A note to the commentator: @ 3:02 u mentioned that India's national sport is cricket. It is not. Even tho it is the most popular and followed sport, the national sport is hockey :)

Manika is upcoming table tennis star, she played really well except few loose shots especially in last set after 4-2 against wang. Well I am still amazed with the 4th set 9th point rally for Manika
Honestly, I don't think she is an up coming star. Why? A great player should win points by their skill and not by their opponent making mistakes.

I would like to see her winning her points by "real" table tennis skills like Deng Yaping rather than relying on her anti-spin long pips returning block to confuse her opponents, and thus winning the point by her opponent's mistakes. Absolutely nothing against her personally.
@@jamessoo4486 LOL You seems gentlemen and She is improving her skills. Everybody knows no one can win simply relying on rubber, one needs to attack and she is attacking. Earlier back in 2018-19 she only relied on rubber but now she has added a lot of skills and am sure she will continue to add slowly
Manika will not go far if she still continues playing this style.

WY played strong game! MB has great spin variation owing to long pips backhand followed by forehand top! Strongly disorienting.

Not many can play with this style... The secret to defeat this style is power loop kill from both wings .. long serve with no spin ,topspin or backspin to the lp... And kill it ... If u cant attack just keep the ball on table and wait for your chance to attack powerfully... If they can block it . Then keep the ball in the table and wait for another chance .. if their block goes high .. then u can flat hit the ball winning the point... Just my opinion of course... Btw i play a lot against this style in asia

That was painful for Wang. She's not good against the red long pips, pushes too much and doesn't step aside to use her forehand spin. Batra got to choose when to attack, she could just stab the ball at Wang's middle safely.
This style of long pips play is close to being disgusting. ITTF should ban the long pips for unfair advantage. As we know long pips are anti-spin, and you can use the normal black side to attack. Not a "gentleman" way of game.

The only weapon of manika is long pip spin... no other variant weapon in her arsenal... no chance to fight chinese player in long run or long term
What the heck is long pip spin? Long pips do not generate any spin, lol. It only reverses the spin of the incoming ball. Anyway, if she can reach the SF of such a big international tournament with “no other variant weapon in her arsenal” (as per your expert opinion), then her “only weapon” is pretty good I guess 😉

ITTF should ban the long pips totally as it gives the player an unfair advantage to counter the spin of an opponent. Even if a long pips player wins, it is not considered a hero because of the unfair advantage of anti-spin.
With the same logic, ITTF should also ban highly spiny and fast rubbers as even more players are taking advantages of them. Taking your suggestion, player should use to what people used in the beginning, a kind of short pip hard bat i believe. LOL
