I feel like this shoe was headed towards an 8 for score but then the 6/10 for overall comfort and 7/10 for distance almost made it seem like you were trying last second to prevent an 8 score.
Yeah, I would totally agree. He said he had a hard time finding anything wrong with the comfort and then ended up giving it a 6.

I haven’t tried the gore Tex version, but the Pegasus Trail 4 may be my favorite Nikes ever. Road or Trail , it’s so versatile and great feel underfoot

These shoes are legit I took them for 5 miles out of the box and did a route where I thought I would slip and slide all over the place and I didn’t slip once hauling ass down hill no problem these shoes have made slightly fall in love with Nike

Love the reviews. I love the channel. I would love a little more info on toe box room and width availability. I feel I only have Saucony and New Balance options. Hoka wide is not true wide. Nike and Adidas ignore the wide. I have size 13 WIDE feet training for a half marathon. DGR STRONG, wide foot revolution.

I bought these for my wife and we were out at 4am this morning in a storm, when we got home her feet were feeling great and dry and mine were soaking and prune like, this shoes do the job they are built for. She had no discomfort.
I won't hit my yearly mileage goal due to injury and sickness... and so the rest of this year is all about just getting back on routine and back to fitness, so I can start my next training block in January 🙏🤞🏼 Onward and upward to 2023!!
A few more 100 mile weeks before that sweet, sweet taper in the new year before Houston!

I don’t know why no one is talking about it but the rubber on the outsole wears so fast it isn’t even remotely doable. I run road to trail and the roads are basically so bad they are also potentially also classifiable as rocky trail and after one 15km run the sole looked like I had run 150-200km. I sent them back and ordered another pair and had the same issue. To me the peg4 GTX is a complete fail. I switched to NB Hierro 6 gtx and will never go back.
Interesting….that’s a bummer to hear. Hierro with the brand name outsole Vibram Megagrip is tough to beat
@@MattD86 I’ve been a ride or die Nike customer since I was a kid. I can tell you the foam on the Hierro is superior, the sole grips like the Nike shield sole on slippery patches, runs great on the road, has the traction of a trail shoe and lasts forever. I’ve put 400km roughly on them and they are still not even half worn. Compare that to any Nike sole and I can say I have rarely gotten more than 400-450km total out of a Nike shoe. To me Nike has lost their way and I won’t be going back.
I have about 80km on my peg trail 4 gtx, and they still look untouched, and they've been my road to trail to road shoe in the Wasatch. I've had the opposite experience so far, it's a bummer to hear that yours have fallen apart.
QoD: I have 6.5 miles to go to hit my annual mileage goal of 1200 miles. I should get there in a couple days, otherwise I'm taking it easy the rest of the year. I've been nursing a calf strain for the last two weeks, so I just want to slowly build up and make sure that the calf is healed so I can start my first marathon training block in January.
I took off most of November and December from running. I signed up for Crown King scramble 50k in late March, so I just started running and training again.

I have a pair of PG Tral 4 GTX and I'm not sure they are that long lasting though; I've worn them for light tuns through easy courses and the outsole is almost 1.5 mm worn out already, when I was feeling the rocks in every step decided to look at the bottom of the shoe and noticed the early signs or wear.
The Zegama performs quite well, also concerned about the wear and lack of grip on wet surfaces.
I would have to try on first. Though liking the design and look on this one! I wish there was option for this in a non GTX option with the boot collar to help keep the debris out. Since it is GTX should be better in wet conditions, and not so great I imagine for breathability on hotter trail days! 🥵

How is the sizing vs the Pegasus 39?

sounded like this was definitely in the 8s, then the comfort score was a 6! it came as a surprise and you didn’t really mention any discomfort… i guess the hardness of the midsole? what gave it below average marks?

