I own this watch. I never get tired of looking at it on my wrist. I love the looks, the accuracy and the attention to detail.
Grand Seiko sets themselves apart with those details, and the innovation.
the unique beauty of this watch simply cannot be fully translated through video/images. in the flesh, it's sublime.
I completely agree! I feel that way with a lot of the Grand Seiko dials. They are incredible.
Thanks for the video I love this watch.. started staking money hopefully getting it by the end of this year
Thank you, the dial work on these is incredible. I almost look at GS dials like functional art
I purchased this watch 2 years ago in Europe. The reference is SBGA413g where the g stands for global. It is amazing indeed.
GS has an amazing creativity with these dials and movements. Next level. Happy you’ve been loving yours.
Beautiful, absolutely.
Thank you!
I don’t think your comment about the lack of on the fly adjustment is nitpicking. It’s what’s holding me back from buying it. I mean, how do I know without purchasing it if I’ll be able to get the right fit? And I know aftermarket straps are available, but to make such a big purchase, when I like the way it looks on a bracelet, seems nuts.
On steel, at least they have the half kinks so I could find tune it to a good degree. But I have this weird thing with titanium that when my wrist swells or cools down, it makes the titanium too tight or too loose. I did find out about an interesting brand called Steel Reef that offers a system similar to Rolex's easy link for multiple brands including Grand Seiko.
@@DougFNJ Really! I’ll check it out. Thanks for that. My wrist expand and contracts during the day also, and a fixed clasp kinda freaks me out. With my leather straps the material naturally stretches, so eventually I can get a great fit. But not so with bracelets.

I deal with the same thing, the struggle is real brother lol. Steel Reef is a great solution.
@@DougFNJ so I just went to their website and at this point they’re only making the product (which looks pretty cool and is called “Swift Link) for GS in 18mm removable links. Sigh. And they haven’t yet, but intend to develop the product for GS titanium watches.
So many positives on GS, but at that price, no micro-adjust AND no on-the-fly adjustment is absolutely unforgivable. Even if I was ready to spend that kind of money, that is a definite deal-breaker. What are they thinking about?
One area they need to catch up. The half links do help, but micro adjust fine times it for every wrist size.
Not true. My SBGN019 bracelet fits perfect on my 7.5" wrist. Removed 1 full link and 2 half links. Perfect fit.
I like everything about the watch except the transparent caseback... and of course, the price😎.
It is an interesting decision to put the logo on the caseback the way they did
I have to say there’s a small gap between the case and the links. The tolerance seems to be pretty bad
I made a review myself
a really awesome watch nonetheless
One thing I wish Grand Seiko would work on is better bracelets. Outside of that, outstanding watches. I’ll check out your review!
Look at this watch, Swiss watch industry, and despair.
A solid competitor for sure.
