    I replaced my controller and display but it's not giving me any power when pedaling... I do have power though when throttling so i don't know what happened.

    Thanks for making this video Brian, it's very helpful. I found the rubber strips difficult to put back in place too so I found a way to use my tire lever by forcing one side in after setting the other side exactly where it needed to go. A bit of force is still needed but it might be easier than wetting and sliding it.

    Congrats on getting the reinstall right. Remembering to send the black wires through first and to keep the battery connection wires (the yellow XT connector) underneath the ECU, instead on top of the ECU is the biggest mistake people make.

    I'm happy I didn't have to do something like this with my Crosscurrent S.. thanks for the video

    Just some additional experience for people considering buying a Juiced. My first CrossCurrent back in 2016 had no issues and was a solid bike. My new RipCurrent had some intermittent power delivery issues early on (less than 300 miles - 2 months riding to work) . Later , the LCD display stopped working and no power to the motor. They sent a new controller - no instructions -> could be challenging for someone with zero mechanical skills. I replaced the controller and the LCD display is still dead. Now, I will wait for a new display, I guess. Juiced quality control is not where it should be.

      I have been going back and forth with Juiced over a bad controller, 2 bad hall circuits. Juiced has no replacements and I have seen others waiting close to a year now for one. I am about to wire in a generic one with KT controlller and add a simple PAS to make bike functional again. Very frustrated and met many others who are too. Hey Brian you don't happen to have that old controller?

    I epoxied my upper and lower battery mounts to A, make it stronger (cuz it's the cheapest plastic known to man), and B, to keep the electrical connection tight. It added some weight, but it was well worth it IMHO.

    • @btmura
      @btmura  Před 5 lety

      Hi Dbf, that sounds smart! More rigid and solid! So with epoxy it is not possible to take the mounts off and push the male connector out for tightening?

    • @dbfcrell8300
      @dbfcrell8300 Před 5 lety +1

      @@btmura I did not epoxy them to the frame, if that's what you're asking? My bottom battery bracket came cracked, so I epoxied the crack and most of the backside to strengthen it. Then I did the same to the top mount, including the battery plug so it cannot become loose, ever!

    • @btmura
      @btmura  Před 5 lety

      Yeah, that is what I was asking. Oops, it makes much more sense now! That's a smart decision. There sure are a lot of different way these bikes come shipped...

    Brian how much did you pay for the ECU controller and where did you buy it from?

    • @btmura
      @btmura  Před 3 lety

      I believe Juice sent it to me when I was working with them on a support ticket.

    Briant, I ripped both edges of my rubbwer strip when attempting to get it out from the underside of the frame.... Any suggestions? Should I rip it all out, glue it back and then reinstall it or.... should I wait and live with the small tears and try to use a superior tool/method to get them out?
    I am stuck!
    Thanks for the video!

    • @btmura

      Hi Charles, can you try to lubricate the rubber strip with water a bit and try to pull them out at the same angle that they go in?

    Thanks for doing this video. How is the bike doing now? I am considering the CCX but want to hear from real people who own the bikes. I am riding Rad power bikes now but I like the increased power of the Ccx over the CCS. 1295W of power verses 1035w in the CCS2. Have you noticed the difference since you put the new controller in?

    • @btmura
      @btmura  Před 5 lety +1

      Hey Peaceful Prepper, my bike is doing well and a hair away from 1000 miles! I think it needs some brake and chain maintenance. I'm preparing to change to narrow wide chainring to stop the chain falling off. Common issue it seems discussed on EBR forums.

    • @btmura
      @btmura  Před 5 lety

      Race mode works well with the proper controller now. These days I'm usually just in Assist Level 1 now. When I need to go over a hill, I just hold down the throttle as I pedal. Race mode too scary, haha.

      @@btmura Is it pretty random in how it comes off, or is it when going over bumpy roads or speed bumps? Thanks for the update and sharing your experience. I'm highly debating whether or not to order a CCX. Main concern is maintenance and lack of local support for when I have a problem.

    • @btmura
      @btmura  Před 4 lety +1

      @@morningtidefilms It has to be bumpy for it to come off in my opinion. Still haven't gotten around to putting on the chain ring. I just fixed the brake caliper after it got too dirty and got stuck after a 1000 miles.
