Reynold Poernomo adalah peserta masterchef Australia yang berasal dari Indonesia yang juga merupakan adik dari juri masterchef Indonesia Arnold Poernomo.
Ia mengikuti ajang masterchef Australia season 12 edisi spesial yang bertajuk "back to win" yang berisi peserta-peserta top 12 dari season-season sebelumnya yang sudah sangat berpengalaman dan banyak yang telah membuka restorannya sendiri. Reynold sendiri sebelumnya merupakan peringkat 4 di season ke-7 yang setelahnya membuka dessert bar KOI di Sydney, Australia.

Even when he's out of his Ball Park in challenges (non-desserts lol) you still have to go up against one of the sharpest, most creative minds in the Food industry and an obsessive almost addicted craving for Perfection in Presentation.
Reynold is simply a Star.
Even if he didn't win the competition, he was still the best. In the real world, the best food are made by specialists, not cooks who try to cook everything new. He's the king of confection, and that's all he needs to be.

Reynold is the type of cooks that oftenly forget his own restaurant menu, so he just create new one with whatever inhredients he had.

Reynold is a gem for the culinary industry. "I don't know where I am going yet ... I saw it on CZcams, why not try it". All pieces and flavors come together during the cooking art process.
The only food related thing I have in common with Reynold is watching food videos on CZcams 😅

Love the lady judge, would move to Australia just for a chance to meet her. Love how Reynold does not have a clue what he is doing and just come up with an idea while he is cooking, awesome to see his thought process.
My favorite part is the plating style of Chef Reynold is very artistic! Just amazing and sooo yummy 😋 in my 👀 lol

I dont like it when when the judges trying to imply that it’s not a good idea to be taking a risk during elimination round. They’re there to challenge themselves. Not cooking something they’re familiar with and play it safe. That’s why the recent season is all curry and ice cream.
Bcus experimenting during elimination round can get u... well, eliminated. Bcus if it's smthing goes wrong since u're not familiar with the cooking, that's the end for u.
Experimenting during non-elimiation round is MUCH safer since u're not risking ur position & status in the game. & that's still a challenge in itself.
"Playing safe" during elimination period can be really good if u know to be creative & skillful since u're already familiar with the food anyway. What is even ur point??

But try to differentiate between a constructive feedback and negative criticism. What she did was planting the seed of doubt to an already determined contestant. Besides, there is no rule saying the contestants must play safe during elimination round. It’s a cooking COMPETITION show for god sake. Not a cooking show. If they want to cook safe food then I would rather watch a legit cooking show.

Why do they cook such large quantities when time is less and only one plate to produce
easy control and less waste... yes, less waste.
A chance to recreate when there is error. They have to prepare as much as they could so that if one element did not work, they can easily rework.

This is not master chef it is ask and waste the chefs time. The judges are not very helpful to set the time limit and then stop the chefs when they are cooking.
That's exactly what is a competition tournament is all about?!
The time doesn't actually tick down the way it seems. There are pauses and resets to account for time "wasting".
Worse that they're criticizing the dish for doing exactly what they asked of him. Balance. "It's not exciting." Balance rarely ever is. These judges are morons.
How do people know how to cook like this?
