    Great review Neil, thanks. Really liking what Renault are doing now. Would consider this - if I wasn’t a dog owner ! The boot loading lip height is just too high on so many cars (SUVs ) at the moment. 650 mm probably a reasonable max height. Most of these are nearer 800. Might have to get an e-Berlingo !

      Get an estate! Best for dogs. (Although actually I have a Lurcher and he always seems slightly happier whenever I have a Land Rover Defender on test…)

      @@eDriveMag Yes… I’ve driven estates since 1999 .. until getting the Soul, 3 years ago. I’m gone EV and unlikely to go back, and the MG5 estate has a higher load lip than the Soul ! Enyaq and MG4 lowest measured at a recent EV show here. But still higher than my old Vdub and Škoda estates. My little Spaniel had no problem with them. Waiting to measure Astra and 308 estates.

    I disagree loud and clear: I don't want an SUV and I've never wanted one. The more of a van and the less of an SUV this car is, the better.

    I testdrove this one and the megane E tech yesterday. I like the Scenic better

    Test drove one yesterday and we put an order in. Far superior to the Peugeot 3008 (which felt very claustrophobic).

    Thank you. Clear, concise and informative. Looks a very good car. Model Y still looks a better package for space and charging. Renault more comfortable and ergonomically sensible. Peugeot e3008 a bit more luxurious inside? I imagine so.

      @eDriveMag Před 5 měsíci +2

      I (shamefully) haven’t driver the new e-3008 yet, but should get that ticked off the list in the next few weeks. I’d have the Scenic over the Model Y purely on the basis of refinement and quality though.

      You're more than welcome, thanks for watching. The new e-3008 is very nice inside, especially with the new layout. Check out the video of it: czcams.com/video/y1e4FuXtWts/video.html

    The only way one knows what the range is, one needs to take it out on the freeway and do the speed limit. Most people who drive battery cars say one needs to reduce the claimed range by 1/3. This is a more realistic comparison to what the claim of distance is..Any comments welcomed..

      @murfmac9197 Před 2 měsíci

      personally, i find 25% is more accurate for motorway (freeway) speed here in the UK (70mph) as my 339 mile WLTP ID3 Tour returns around 250 miles at motorway speeds. 1/3 would be safe though year round. However, in Town my car can easily exceed the 339 mile WLTP range and achieve around 350 to 370 from a full charge in summer or even slightly more on good warm days.

      @wakeywarrior Před měsícem +1

      Reports say the long range is getting 310-330 miles at motorway speeds (68mph) in decent weather.
      Nearly every car so far has had the bigger wheels, I expect with the 19 inch wheels that will add 10-20 miles to the figures. Ride comfort will also be better.

      We just got invited by our Renault dealer to a test drive (we already have an electric Twingo and we are so happy with it).
      Meanwhile, our goes-everywhere-car is still our 17-yo Ford c-Max Diesel. A car that is hard to beat in terms of variability and economy.
      We have our personal highway travelling speed limit to Google-Maps-110km/h, where it`s allowed, and we are very curious how far the Scénic will be able to go at that speed.
      Highway sneaker? Not at all. Fast enough to travel even long distances - we know pretty well what we are talking about. About 400km of range in summer at this speed would be perfectly fine for us. The Scénic could do that. And we are really looking forward to that test ride.

    wish they had used a new name - the 'inventors' of the MPV sector sell out to the SUV - which they've already done with other models, so why keep the name?

      Using the same name helps with familiarity we assume.

    Only 350km autonomy when driving 120km/h? Very bad…. EU should only allow ev cars that have 700km autonomy on highway
