That pov and soud reminds me to airsoft videos. 😂
that’s why it sounded familiar
Yeah but I love the sound tho
polar star haha
less is more.. this can't be stressed enough.. in photography, as well as in any other industry, quality should always go above the quantity
They got in the wedding day a forest fire and a storm...what a lucky guys!
Time to buy lottery tickets
I photographed my first wedding 2 weeks ago and found your videos incredibly helpful when it came to actually shooting on the day! Thank you for taking the time to show people part of the process :)
UNRATEDGfx aww this is so awesome!!!
I'm shooting a wedding today in the rain so this was a great video for me to watch. I have a second shooter but no video. I'm hoping for the best but will allow my natural talent to do most of it with a happy outlook on the day, knowing I'll have some great shots capturing that day!
'I'm a believer in less is more....and video" hahaha. This is amazing, as a videographer I never understood how people shot weddings and did both that and photos at the same time. This was such a great video!
Nobody gonna praise for both of them for being more expressive and noy nervous while being filming?
That's a great first look. Much more aesthetic and natural outdoors and without a buncha bridal party around, etc.
Love your wedding videos man! Keep up the great work.
Masonjwright123 🙌I read this in your avatars voice.
Masonjwright123 this is such a cool video!
I love these so much!! I could watch hundreds of these until it all sinks in as secondhand experience.
Evelina Sturzeneker I love these too!!!!!
Beautiful video! On the Tube this series is the best!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Yes, always have “acts of nature” in your contract, and yet always try your best to deliver images even in bad weather conditions.
Beautiful place. Nice vedio good job
A Filipina In Australia he did such a good job :)
that looks pretty fun despite the rain but actually i like rain so its cool
Hah it’s just the wind that I don’t like. It’s the most challenging element for sure
Am i i only one who's thinking that those shots were insane.love you man.....good luck...
sadman sakib no I think he did awesome too!!
I love shot together 😊😊 Thanks for Video!!!
This was really cool! I love the commentary
awesome
I do a lot of coast redwood weddings under the dark 300 foot canopy, with a mix of rain, mist, for and harsh sun. I wish most days could be the soft light and gentle conditions in your video. BTW .. love that Tamron 85mm mounted on one camera ... wondeful lens.
I just bought your presets they're awesome, I got parts here and there, made a Frankenstein out of your presets lol and thats what I use, soon i also plan on joining your patreon
Hah! That’s awesome. Happy you did that!
Awesome brother 😘😘😘🎉
Home🇸🇽😍 this is gorgeouss!
Floriane Javois I’m obsessed w this! 🤩🤩🤩
took your advice on the Tamron 35mm, easily my favorite lens.
well, some fun comments pinned there.. jeeze. Rocking the rain. Good stuff Taylor
1:00 to 1:16 what a beautifull song!!!
i love tamrons 85mm so much
Great tips! Thanks a million for the video
look a moment with amazing pic!
Extraordinary work 😍 broo
Hi Taylor, Great video! I'm on Sony and switch between photo/video
Just wanted to get your opinion on the raised shutter speed that I can see you have whilst switching to video
Do you notice much jumpy footage?
Im always sticking to the 180 rule but want to explore weather I can crank shutter to correct exposure etc when switching modes
excellent
Love the video thank you! Are your presets compatible with ACR? Thanks for giving me the confidence to shoot my first wedding. It will be raining and I only have two lenses, 85mm and 24mm. It will be a challenge forsure, but watching your video helped!
Just luv your vids!
Love from Bangladesh!😄
I feel like a lot of clients choose “quantity over quality”, I have seen photographers promising 600 images and even 1,200 images, but most of them are the same, and some of them deliver raw images.
Lol raw wtf ahaha madness
look like i saw PUBG, dor dor dor dor , so cool!
made my wedding indoors last Saturday easy as pie ;)
Do you shoot in manual or automatic and do u adjust everything on ur own or automatic too (so shutterspeed, iso...) ?
Love the video, so cute 😌
I’m manual for everything most of the time. Sometimes I’ll be auto white balance inside if it’s a lot of different conditions
Looked like great fun I shot a wedding last year in a pure down pour it sucked so bad everyone was drintched
America's Average the worst I had was like 10 years ago with full downpour horizontal rain and we were out at a beach. Everyone had umbrellas down like 300 shields peeking through the cracks
Interesting 👍🏻👍🏻
Great Videos, I thought you'd be using more OCF for the portrait sessions? Do you ever bring out a speedlight or strobe off camera?
