Ardat Yakshi: a big part of why they’re so often serial killers is that Asari primarily develop emotionally through melding. So, essentially Ardat Yakshi are physically incapable of forming emotional connections like normal Asari, putting them at a much higher risk of developing sociopathic tendencies.
And we're not even going to touch on the fact that all the Asari might be mindcontrolling us to think they look hot?

It's too bad that we'll never get to see a matriarch Liara. Liara would be one badass matriarch, with her experience fighting geth, pirates, mercenaries, cerberus, and reapers. Hell, we probably won't be playing as Asari any time soon. Seeing as we're four games into the franchise, and still only able play as a human.

Little bit of trivia not related to asari but related to belly buttons.
Belly buttons are pretty unsanitary, they tend to have a host of bacteria and maybe fungus in them since they are one of the places on the human body that isn't cleaned regularly but get exposed to moisture.
There have actually been new bacteria discovered in the human belly button.
All that said I would suggest against belly shots unless the stuff you're drinking is particularly strong and could be used as a disinfectant.

what you forgot the tell is HOW the Asari were a race to develop so quickly compared to the other races. In the previous cycle The proteans saw their potential and shared knowledge and technology to the ancient asari and left. after a while the asari started to see the proteans as gods. statues were build of them, resembling actual proteans, but over time they started looking more and more as asari and overtime the realisation that the proteans elevated the asari disappeared. as far as i know only a few asari are vaguely aware, but are not inclined to spread this information for reasons that are not really clear. anyways, great video MrRhexx! love your content
actually it becomes clear as they would have to share the knowledge with other species, and they fear that their reputation would drop if other species realize that the asari are advanced thanks to prothean technology they have kept secret for their own.

I always thought the Asari paint markings on their face as a way to make their appearance unique? Not like the Turians that paint markings on their face as a way to display their birthplace and them not having markings has them be taken as untrustworthy bare face is what the term they use is.

What I wish they did with the Ardat Yakshi in ME 3 was make them immune to reaper indoctrination. Where their natural biology would just override and destroy the machines inside of them. Would've given a great choice within the game to let them into the Asari military or keep them out.
Indoctrination screws with the neural pathways in a person's mind causing them to become sycophantic where they hear voices inside their heads and it influences them subtly by the time the person realizes it there, its too late. The reason Shiala the Asari that you can choose to save after killing the Thorian is indoctrinated but the spores in her as well as the colonist of Zhu's Hope connect them in such a way that it blocks out the Reaper's, she and the colonist are pretty much mind linked they can feel another persons pain and sensations like heat or cold at close proximity to one another, also its the reason she is green when she appears in the second and is shown in the third game. Rana Thenopsis from the first game if you let her go she appears in the second game by the third game her indoctrination kicks in and she blows up a Asari research facility in the third game which kills a few military officials as well as some civilians.

It reminds me of Horatio from Endless Space, a race that uses genes from other species to improve their own. They are all clones of the first Horatio and it's easy for them to improve themselves, so they can create the "perfect" race.

Actually biotic powers are something completely different from ability to meld and procreate. The fact that melding can take place without the physical contact is rather an oversight on the part of the game developers. It's just not logical, and it is not stated clearly in the games that it's possible to meld without physical contact.
As for the purebloods - it is stated in the games that procreating with another species does not really pass any traits to the asari offspring, making all that pression on procreating with other species purely spiritual/ideological/cultural.
Also, I think that there is no such a thing like "sexual melding" - It simply can (but doesn't have to) be initiated during banging.

I find it more interesting how the Asari seem to look like the race who sees them. The problem is more the body itself, even for Krogangs they look like them and as shown you can have sex with them like your race would. This kinda mindfucks me, so the whole structure of the body changes for each race and how they can touch them, wouldn't that cause glitches in the matrix, when a human and krogan would touch an asari at the same time?

They can! It's one of the only ways any Krogan can have children, even if they don't look like them.
They only have one brain, but have duplicates and even three sets of some organs. So when a Ardat Yakshi melds with a Krogan death still is the result.
If overloading one of their nervous systems still results in a brain hemorrhage then yes, because they only have one brain.