qod: I've been living in Chicago (100% flat) for 3 years. I'm coming back home (Chile) after 2 years. I have some gnarly elevation gain goals to tackle between Christmas and new years. I hope santa brings some freshness to the legs! Onwards and Upwards (finally upwards!!).
Would you say these are okay to use in warmer climates too? I see some other reviews stating these are more ideal for winter running. I plan to use these for different conditions, but snow may not be one of them.
spotted these on the jd sports site earlier today (UK) for 85 quid
There is a colourway on for £80 I had to pull the trigger despite also buying Speedgoats in the sale. Plan is to use these on road/trail mix especially wet days with puddles.
Don't have the GTX version, but love my Pegasus trail 4s. I have put nearly 100 miles on them in 2 months and still feel juat as good as day 1. I had a paid of Hoka speedgoat 5s and liked my nikes better.
I wear a size 15, and usually Nike shoes are a bit smaller on my feet. Not these! Very roomy at the toe box and really comfortable!
How about testing the waterproof part. Isn’t that the most unique aspect of it?

I got 2 pair for $80 on the nike site. They were on sale and then another 20% with a code word. The colors weren't my favorite but hey, I don't wear them for the style points.

I just paid $82 on Nike app for a pair, I got the noble green pair. I bought it for the deal and I’m hoping it’s a solid pair. I like the aesthetic though of the one I got.
I wonder if it would go for more than 100-150 miles. Every Nike shoe I’ve owned for running does not have very high mileage before they give out

Can you explain the 6/10 comfort score? Is it too tight? Not soft enough? You didn't even mention it, in fact it sounded like you were really positive about it but inexplicably gave it a 6. Also 7/10 for price seems a bit mean considering you're getting Gore-Tex, which is an expensive addition, for less than the price of some other shoes that don't have Gore-Tex or any weather proofing.
It would be good if you showed the final score with it in a list of other similar shoes and what their scores were so we can easily compare.
Do you guys think these would be alright for Moab Arches 50?

i have the salomon ultra glide and testet the pegasus trail 4 gtx. Salomon UG is better for me, the midsole from the salomon has more energie return, it just feels way nicer and the pegasus feels to heel heavy for me, the stride i make with the pegaus feels wrong, much better with the salomon. thats my opinion but i think this trail shoe from nike is way better then before.
are salamon GTX?

Curious to know why your daily vlogs no longer show up as "new" videos in my feed. Even when I look at my list of subscriptions to the left, and see all of the blue dots next to names indicating "new" uploads from those channels, yours never has that anymore Seth. You used to be at the top of my feed every morning but, in the last month or two, your videos aren't showing as new/unviewed; I have to click on your channel and go to videos to see what's new. Just so you're aware this is happening... not the end of the world for me, but you might be missing some views due to this.

Great road to trail shoe, good looking and some of the best colourways around, but massively let down by the fact they are not waterproof, oh the irony, with all the huge Gore-Tex branding!!!
My goal was 1000 training hours. But I'm not gonna make it, since I had to take a holiday that forced me to train a bit less. But 950 hours isn't that bad 😂

I’m training for a 50km trail race. As a training shoe would the zegama or peg trail 4 gtx be better?
Peg Trail 4 all day long! Zegama is a racer, too stiff.
Zegama are stiffer and also the foam is going to degrade faster, wont last as a daily trainer for long

These are not waterproof over the laces. if you step in water that is deep enough to cover the laces, water will go in. It does have gore-tex all over shoe except under the laces. this is kind of misleading because a goretex shoe should also cover the laces. My other goretex shoes like salomon have no problem steeping in water submerging my laces. Just something no one is talking about. i bought mine and returned it thinking it was just that particular shoe but each new pair i received had the same thing. So don't submerge this shoe over the laces under water.
Why the comfort 6 score? It can't be right. It makes no sense.

Yes, I must say best winter running shoe of all time. I feel its very good cushioned. Have done several longruns here in Norway in harsh conditions. The upper dries up very fast. Grip and upper is unbelievable. If one shoe in winter this is it.
these aint waterproof at all, maybe a little water resistant at best. I walked in some short wet grass for about 15 mins, water leaked into the shoes and my socks were very wet, my wife also got a pair and the same thing. The shoe is great though apart from that, lightweight comfortable but dont but if you want somethign actually waterproof - these aint it!
Got this for $77 lol. Can't believe the savings for what you get. Grab these before it goes.