Cool video
Please send tacos
Hi Taylor , how do you shoot wide open (1.4) and still getting the couple or every one on focus ?
I try it and I can’t do it , any tips ?
Thanks
autofocus
Get your lens calibrated to the body. A body can be off a little like -1 or -2 and a lens can be off the same way or the other way. If you get them calibrated, your autofocus is more reliable
I find that native brand name lenses focus more consistently. On my canon body I only use canon lenses. I had a sigma and returned it due to autofocus issues
Easy solution: Don't use Canon. :D I used Canon for years, and even with Canon lenses the focus was off at least 20% of the time (and it was way worse with other brand lenses). After switch to Nikon my autofocus accuracy is at least 95%.
@@AaroKeipi Not true anymore with EOS R.
Taylor, have you tried programming a custom button on your Sony camera to switch back and forth from video to photos?
It’s always been the buffer speed that’s been the problem. So even when switching to video mode after shooting raw files on an A9, you have to sit there and watch the files write before you record. Tested it with the fastest cards I have as well
Team notification
Luis Antonio at least it’s in HD this time hah
About how many images do you shoot on a typical wedding day?
Shoot like 3000-4000 usually and deliver 600ish
Less is more!💜👍
Unless you’re talking about candy
Loved the video as always! So you just use the same video settings as the ones you're currently using for photos? Regardless of the 180 degree rule etc?
I don’t know the 180 rule is a thing. I’ll do a side by side comparison someday
Taylor, Have you tried using the GoPro Hero 7 at a wedding for your highlight film? if so how would you mount it to your camera to work seamlessly? I want to transition to hybrid wedding packages here in the bahamas and I just purchased a Nikon D800. (My first Full Frame camera.) I would love to move quickly to the Nikon D850, but its taken me this long to upgrade from the D7100..
I use the GoPro 7 outside when the light is nice. I usually just have it in my back pocket and pull it out when I need it.
p.s. new presets up at www.patreon.com/taylorjackson !
Супер 👍👍👌
Suddenly what the happening with rain
Awesome video! What video quality and frame rate do you usually shoot?
Whatever the max quality at 60p!
Ur Gear Body Is Nikon D500 .
Why on earth don't you have a hood on that lens out in the rain? I know some wedding photographers charge to remove watermarks from their photos but that is ridiculous, lol :D
There’s a lens hood
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto Oh sorry, from the Go Pro view it looked to me like that was part of the lens. It looks too short and shiny to be a hood like the ones I'm used to
Hi taylor i wanna contact you for my wedding in INDIA !
great video! when shooting, do you use af or manual focus?
Af for pictures, manual for video
hOW DID YOU SHOT THOSE VIDEO HANDHELD 😲 😲 😲 😲
Just standing still!
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto That was really amazing job shooting handheld. Never at any moment felt it was shaky. Brilliant work 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I guess I will be the guy who asks for the trade secrete today... what mount are you using for the gopro? Great video btw!
Just GoPro plastic adapters into the tripod mount
Taylor Jackson thanks for the quick response! Do you use some sort of friction arm or L-bracket as well?
i notice you shoot alot mainly around the 1/2000 to 1/3200 mark, is that so you know you are freezing action without any movement at all or is that just down to the wide open aperture ? whats your views on this ? cheers!
Mostly just because I’m wide open outside
What tipe bracket do you using for mounting gopro?
What software do u use for editing videos
What is your intro music?
Hope ya brought hot pennies and desiccant😋
I'm so uncool I don't even know what this means
Are you switching in and out of LiveView for the videos or photoing in LV as well?
Switching, but D850 lag time isn't much
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto Nice! I have a few D5 bodies but always carried a third (D500) for videos. I think I am going to try to just switch to LV on the go. Great idea! Thanks!
Do you ever get soft images shooting the Tamron 35 wide open at 1.8?
Mine is really sharp. My friend Tim’s needed some dock correction to get it closer and it’s still not quite as good as how mine came out of the box. So sadly there are (hopefully were) some CC issues
Taylor Jackson copy that. I have the lens on my 6d and it’s been great. But I think I notice a difference wide open so I’m usually shooting at 2.2. Thanks for the quick response man!
Hi,....can you plese suggest me, which lens is better to shoot/use weddings during ceremony(inside church) church n group.photos... which will.give me sharp n better quality 16-35 l 24-35 Art l 24-70...
24-70
@@cdavid119 thanks.. but 24-70 isnbit costly for me, by the way will 24-35 Art works? Is the lens good enough to invest?