Well if you get right down to it the oldest species in the galaxy are those three Leviathans you get to fight the Reapers which I would say could be millions of years old by the time Shepard finds them in the Leviathan DLC in Mass Effect 3.

When I first saw Javvik the first thing that popped into my mind was that he probably could get any Asari he wanted since they are attracted to races that expand their gene pool and an untouched real prothean that's the last of its kind is like the rarest of the rare when it comes to gene pools.
Two questions both about the no same species thing:
One. if they take in the strongest stuff from other races then wouldn't you think that what they would end up with is diverse set of all of the strongest traits and there fore the most logical place to look for the strongest traits would then be with each other.
Two. if by default they do not inter breed with one another then how are they even still the same race, even without takeing in aspects from the other race their own DNA should shift over time and what they have is blood lines that are completely unconnected to one another so why do they still look the same at all.
Basically what these two questions boil down to is: how is anything supposed to make them stronger as a spices if they never share anything as a spices, its like if a scientist only shared their research with their children what good does it even do at that point, because only a finite amount of research can be passed on.
The only rectifiable answer would be if they share a little bit of the information bit by bit(or byte by byte haha.. Because its information... Sory I'll show myself out) with one another as they do those "platonic" melds, thus they would pick of the best parts that their community has to offer and then mix those with their own and that of their partner. Which would actually offer an explanation of why its a waisted effort to breed with their own kind because their already getting that same information and they don't need two copies.

Melding and biotics are separate, so not using biotics doesn't cut them off from reproducing. The tie to biotics is that their reproductive biology gives them a great advantage in learning to control biotics.
Shiala is at the top of my asari wish list. Def my fave. Tevos is smokin', but Joker's pretty much right about her--she's kinda distant.

none of them are girls and none of them have female Genitalia or male genitalia. Asari “genitalia” is more for harboring and birthing their offspring and is absolutely not for sex, not that they could have sex. Liara straight up says in the first game that they don’t even need to touch to create their offspring. But when you meld with an asari, they can simulate that sexual desire for you.
I think it was explained in the codex. Yes they do have private parts that are the same as humans and they can have sex and feel pleasure from it but they can't get pregnant from such an act. Plus the sex scenes from Liara and Peebee definitely seem to imply that's the case.

No but the asari may take those genes and add it to their baby's gene pool. Its only cause the human anatomy doesnt work that way.
I don't think its selective, the body does it naturally. Its like you are saying that for reproduction you select the genes you want to pass, all in a natural environment. You can only truly select them by the help of technology.

A huge detail is that for a child to be conceived both partners have to want the child. This is probably not known by bioware but in biology species like the asari are female. The style of reproduction sounds alien but there are plenty of Earth species that do what they do sans transpecies copulation. Also if the mating was "just" randomizing what's there then another mate wouldn't be needed. They likely would say it's just that to simplify and generalize what is happening. That is to say it isn't a hybrid cross-breed but a randomized selecting of compatible bits similar to early human hybridization with other human species but in a more limited way.
So, biotics to the Asari is like the spice melange to the Fremen.

Asari can control the depth of a mild meld they can do a minor one in which they can witness another beings memories share their own and they can transfer knowledge to the other being. If in a more romantic setting them can go more in depth to read another beings genetic traits to augment her set of DNA to produce a daughter the melding essentially links the two people's nervious systems together during the event. They often choose a member of another race to meld with instead of another Asari due to the belief that there is nothing to gain gene pool wise by melding with another Asari for procreation with the horrible name-calling of calling such Asari Pureblood and the likely hood of a Asari to Asari daughter being a Ardat Yakshi which is kind of a blend between Succubus and Vampire in which a Ardat Yakshi melds minds with its prey and burns out the target's nervous system and kill the prey and the Ardat Yakshi gets a narcotic effect from the killing and crave more of the killing and are sterile as a result of the condition.

Asari are not girls they are actually he she's they choose what parts they want and if they want to be the female or male in the relationship they are not straight up females or they wouldn't be able to produce they almost choose their fate men like to fantasize and believe they are just pure female which isn't the full truth even the game director spoke about this they can meld haha they are based off a woman's body though so I see why but that's the only thing that is kind of messed up guys like to forget the parts they don't want to hear I guess xD.
