I got the steel one, M93. What a lovely watch.
Why isn’t tritium found on more watches? It’s the best but only luminox has it. To me any lume sucks compared to tritium.
I think the first thing is people get concerned that there is radium in tritium. The second problem is after a period of time, it degrades, discolors, cracks, and falls apart. Look at a vintage watch that used it years ago, you could see the long term effect.
I can get behind these. The non coated ones for me. 😊

Yes! Been awhile, been a busy busy summer. Got a 10 day trip, and then I have some fun stuff from Casio to show you guys. 😁
My 7710 is 12 year-old and counting. There are so many cool things about this model that I wonder why Casio discontinued this type. Moderate size 45 Super functional - 3 time zones or week-day-date-day of the year-time Alarms, timer, stopwatch 200 m shock resistant All the g-shocks today are either too big (50-55+) or with not too much useful info on the screen or both.
I wish they would come out with a modern version of this.

Works fine, that's what I've paired it with in all the videos. Ideally works best with Android, but perfectly fine with iPhone as well.

They have a newer version, but I believe the GPR-B1000 is more premium.

not sure why so surprised on the size of it as you know most g-shocks are known to be oversized anyway, like the rangeman, mudman, mudmasters, etc. Question tho, would this be the same size as a say the Rangeman master of G?
This was one of the first ones at this size back then. It's right on par with a lot of the Masters of G now.

Hello! Just got mine and i got a lil problem. Got the time and date set but the bluetooth icon doesn’t turn on the screen as i follow the instructions mentioned in their website, the holding mode button for 2secs and then start button for another 2 secs. Can’t really connect it to my phone without it, thanks for the video!
I don’t think your comment about the lack of on the fly adjustment is nitpicking. It’s what’s holding me back from buying it. I mean, how do I know without purchasing it if I’ll be able to get the right fit? And I know aftermarket straps are available, but to make such a big purchase, when I like the way it looks on a bracelet, seems nuts.
On steel, at least they have the half kinks so I could find tune it to a good degree. But I have this weird thing with titanium that when my wrist swells or cools down, it makes the titanium too tight or too loose. I did find out about an interesting brand called Steel Reef that offers a system similar to Rolex's easy link for multiple brands including Grand Seiko.
@@DougFNJ Really! I’ll check it out. Thanks for that. My wrist expand and contracts during the day also, and a fixed clasp kinda freaks me out. With my leather straps the material naturally stretches, so eventually I can get a great fit. But not so with bracelets.

@@DougFNJ so I just went to their website and at this point they’re only making the product (which looks pretty cool and is called “Swift Link) for GS in 18mm removable links. Sigh. And they haven’t yet, but intend to develop the product for GS titanium watches.

It's a lovely watch but its a pity that the 10 o' clock on the watch face is partly missing, the PRG 650 version has the 6 o' clock partly missing, I must have OCD because that would annoy me so much that I would avoid buying it.
It's funny, that's a hit or miss with people. I like that for some reason, many unknown hate it.
Fallen down a Doxa rabbit hole recently, and this is so cool, but I think it has too many ‘Clives’ - I think just calling it the ‘Cussler’ would be better!
They just released a new darker limited edition of this watch. Doxa is definitely a rabbit hole. Something so unique, classic, and original about this design.

I believe the watch now tracks activities using your phone’s GPS. But what about the built in GPS chip, is that used for anything other than the Bring Me Back feature?
Some watches use the phone and on board GPS for continuity and backup.

Hi Dough, my dad gave me his frogman GWF A1000 couple years ago, I had no problem connecting it before, but my phone that was connected to my watch was actually lost in vacation it's been quite some time till i start using my frogman again, and I notice that the time wasn't right, so i tried to connect it to my new phone and it's somehow not working. Can you help me with this problem?
Have you downloaded the new Casio App? They merged apps to one, that may get you up and running.

This watch is still one of the most beautiful Aqua Terras, even nearly 4 years later. The rubber strap is the perfect choice over the bracelet. A nice casual daily wear.

Yes, works like a ratcheting system and so well hidden.
After all this years, I'm still wearing my G-9300-1 👍. It's ok for freedive but not suitable for scuba diving. Recommended to get a proper dive computer watch for scuba diving.

I know this is a late comment considering when this video was released, but I just picked one of these up off eBay and imported it from Japan. I was wondering how you change the time zone that it automatically displays without pressing any of the buttons? Should the watch automatically ping to the tower that I’m nearest to?

Thank you Steve! The older versions of the 1312 were Ecru, that faux-tina. Newer versions are that white green. This version I reviewed was the white green.
Any idea how to get the backlight to illuminate for more than 1.5 seconds? I scoured the internet looking for that info and havent found it anywhere. The manual doesnt mention it either so I'm guessing it cant be adjusted like all the other ones i have
Unfortunately I don’t believe the backlight time could be changed on the Riseman
