Well made video.......Gotta question if you don't mind. So Rm30 per person in that car just to take you from one side of the border to the other (pretty much just through immigration), and another RM60 per person to take the van from after the border (at immigration) to hatyai?
There're several options here:
1. Take a VIP van to Hat Yai at Padang Besar station (RM30).
2. Take a van at Thai side (60 baht/RM8). You'll need to walk 1km from the border to the van station.
3. In between borders, there're agents. This is what we opted for. For RM 30 they'll drive you inside immigrations, then drop you off at the same van station as above, fares included. Then you'll board the van to Hatyai. Basically it is quite a rip off.
If you can walk and want a cheaper option, I suggest option 2. Else taking vip van at Padang Besar is more convenient.
