      Marchand would be a perfect Hab in many ways. Shoot, skate, and agitate, all at elite levels. It's literally how Montreal has usually preferred to build, is players like Marchy with speed skill and a bit of a dirty edge.
      Probably why the Habs hate that he's a Bruin.

    • @TheShaggster37
      @TheShaggster37 Před rokem +2

      Are you referring to him bumping Swayman? He was 20 feet away when the cover was made and 10 feet when the whistle blew. He had time to make an effort not to do that. It wasn't a "protect our goalie from danger" thing, it was a "don't disrespect the game of hockey" thing. There was nobody around him and he wasn't bumped into Swayman, he made a conscious effort to bump him and give him a snow shower. The crease belongs to the goalie, especially when the play is over because he covered the puck.
      I'm not saying Evans did anything wrong there, in fact I love those kinds of plays because on-ice drama is hilarious to me. But more importantly, the unwritten rule of "don't mess with our goalie" is great for the game. Mess with the goalie, you get the McAvoy. True teammates stick up for each other, no matter the degree.

    I'm surprise as no one seems to talk about how Jake Allen just let his player get jumped in his crease and did basically nothing to defend his player. As a habs fan I was really disappointed about this. In hockey, the moment your goalie gets pushed even a tiny bit, you'll see the whole lineup jump the guy doing the pushing. Seeing Allen letting Pitlick getting dropped like that and not doing much made Boston look even more like a well oiled machine. What do you guys think?
