- Gail wrote this song when she was still in the band. It's about how it was to work with David. She says: "It is basically how it felt to suddenly be whisked away in one of the coolest bands in the world, and to be travelling, performing, and appearing all over the world with one of the greatest and most charismatic artists of our time. Magical is the word that comes to mind. It felt like being caught in a fairytale, one of those things that doesn't happen to you, but to someone else, someone luckier than you. Well, this time I was queen for a day, and it is a time I will always remember. If you look closely at the lyrics, I make many references to the names of Bowie songs; Little Wonder, Hero, Fame. The chorus begins "I want to dance", which is a play on 'Let's Dance'. Stuff like that. I was trying to have fun with it."

Love all the Bowie song titles throughout; the fact they don't stick out like a sore thumb is a sign of her writing talent.
I know Iman was the love of his life, but this lady and he obviously had a very special relationship!

Love this son much! Her friendship with David was so beautiful you could see how much they cared for each other.
I can't watch this often enough and David and Gail performing Absolute Beginners...nothing I've seen compares to the two of them having fun together and singing their hearts out!

Beautiful voice, lovely lyrics. I just love watching David and Gail together they are amazing. She must be devastated. Rest in Space Starman (nicked that from someone but it sounds so perfect)
