Working perfectly! Thanks for the easy and comprehensive explanation. I had a problem with applying this method and I got #ERROR. After a while, I figured that I can't have Arabic titles in my data source. It didn't work. But once I adjusted titles and Join formula to English, it worked perfectly. So I thought to share my experience with that. Good luck and thanks from the heart!
This is amazing, exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I learned a lot and now I'm going to use this for my work project!!
Dear, two questions: the first is if you want to do this creation via javascript, but without using the pivot table as I do; the second is how you work with graphics in google sheets.
I know Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Donovan Atticus Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hello, I found here what I was looking for. Thanks! Question: Is there a way to also mention the occurrence of each brand in brackets along with the unique brand names? For example - Puma (5), Nike (9), Adidas (12)
What if your regions in the SUBTOTAL tab are laid out as columns with the brands sold listed under each column? How do you summarize that? Thanks for this content, I'm learning more about GSheets!
Nice sir but I have a question Sir I have create in payout Google spreadsheet and share other user but I want other user edit only column G other column protect please sir how to protect other column and one column unprotected any script plz tell me sir
Hello, First of all thank you very much , I love your videos and you have taught me a lot of stuff in google sheets.Regarding this video ,I was trying to make a pivot table where I have the sales_rep as a row then midwestern_region as a calculated field. Instead of joining the data in the midwestern_region and printing it in one single cell , is there a way by which I can print the values of midwestern_region in the next rows . eg. here the values were CROCS, CROCS,CROCS in a single cell, instead of that can I get CROCS in one row then CROCS again in the next row and so on till the last element for Amy Wood , then for the next sales_rep. Thanks in advance.
realise this is 2 years late but what I did is you can use CHAR(10) as your delimiter in your join instead of "," so that each value is separated by a line break. It's not on different rows but probably looks cleaner this way anyway
This video is for Google Sheets, not Excel. That being said you should be able to use Excel Power Pivot, add a new Measure and to do something similar to this.
Hello, Im new to google sheets and Im having some hard time and couldnt find anything on the internet, i was wondering if you can help me.. I need to do a dropdown list, and depending on which option i choose i need to do a different query.. The thing is, each query brings different columns, i cant just put a default query.. When i use IF it does works properly, but i cant add more "else ifs" (so its only if true do query x, else do query y, cant add more queries).. When i use IFS or switch it just returns the first cell, not all rows/columns.. Sorry for bad english, thank you anyway :)
Hi. it's a superb tutorial in deed. Infact the same activity require query support in Excel, but it's seem simple in sheets. I need a help. While trying the same in sheets, I am getting formula parse error. Please help me to fix it. Thanks

:)
Thank You, Great Video
thank you, it is a great help for my pivot
FYI the JOIN function requires a ; (semicolon) to divide separator from array. Used a comma instead and it was giving me parsing errors.
Thankyou, it is works for me.
But i want to separate data with Enter (I want to make the next data below the previous data).
how can I do that?
This was money!

Hi, great video.
Is it possible to change the color of the cell, depending on the text, that is, if the cell says, mark, does the cell change color?
I used concactx combined with values formula in excel and get accurate result but this way this not working in google sheet any alternative ?
Nice sir but I have a question

Good Day!
I am already using google sheet right now and I wanted to enhance more. I wanted to ask if this
What if there is only one brand per rep, how would the formula look like? I searched high and low but could not find the solution. 🙏🙏

@@ronakattack Hi, can we put dash symbol before the text?
for example:
- Data A
- Data B
- Data C
I just found by myself.
Use formula :
="- "&join(CHAR(10)&"- ";Brand)
Cheers 🍻🍻
Have you tried “-“,CHAR(10)
so how to chart pivot table show text as value?
stock card can be made in the query function?
beautiful!!!
This is genius¡!!!!!
Did you add the Brand sheet column as a named range to use on the calculated field formula?
No, it goes by column names in your data.
Not working on Office 365.. when i use a numeric value for the 2 dimensions still the formula does not work..

@@ExcelGoogleSheets thanks. I was able to achieve getting the values but could not apply unique function to get one single value.
@@shantanuk21 There is a function called DISTINCT in DAX. You should be able to apply it instead of UNIQUE.
THANK YOU. in my sheet i want to list date values in pivot table . but JOIN func not work for date format. what can i do?
Use TEXT function inside JOIN
@@ExcelGoogleSheets thank you. The problem was column name that has two words. It must be one word.
@ I was having the same problem and it worked when I changed the column headings to a single word instead of two words, Thank You.
Awesome

Check your column names
This is not working in my end, need your help guys
I use excel but I don't have "Summarize by Custom" option: is it possible?
In Excel you can get similar results with Power Pivot and custom measure. You can't do it with a regular pivot table.
👍🏻
Does it work on excel?
You can do something similar with Power Pivot in Excel. You'll need to create a Measure, which is basically the same thing as calculated filed.
Wow, Google Spreadsheet is better than MS Excel.
Sometimes.
I cant
