The dialogue is so good in the scene. That's exactly something an inexperienced girl would ask a guy she just lost her virginity to. Have you had many women? Lol.
I love this scene. It took me years to fully realize how good the characters are in this movie. Patrick Swayze’s character is looked at as a “street” person, a dirty dancer, a playboy, and perhaps a bit of a thug. However, who he is inside is an artist, a dancer, and a sensitive person. At this resort, for perhaps the first time in his life, he felt seen and appreciated for who he really was, but in reality, a lot of these women didn’t really care about him. He was just part of their vacation, and he was a means of temporary escape from their luxurious, comfortable, and ultimately boring lives. What he had always longed for was someone who cared for him the way that he noticed and cared for others. He became jaded, until he met Baby, and saw her being brave. It reminded him of who he really was deep down. Even brings a tear to my eye. They captured that vulnerability so well. There was a lot of tension apparently between the serious Patrick Swayze and the capricious Jennifer Grey. Perhaps that helped them nail this scene.

What seems to come out of Johnny is - when he came back, decides he will do his kind of dancing not just a great dancer --- but taught him about the type of person he wants to be. He didn't know any different before that - and I think that Baby's eyes also opened to the 'big world' out there - how people easily abuse others

I have always liked Dirty dancing anyway and it was my favorite movie as a kid. This was one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie. It was so hard not to be fascinated with the love story
