Actually he's always been into old school punk rock music. If you check out his interviews from 2010 to now you will notice he's into Linkiln park and blink 182. I love that this album is as much Travis's as it is Colson's. Travis is a writer on almost every track. His drums really give this whole album the punk cred it needed. It's one of my favorite MGK bodies of work for sure.
