Oh, bai manglak? That’s lemon basil in English. It’s really awesome in kanom jeen nam ya-that’s those thin rice noodles with a spicy fish curry. Lemon basil adds this cool, citrusy kick that’s just perfect with the spicy curry. Makes everything taste so fresh! You’ve gotta try it, especially with the nam ya krati (coconut milk-based) curry. It’s got this mix of coconut milk and spicy flavors that’s just out of this world, and the basil just ties it all together. Super refreshing!

Saturday here in Murcia 🇪🇦 Kseniya and I are having a charity fundraising day at the villa for a local couple who run a dogs home for strays etc, good cause we have setup an outdoor cinema screen to show old hollywood golden era of films, bbq, raffles, disco. We invited around 250 people to the villa to let them know we show our support for the local causes and the people as we are the newcomers to the surrounding area. We love you guys 🩷🌟👍🥰

Welcome Danny & Diggy to visit Nakhon Si Thammarat. I went to Kiriwong. I have to stop by and eat Auntie Khiaw's Khanom Jeen too. Then you must come to Wat Phra Borom Mahathat. How many days will you stay in Nakhon Si Thammarat?
-I went there 20 years ago. It was very beautiful and refreshing in the rainy season.
-The herbal leaves are Lemon basil (In Thai say Bai Meng Lug) , the same family as sweet basil (Bai Kra Poa), holy basil eat with Larb (Bai Ho Ra PA) . It smells delicious and is very fresh. In Khanom Jeen shops both in Bangkok and other provinces, there will be almost every shop with basic ingredients.
-Very private accommodation You almost slept with your four-legged friend. 🐕 -Have a fun trip.
Oh my gosh, I am so jealous. I lived in phuket for 3 years before I moved to Canada. I ate Khanom Jeen almost every day. The southern style yellow curry, the first one Diggy has and Kaeng Tai Pla are my favorite for Khanom Jeen. The herb is lemon basil, Bai Maeng Luck, so good for you. The clear spicy soup that Danny had called Numya Pa, which is Isarn style. The most famous fried chicken is Kai Tod Had Yai, which is from a city Nakhon Sri Thammarat. Salivating right now. Going to the kitchen, lol.

@danny_and_diggy I made a poor version of Khanom Jeen Numya Pa. Nothing fancy but it served my craving , enjoy as much. I have never been to Nakhon Sri Thammarat. This is an amazing video to remind me how beautiful Thai cities are.

ที่คุณ Danny ถามว่าน้ำยาอะไรออกหวานๆมีถั่วลิสง .. คือ น้ำพริก
และน้ำยาที่กินแล้วเผ็ดคือ .. น้ำแกงเผ็ด .. เมื่อกินขนมจีนกับน้ำแกงเผ็ดต้องกินผักเยอะๆหรือไม่ก็มีไก่ทอดหรือไข่ต้มด้วยจะลดความเผ็ดลงได้ ..ปกติอาหารประเภทแกงเผ็ดทางภาคใต้จะเผ็ดกว่าภาคกลางต้องกินกับผักเยอะๆเพื่อลดความเผ็ดและมีรสชาติอย่างอื่นผสมลงไปด้วยจะอร่อยมากขึ้น
น้ำยาขนมจีนภาคใต้ที่เขาบอกว่าเผ็ดแบบไม่ใส่กะทิมันร้อนพริกไทยดำ ถ้าเรียกแบบภาคกลางก็คือน้ำยาป่า สไตล์อีสานไม่ใส่พริกไทยดำแค่พริกหอมแดงกระชายเขาใส่น้ำปลาร้าแทนกะปิ น้ำยาขนมจีนจะแกงแล้วแต่คนชอบเผ็ดน้อยเผ็ดมาก โดยปกติแล้วคนท้องถิ่นว่าธรรมดา ยิ่งคนฝรั่งกินเผ็ดสุดของเค้าแล้ว แต่ฝรั่งบางคนก็ชอบกินรสจัด

Here , You need to use spoon to eat and fork to help to load food to the spoon . Without spoon it s hard to pick rice , noodles and others as our food mostly pre-cut

That is Bai Mang Luck in Thai. It's kind of basil leaves but different of smell and taste too much. I love to eat Bai Mang Luck with kha nom jeen to much too. Love to watch your video. ❤
Yes, it s a kind of basil leaves. We have sweet basil for curry , holy basil for pad kaprao , bai mang luck which not sure english name for many veggies soup …most of our viggies which can eat fresh with khanom jeen or types of pastes …it s good and healthy food as all of them are good herbs

D / D Nakhon Si Thammarat very close to my home town just about two hours away name is Trang Province. Trang they have number one crispy roast pig in Thailand ! Call Moo Yang ! very delicious. When the people's went over there they looking for ! Moo Yang Muang Trang ! if you have times should go and try it. Trang Provine is Kingdom of delicious foods.Most of TV channel they went and suggested the people's to go there. good luck both of you.
