Mr. Ramsay, I made this dish and it turned out phenomenal!! Thank you for sharing! That onion sauce gravy was sooooo good. My wife said she ate at your restaurant in Vegas and remembers how good it was (bangers and mash). I made it and she said it was perfect! I had to make the mash differently, my kids only eat my version (potatoes, melted butter and whole milk, sour cream) but man was it good! You are the master of cooking!!

I always thought if there are 2 cameras going, one full cam done by I think Meg, and the direct one on pan downs by Tilly, why don’t they organize it to Till only pans down and Meg shoots the full shot of Gordon etc. I sincerely love the whole family and look forward to their vids 🤗

Finally a bangers and mash recipe! Been needing this for a long time to recreate a bar food I missed in the UK! Thanks for making this video and keep these coming! I’m sorry your daughters aren’t giving your cooking much justice, maybe next video get one to focus on the food and another on you so you have enough footage. I did get a bit frustrated not being able to see some close up of the food and missed knowing how it looks at certain times to keep track if I’m doing it right.

Omg THANK YOU! I had just had a brutal day of running around like crazy for my children, trying not to contract Covid while getting their necessities and I get home to a resounding lack of appreciation. Before I went out to risk my life, all was life and death and drama. I get home and suddenly it’s inconsequential. Then I put on this video and try to regain my temper and you’ve no idea how it helped to see the great Gordon Ramsay being given a hard time by his children as well. I feel much better. And the dish looks amazing. Thank you for making my day better.

I made this and it was amazing. I used parsley instead of chives, and garlic salt a British friend of mine brought back from England on her last trip. I also used venison sausage. I will be making this again and again. And for me to say that, you know it was good.

On this video, I've never seen Gordon getting recorded by his family, whereas he's cooking, and also those who love the kitchen would want to have a Masterclass with him to know how to work under pressure in the kitchen.

That's exactly how I've always done my onions - I also add some chestnut mushrooms & pancetta to them really makes the meal more hearty!

Didn't want to double the acidity, wanted to get it only from balsamic. Makes sense, since he knew he wanted the balsamic flavour he had to get acidity from there so he cut it out of the onions. Plus he said he really likes the flavour of the red onion.
Bullshit anyway because white onions have a pH of about 5-6, which is pretty damn neutral. He has that from his mentor, Marco, who said the same thing always. I guess they mean pungency.

@@alexven92 what you said does not mean anything unless we know the acidity of a red onion. I went and looked it up and it's almost identical. Maybe it's the sweetness that compensates.
They certainly cook differently. I don't know about other nations but white onions are only really available in Australia around Summer. Red and brown are there all year round. Bit of a pain really as I find Asian dishes definitely go better with white onions. I have used reds with lamb chops and they are bloody marvellous.

I'm just watching this in 2022... I'm a nurse, involved heavily with COVID-19 patients when the pandemic began, moved into ITU. I've been away for 18 months in another role, and I'm going back to work in A&E next month, and honestly, when you said about the NHS, it gave me a pang of pride, but also took me right back to when it began.
