I was having a conversation with some ex-friend who was telling me about how she reacted to something unfair. Her reaction was very dramatic and I was like ehhh. She told me, "I am very sweet like sugar but I can also be bitter like chilli". I laughed and continued with life. A few months later I got to see the chilli side of her and I was like geez! She had actually said she was like chilli but I didn't grasp it now I clearly see why and how. I was traumatized but had I known how to listen, all this drama would be avoided
