It's amazing those that think they are pros. Bad advise on it working on pretty much any stain. Stains come in 2 types (organic and inorganic) you should know the difference and how they effect the many types of carpet out there.
Admittedly I'm not a pro....but I've had it work wonderfully for me
Hot water ‘cooks’ the stain, you’re meant to use cold water, maybe okay if have an extractor as you do, but if not, don’t use hot water on stains!

There is only one stain that hot water has a bad effect on. Before you say this you should be able to tell us what stain that is and why it's not wise to use hot water. Explain to us how you would remove Kool aid from carpet with only cold water or a cold application?
