I love this show and Ben, if you ever happen to read these comments..... Congratulations on the success of what I am sure will eventually be essential prime time viewing.
Looking back at all the episodes I've only seen one time where something went wrong which was a metal bar coming off between dropzones 1 and 2 but if anything it just makes the counters act differently for an episode without affecting the set which is amazing for how long you've been running and I hope to see plenty more episodes soon
I like the show and watch it daily. I just got the game on my phone and its great. The Quiz mixed with dropping counter's makes it my favorite to play. Thanks Ben Shepherd⭐👍
This wonderful show doesn’t appear on Canadian TV but we discovered It when we were in Dublin in 2018. Fortunately, we can watch it on CZcams. Everything about it is brilliant, but I wish every contestant could take home some form of prize. Also, the timing of the drop is often terrible because the shelf is moving back when the counter hits the bottom and a rider often results. Dropping the counter when the shelf hasn’t quite begun to move forward would prevent this. It’s still the best game show ever!
That's the whole point of the "pachinko" pegs in the drop zones that randomises the way the counters drop, otherwise it would be too boring and predictable if there were no riders or surfers. The show is on in Australia at 3pm every weekday that coincides with my beer o'clock - I'm retired. lol.
In this video, Ben takes Maycee behind the scenes of Maycee's favourite ITV game show called Tipping Point. Maycee and Ben fell in love with each other since they first met. Maycee loves this video so much.
I know it’s been almost 10 years, but I cant stop watching this show! It’s so good when you see the counters going down a pachinko machine, but to the people who say the quiz show is fixed and ghost drops are magnets, this is a little secret, the counters are actually plastic so all I can think of that affecting the counter to make it ghost drop is a bunch of dust keeping it up, but then it breaks through the dust and continues to drop, and when it’s stuck on a peg, I think they tap the back of the machine to knock it off.when the counter goes down it really does bring my tension! and a £10,000 win on this game just brightens my day, if I don’t say anything else here, happy 10 years tipping Point!
Loving Tipping Point from Australia, especially when there's a question like 'what kind of animal is a wombat . . . . . reptile, marsupial or fish? And the contestant gets it wrong!
Sort of an oddball, this show. Whoddathunkit they'd make a game show around an arcade game? It works, oddly enough. As for Carol Vorderman... I think Countdown's regretting discounting her.
The ratings and my nephew beg to differ. My nephew said it was one of the best shows he's ever done; my nephew STILL hasn't forgiven himself for his toxic fallout with Ben Shephard. I wish he would.
Ben I got two mystery counters on the game on my iPad I was just playing the game until that’s it 😊 love your game on devices fan of your game on itv 👍🏻 love the chase two
After the coins have fallen, Does the machine automatically reload them back up the top or does that have to be done manually? and how many coins does it hold all up?
There is a stagehand who clears the counters from the win zone at the end of each contestant turn. On very rare occasions, a drop zone has been getting a lot of use, the game will pause and the stagehand will reload a drop zone cartridge. Those brief pauses in the game are then edited out from the final broadcast version. The machine has 4 spring-loaded cartridges up the top that contain about 25 counters in each drop zone. The contestant buzzers are sending pulses to a computer controller which either buzz the set or release a counter depending on the shows mode. The machine usually starts off with 60-70 counters on each shelf along with the bonus counters placed sporadically along the top and bottom shelves. Sometimes a few more counters are added to fill some gaps. All up, the machine has around 250 plastic counters which are just slightly smaller than a CD Rom in size. Sound effects are then added post-production to give a metallic sound when the counters drop and shuffle.
Ben says.... "Phil Schofields dressing room that he let's nobody in for love or money"........ Well that's because now we know what old Phil was getting up too 🤣.
I'm looking forward to this show; I'm also impressed that it's got a lot of positive reviews. Fingers crossed the ratings reflect this. My nephew said he'll never forgive himself if it doesn't.
After watching this on Aus TV for a year or more I wonder where they get their contestants from, a queue at Tesco or something? "What continent is Mount Everest on"... ching..."Africa?". I'd be hopeless because I don't follow UK sport, or pop music and have no idea who Ariana Grande is.
The machine has 4 spring-loaded cartridges up the top that contain about 25 counters in each drop zone. It's all pre-loaded before the show starts except if a drop zone gets a lot of use then the recording stops and the stagehand refills the cartridge.
The laying of the counters? They extend the top tray and one of the producers lays them out with a view that each mystery counter is won by the three failing contestants. Usually a mystery counter is placed on the bottom shelf to be won before the first commercial break. It's pretty boring to watch!
I think Ben is a brilliant host. Not too smarmy or cheesy, not false in any way. Just a regular guy who knows how to talk to people and seems to genuinely want them to win. My only complaint about Tipping Point is that there's not enough risk in it for me. I think there has to be an element of high risk, high reward. So when somebody has managed to assemble a 3-4K prize fund, the option of gambling it all for 10K is not enough really to convince them - they are quite happy with their 3 to 4K. Make it a bit more interesting at the end please, ITV.

Where do the counters go after the win zone? Does someone come and pick them up or do they access a gap so they drop down in to the machine.

How do they know how many drop as soon as drops he says how many across unless it's edited
they have someone that comes past and counts them for him then afterwards they cut that part out of the show
