    For the swappable sticks alone the Dualsense has...the edge (sorry). But in all seriousness I think the Edge has some really good features and you don't lose the dualsense capabilities so that's the one I'm planning to go for. I would love for it to have 2 more paddles though. Good video, great editing!

      So sorry for the long delay in replying - I've had a week of full day workshops at work which was offsite. Firstly, ,love the joke ... no apologies necessary. I never got to grips (sorry, not sorry) with four paddles I was always comfortable with two but thank you so much for the comment - they're always appreciate and I always reply!

      @@iamthegamingnerd hey no probs. Yeah I don't have the need for more paddles but would like to have the option though. Love when creators take their time to reply and interact with the audience. Keep it up.

    Thanks for the video. I ordered my hexgaming rival pro (only 2 mappable buttons) before realized the edge sticks are a whole module that can be replaced at once. I’m a flashy guy who doesn’t really have a need for those extra buttons but I want the controller to look sexy. I feel a bit of regret not getting the edge because surely my rival pro will start to drift right? Then what, I gotta open the controller up and try to fix/replace it. If I ever get to that point, I’ll probably just buy an edge and not wait on shipping 🤣. I hope I 100% love it when I get it.

      They look and feel great as a standard controller ... but it's the back buttons and warranty that let it down. So... fingers crossed for you mate.

    Hows the Hexgaming Ultimate holding up? Has it broken yet?

    • @iamthegamingnerd
      @iamthegamingnerd  Před 8 měsíci

      No - but I don't use it heavily. I just really hate the placement of the paddles on the back as even resting my fingers are on them and they're just so hard to feel.

    Good analysis, but does the HexGaming controller have the drift defect?

    • @iamthegamingnerd
      @iamthegamingnerd  Před 6 měsíci

      Not my own currently - and be wary the warranty is only 90 days on the Hexgaming.

    • @IAmMugel
      @IAmMugel Před 4 měsíci

      HARD stick drift defect for mine. I ordered mine after seeing a review of it by someone else and it lasted maybe a year before it started getting even worse drift than my official controllers. It's also very cheaply made, at least mine was. I'd ask for a refund if it wasn't too late. I'm thinking about a hypr controller with hal sensors. Would be awesome if @iamthegamingnerd did a review on one of those!

    • @iamthegamingnerd
      @iamthegamingnerd  Před 4 měsíci

      @@IAmMugel hall effect sensors almost have like a weird propaganda about them that they are the answer. Right now they have their own issues too - they maybe less resistant to stick drift but they can be terribly inaccurate - the reason I recommend the dual sense edge is because of it's warranty and swappable thumb sticks (at least)

    Does the hex gaming have unwanted stick drift?

      Not out of the box and I haven't experienced any thus far but I don't use my hex gaming controller very often. Maybe 30-40 hours maximum?

    • @iamthegamingnerd
      @iamthegamingnerd  Před rokem +1

      Personally, the dualsense edge. The trigger time doesn't feel much differenf, the back paddles are not comparable AND the warranty on the edge is a full year Vs 3 months.

      @iBlueClovr Před 2 měsíci

      @iamthegamingnerd scuf Reflex but if you can get Battle beavers buttons at the right spot then that would be good too. Same with nagashock, nagashock can do more than 4 back buttons too. My problem with the edge is that there are only two buttons, my problem with hex is that it's usable but the rear buttons aren't nearly as usable as other options so I'd give it a C for casual use and D for competitive personally. It's usable but there's no point in it when there are better options for the same price. If it was 130 instead of 200 I'd say that it's a good budget option
      Scuf is a good all around option one size fits all, battle beaver and nagashock can be good if you find the right button position the problem is finding that position can be time consuming and costly potentially. Victrix bfg isn't bad either, I'd give Victrix BFG a B, Scuf an A and Battle Beaver or Nagashock can be an A+ but only if the rear buttons are in the correct spot for you. Biggest problem with the victrix is the triggers are way too sensitive you need to change the deadzone in the app

      @@iBlueClovr my problem with Scuf has always been quality control and Nagashock with a 45 day warranty on stick drift - that's a fat no from me. $205 and if it develops stick drift early on - you're only option is to buy another one. That's crazy.
