Many observers say it is sad when family members encourage one who has no talent. My parents did not give me credit for anything. I won a $15.00 ck in a writing contest in 7th grade. My parents did NOT attend. All that mattered to my mother was the ck. I had a creative writing ability, had an aspiration to become a journalist. Wanted to go to college. All my parents wanted was for me to head for work. My mother even wanted me to quit High School & go to work. I didn't quit. But when I did work it was a mediocre job making $3.90 an hr. (The minimum wage at that time period). My parents took half my payck. I hated the job. Ended up pregnant, out of wedlock, & my life went nowhere. Though parents encourage the child to audition & the child hasn't got it, it is positive. If the child doesn't have it continue to encourage the child but in another direction...
the last lady I really feel so bad for her because she has this delusion that she can sing and she can't. i've been told by family and friends that I can sing but I don't believe I can so I would be extremely nervous if I went on a show like the xfactor

I don't bother listening to music on the radio these days because no matter how many different songs by different artists they play, it's like listening to the same song by the same artist over & over. I'll take the unique over them any day. But that's just my opinion obviously.
I did notice that if you are humble and put a 100 percent into it. And sound somewhat decent. They will invest in you at least TIL the next round. Being humble and not an idiot they will at least pay attention to you.
What shocks me more than any of the horrific singers is that Cheryl Cole was considered able to judge! I’ve seen her support the Black Eyed Peas, and simons judgement was as terrible as WillIAm’s.
