I'm interrupting my watch (at the 3 minute mark) to ask if you've ever seen the movie "The Wizard of Oz" from 1939 - as the look on your face at this point is one of utter bewilderment (along with amazement). At least one reactor I watch had absolutely no clue what was going on and was so confused that he didn't enjoy it at all, even though he appreciated the vocal skills and recognized most of the songs). But if you don't know that movie (and it is very much an American staple around November of each year for some reason) then you can't really see how brilliant this is. Todrick Hall is one of my favorite artists. His "Straight Outta Oz" video album contains some really brilliant and beautiful stuff, and I highly recommend it. Every song references the story in some fashion, though sometimes it's only in the title of the track, but I think you'd really like "Dumb," which is a rap by the Scarecrow, and is a serious smackdown of the music industry. My personal favorite is Pappi, which is actually funny, but also has some amazing power vocals.

From the opening credits with portraits of each of the group's members, to 'Dorothy' clicking her shoes together at the end to get back home, references to the original movie are sprinkled throughout the production. A genius arrangement, and Todrick is the mastermind. PTX just made the vision happen. Great reaction.

YES! This is one of my favorite PTX collabs. The song choices for their respective parts in the video; it's just so well planned. PTX and Todrick are geniuses in how they arranged the medley and production; it's so theatrical and a brilliant homage to a classic. Kirstie especially shown bright here!

Kirstie wrote it, and the production, the editing…, like wow! It is called “Be My Eyes”. I don’t know why this one is not touted more. It is very professional.
For the umpteenth time, PTX did not come up with this concept. This was Todrick Hall's concept, arrangement, and production. He just asked his friends PTX to collaborate with him on it, and everyone, including Todrick, did an amazing job.

actually "Short Dick Man" is a song by American hip house group 20 Fingers featuring rapper Gillette. It was released in August 1994. I know that when you google it all results are from lyrics sites and come up attributed to Salt-n-Pepa but when you go through Salt-n-Pepa discography and track listings of their albums and singles this song isn't in them

If you want more of "Wide Awake", they have a very old (June 2012 - it's among one of their oldest) couch vid, it's a mash up with "As Long As You Love Me" So it's listed as "As Long As You Love Me/Wide Awake" They sound incredible and the nickname KO is especially apt in this one I think! Watch the whole thing, because even their outro is precious lol.

You should check out some more todrick Hall also he has another one with Mitch Scott and Christy they went to the same school when in high school. Todrick has a whole show called straight out of Oz some of that is as a schoolboy and some of it is as a drag queen the hour and a half long concert video has special guests like Bob the drag queen and RuPaul there's several songs in that that you should react to
I love that the songs relate to each character, "I've been thinking bout cha" cause the scarecrow has no heart, The tinman needs his heart repaired and the lion tries to act Fierce but is actually a coward.

I would recommend “Making Christmas” first for Halloween and then silent night, Coventry carol, white winter hymnal, coldest winter, and little drummer boy. But that’s just a start. actually "Short Dick Man" is a song by American hip house group 20 Fingers featuring rapper Gillette. It was released in August 1994. I know that when you google it all results are from lyrics sites and come up attributed to Salt-n-Pepa but when you go through Salt-n-Pepa discography and track listings of their albums and singles this song isn't in them

They are so diverse! This theatrical version is so amazing. Todrick Hall was a friend of Scott, Kirsty and Mitch in High School and did this production asking PTX to help him out on this project. And they did it perfectly. Hall has his own channel too. Thanks for reacting! Enjoyed it!.
I'd love to hear perfume medley by them! They did really well with the Japanese tonality and Mitch has some great vocals in it too! One of my fav medleys!

If you want more of "Wide Awake", they have a very old (June 2012 - it's among one of their oldest) couch vid, it's a mash up with "As Long As You Love Me" So it's listed as "As Long As You Love Me/Wide Awake" They sound incredible and the nickname KO is especially apt in this one I think! Watch the whole thing, because even their outro is precious lol.

You should check out some more todrick Hall also he has another one with Mitch Scott and Christy they went to the same school when in high school. Todrick has a whole show called straight out of Oz some of that is as a schoolboy and some of it is as a drag queen the hour and a half long concert video has special guests like Bob the drag queen and RuPaul there's several songs in that that you should react to

ok so since this is your last PTX reaction so far I thought I would furnish you with some PTX Originals you actually asked for way back when you reacted to Hallelujah LOL I recommend from 2016: "Love Again", "Run To You", "Can't Sleep Love". From later years with Matt as bass, "coffee In Bed", "Petals" (it's a visualizer and not an actual video), "Never Gonna Cry again" (also a visualizer and not an actual video). I didn't see any of these in your PTX playlists so I'm assuming you haven't heard them and their artistry of doing original music. Your reactions are so wholesome and sweet. You should definitely listen to more of their Christmas stuff as the holidays get closer! I would recommend “Making Christmas” first for Halloween and then silent night, Coventry carol, white winter hymnal, coldest winter, and little drummer boy. But that’s just a start. You should do a whole Christmas series and listen to all of their holiday songs. They’re incredible. Also check out the band straight no chaser. Their rendition of the 12 days of Christmas is so good