@@lamkavangkhua1459 I really have no idea of what body you are shooting on so I can't tell you. But if you haven't before check out the Tamron SP 24-70 f/2.8 Di VC USD, the first iteration of it can be found for around 500 USD used and it will produce very respectable images. If that is too much money I would suggest taking some smaller jobs in the mean time to build up your photography kit. That being said I know people who shoot entire weddings on a 50mm 1.8 and their finished products are amazing.
Taylor, has the A9 the same buffer delay as the A73 and A7R3?
When I tested one of the first release versions it did, but I haven't tried since the new firmware. Don't suspect it would have changed anything, but maybe.
Hello, why you use the lens hood in every wedding session?
In case I smack my lens off things. More useful for the camera that hangs off my arm all day
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto doesn't that using the lenshood affect the results of the photos you got?
@@IrfanHindami lens hood is used to prevent glare and lens flare, so if anything it will improve the quality of the pictures. Unless of course, You would like to intentionally introduce some flare - which I did on a number of occasions when shooting at a party against DJ stand with bright lights. But usually I keep my lens hood for protection - I don't like filters...
Why is the top screen blurred out ? Are your settings secret
there’s water on the GoPro temporarily because of the rain
I see you going from photo to video to photo, however your shutter speed stays so high on the screen. Does your camera automatically switch to the 180 rule when you go right to video from photo?
I’ve never abided by this rule and haven’t noticed anything negative
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto cool to know. May be fine for not like vlog style and just short clips, who knows. Either way can't be impeding very much because the slow motion looks great. Keep up the work!
XxLogo I’m going to do a side by side test and see if there’s any difference at all
Taylor Jackson be interesting to see that’s for sure!
AIRHOOORRRRRNNNNNN 4 DAYZZZZ DARD
D800 for hybrid? What do you think? 😊
That’s the first camera I started doing it seriously on, so it’s totally possible.
Taylor Jackson great! Thanks for your time!!!
do you always use a low aperture on photos?
Yep
M
No flash?
Well, he stands to far away for a flash. Also most photos look quite similair if shot with flash comapred to natural light.
Natural light tends to need a bit more edititng, but gives beter images
you dont need the best gear out there to shoot a wedding.... you just need to learn and use things to protect your gear... just because you can afford the fancy newest tech does not mean everyone else can.
To do proper hybrid coverage that doesn’t sacrifice quality unfortunately you still have to spend some money. Do do photo, I’d be fine with a D750 and 85mm 1.8 all day
What iso did you use for outdoor and indoor shooting ?
As low as I can get alway with and stay above 1/100th shutter speed
Taylor Jackson I saw sometime you pushed iso to 1600 or 3200, is it okie with the wedding shots ? I shoot my photos at 800 or 1600 and they got a lot of grain :(
8:28 you're holding camera wrong

That's my favourite number

What tamron are you using?
They're both in the description - 35 and 85
hi sir Taylor Jackson I'm one of your fan I really love your wedding picture my sisters wedding is coming soon I'm gonna be their photographer what I want to say is can you share your presset in lightroom for free sir hehe because I reallly love your photos
They're in Patreon for $20, which includes an incredible amount of other content and downloads as well!
I feel like shooting both at the same time should be avoided if you can. I feel like while it is possible, it comes at the cost of reducing the quality of both photos and videos
Joe O'Connor I disagree. I think it makes a better overall capture of the day
Its like making a movie no wonder they charge so much for photography 😂
As a photographer, I can tell you that photo shoots take a lot of time and effort.
J o e m 2 2 0 1 Plays yes and they do a great job :)
St.maarten🇸🇽🇸🇽🇸🇽🇸🇽🇸🇽🇸🇽🇸🇽🇸🇽
Do you always shoot with your wife?
Very rarely. Smarter to run independent business to attract different types of clients and make double the income
I'm late
America's Average 🌯🌯🌯
I thought the groom wasn’t supposed to see the bride before the wedding🤔
Only on Tuesday’s
Probably question that has been asked before: what's the average number of pictures You take at the wedding? You seem to be quite "trigger happy" ;-)
Daniel Garczarek about 3500 usually. Deliver about 600
Heyyy can i work with u
Bro you need to get rid of that intro.... there's a better way to establish your credibility and experience. I love your content but, don't get a big head
I'll replace it with the pizza song
Depends on which pizza song it is 😉
@@melaniekraemer2604 I only have one pizza song! Other choices are the Burrito song, or On The Business
Pizza over burrito for sure 💪🏻
what are those lens you are using?
Tamron 85 and 35
