I had cracked steering fusion. It was old

Yes, I believe that may effect it also :-)
@HatBoyHarvey Did replacing this fuse help? I have a damaged ABS fuse and I don't know if this will save the situation.
Yes, l believe it is working now, but may have do a 'basic setting' reset with obd2 to bless out the ABS unit as I'm in the process of renovating the brakes after a caliper locked up.

Does this use electro hydraulic power steering?
The pump is mounted separately from the engine without a belt drive, so ---

I bought one of these as a 'throw away ' commute car. 34,000 miles later it's still a fantastic car.
Wait till your wife sees you out in you house slppers
After 21 years my Fabia is still strong.
Skoda use same engines as audi and vw and they are damn good work horse engines
